Large Box Braids On Short 4C Hair| How To Do Box Braids On Short Hair|| Thehairscientist

Hey guys is ash here and I am coming with another tutorial, so this tutorial is gon na, be large box braids using the rubber band method. It is a painless method, so I showed you the style and jam braiding edition that I am using by the magic finger studio. I think this one is called baby who just was $ 10 at my beater supply store, and so basically I used I'm using that to clean my parts and basically I wanted to just let you guys know do this. Take you to cleaning your parts it'll make a break yeah, but that's what i'm doing here, i'm using a rat tail comb, a metal rat tail comb and then you'll see later in the video. I actually use a plastic comb. We'Re about. Eight of the teeth are broken, so you only have the top part of the cone to clean your parts with. So that's what i'm doing here and yes! You can do alright y'all, so I wanted to come and explain exactly what I'm doing in these clips. So her hair is in a rubber band. So what I do is I section the hair, that's hanging from the rubber band into two. So there's a right side and the left side, as you can see here and then I'm gon na use some of the gel to smooth it and what I'm gon na do is I'm going to separate my actual weaving hair into three sections which I'll show and Later in the video - and so I slowed it down here - so you guys can see so the right leg gets that right side of the natural hair. The left leg gets the left side of the natural hair and that middle leg gets no natural hair, and so that's what I want to show you guys. So you can position the hair. However, you do when you're braiding. This is normally how I position and, as you can see here, that middle has no natural hair and so from there I am going to start to brai. So I grab the natural hair with my left hand and then from there I'm going to start to braid and as I'm braiding, I want to focus on and make sure that her natural hair is tucked underneath the synthetic hair. So if you look at the top of the braid, you won't see any of her natural hair, but if you lift the braid up you'll see her natural hair is tucked underneath. So that is what tucking is, so I just continue to break down, but I rolled the synthetic hair over her natural hair, which you'll see in the rest of the video, and I think I have a little clip right here. So sorry, my arm is in the way, but you'll see like right here I begin to actually roll the synthetic hair right here make sure that her hair is tucked underneath that synthetic hair and so from there just braiding down. So you can do okay, so right here, I'm showing how I basically do be prepared the hair for the braids. So I take one third of the braiding hair that I have set aside for the actual braid and I'm basically going to cross it over the remaining of the hair and create a loop like knot. And that's going to give you your three legs for your braid and from there I attach the hair, as you can see here. That is how you do it. It'S pretty simple. So what I did was I picked her ends. Of course, in hot water, which is what I'm doing here, don't buy my hair, I was prepping for a week's but um yeah, so I just dipped her ends, and then I put it in a bun, and that was it.
