Hi, you guys welcome back so today. I finally have an updated version of these beach waves. Undone messy hair curls with a straightener. It'S my favorite way to curl my hair. I can't tell you the last time I use my wand. I can't tell you the last time I use my curling iron. I love my straightener and I love the waves that it gets so the straightener that I'm using oh, my gosh - I don't even have it right here, hold on. Let me grab it, I'm still using this ghg straightener the best trainer ever. I think it's so good for these, like beach wave curls, because the irons are a little bit curved, so it doesn't leave any harsh jets in your hair and it smoothes off really easily smoothes off. I don't know, that's a that's, not it right! Anyways, I've had a lot of questions about this in the last hair tutorial. This pink one was a limited edition, one for breast cancer awareness, so they don't have this one anymore unless it's gon na come out again in October, if you guys have seen my other hair tutorial um, I want you guys to comment below and let me know If you have found me through that or if you been subscribed since I uploaded that video I'm gon na show you how I've been curling, my hair show you how it's gon na be changed a little bit the products I'm using and all that stuff. So if you guys want to see how I bought these effortless voluminous Beach waves, please keep watching okay. So this is the hair, then I'm starting with day 2 hair. I washed it yesterday and it was straightened yesterday, but if you guys don't have to start with straight hair, my last tutorial didn't have straight hair in it, but I just did my hair, so I don't want to like wash it and do this video so that It was like air, dried and, like first day here, you could do whatever that's just what I'm working with today. So umm, like I mentioned in my last tutorial, I do not section off my hair when I curl it, because I feel like if you're going for that effortless like beach wave separating it sometimes makes it too perfect. So I want to like leave some pieces. A little bit undone a little bit like messy, so I'm not going to section it off, and I actually think that makes this even easier um and that's just the process that I do so. I'M just gon na start by picking up a few pieces of hair. Same situation, I think that you guys wanted to see an updated version of this, because my it's maybe changed a little bit. Maybe my hair looks different, but I think the texture of my hair is different than it used to be because now I've bleached it three times. So it is different and it looks different. While this is hot, so um same situation, you guys, I, if you guys, haven't seen my last beach waves tutorial, I'm sorry, I keep referencing it. I basically just clamp it and then twist around once maybe twice and then let go and let it fall. So that's kind of like the trick, and I showed this motion in my last video. But I'll do it again in case you guys, haven't seen it so you basically go down like this clamp it twist and then release which is actually super natural because it's not natural to continuously twist it with one hand, it's actually easier just to release it. So if your hair is longer you're, not gon na have to use two hands and twist it a couple times, because all you really want to do is just leave out this little piece at the end, so that you get that like texture at the bottom. I just basically don't want to twist all the way down. You don't want to curl to the end of your hair. You want to release some hair and let it be straight at the end. So do the same process same size, hair pieces, clamp it twist kind of drag down and then release, and that is a good piece right there. That is like ideal piece. I love that kind of make the top of your hair look a little bit more sleek with the straightener, but then you still can curl it, and then you kind of straighten the bottom a little bit and then just release like it's so much easier to me. Like I think this is just like the only way I can do my hair like this is with a straightener, and I also know that so many people don't have curling irons like which is kind of interesting. I would have thought a lot of people would have had them, but I guess like if you buy a hot tool and you spend a lot of money on it or if you just can't afford to get all the hot tools and you just have a straightener. It'S cool that you can do multiple styles with this you know so now these front pieces are a little bit tricky um! You have to be careful, you don't want to start curling too high at the top, because you don't want a curl just like coming out of your head in the front of your face. Cuz these front pieces are what everyone's gon na see you know. So you basically just kind of do the same thing. You start a little bit lower and just do it a little bit more lightly. You know and then release it, so it just has like a little bit of bent and eventually, when you, like kind of when we texturizer hair and put spring in it and kind of like you know, mess with it, the curl will blend into the rest of Them so they won't just be like this one piece in your face. You know um, so now we're gon na go through and find the rest of the pieces that need to be curled kind of like the next little layer. Piece like this big clamp and then release. So just don't try too hard. That'S really the whole point of this because they think it's obvious when you try too hard like that's when your hair just looks like ringlet curls like if you're trying too hard to get a certain style, that's when it just it gets messed up. I think the whole idea of this I mean it's effortless beach waves, it's what we're calling it is that you don't put like a ton of effort into it. That'S why I think it's like a good idea not to section it off, because we want this to be easy. You want this to be quick, and I don't know I just like this technique a lot and also try not to touch the clothes too much until we're going to go through with hairspray and stuff. I kind of want them just to sit in that a little bit tighter of a curl than what they're gon na look like when they're finished. So try not to touch the curls too much. But now I'm just going through and like finding little pieces that need to be curled. So I know I still need to do a lot of the back and I'm sure, there's still some pieces. But later I will go through with them here and kind of look through my hair and look in the mirror to see what still needs to be straight in and check out the back and, like you know, but for now I'm going to move on to the Other side same thing, but now you're doing it on the opposite side down twist, helps to use two hands twist and release lightly. Oh no, if you guys can see, but I'm wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt. It'S like a super like burnout, faded, logo shirt, but I'm gon na do something out for this. It'S currently Saturday putting in work for you guys getting this video up um. I think I'm uh putting this on Sunday I'll cut this part out. If I'm wrong, I've never uploaded on a Sunday, I don't think so. That should be fun. I'M sorry my videos you're, like all over the place right now. It'S like I'm trying to figure out what they works for me and the week's had just been weird. Like summers, just you know, summers all over the place, so I've been trying to figure out what upload day works. I was trying to do Wednesday's, but now I'm just kind of uploading. Every week when I have the video ready, so you guys will just have to let me know what day you prefer and we'll just go from there, but yeah I'm going to Disneyland, I'm just fun, I'm going later in the evening, cuz, it's hot! So it's better to go like later. You know and then be there at night when it's not melting, you know I don't want to be like out there getting sunburned whatever so now and sometimes like when one side is looking flat, like obviously I'm not finished with this side, but maybe like the curls. Look lower on this side I'll just go through and pick up some hair and start the curl a bit higher. So you see here this was waved but the curls super low. I will start a little bit higher up and then wave it release. Okay, now again with the banks, tricky parts, so I this is like the size of my bangs. It'S like my growing outside part. I don't really know they're, not bangs like I haven't cut them, but that's just how they are. This is how I wear them. So this is about the size of the piece. I usually section this off into two pieces and then they eventually kind of blend together, but I just think it works better if you do two individual size pieces like this size pieces of hair - and I do the same thing just like a little bit lighter. I would say, and maybe a little bit faster because I don't want the curls be too tight, so you can see that's how that looks, and then the one directly from your face. You know to be even more careful because this I've done before, where you just look like it's the curls just shred on your forehead, like that's, not you so I start maybe straighten the top a little bit and then start twisting right here, light and then release So I know I said I'm not going to touch him, but so that's ease they kind of blended together. But now I want to pick up a few pieces like right here, so it can just not look like such one curl like look a little bit more textured. So I'll really just pick up this so now, I'm kind of just doing like the sides and the back of my hair. The back is always so tricky because it's hard to do this like motion on the back of your head, where you can't see it. But if you do it enough times in the front, you'll kind of understand what it's supposed to look like and feel like it's like this piece right here is just looking to like flat in this area like it you can see. This is a straight piece, so I'm actually just going to do that real quick and this I was just looking like flat on the top, so I'm just gon na pick up some pieces back there and go over them again, so I'm gon na do one last Check of like pieces that are straight and stuff, but right now, I'm just kind of going through and touching up pieces that I feel like need a little bit of a tighter curl. Okay, now we're going to go through with some product - and this is gon na be these are gon na, be the steps that really change the appearance of your hair. So don't turn your straightener off yet because we could like just run into some pieces that are still straight, that we need to curl, but for now I'm going to start with my texture spray. My love, that's focusing from rock and oil okay. So so this I kind of focus on the end, and this is kind of like when the piscine like with your fingers, comes in um. So I kind of just like do this yeah and it messed with it a little bit. I like to kind of lift up my hair when I spray it so that it adds that volume I kind of just mess with it. I swear I spend more time styling with my hands rather than like with the straightener cuz I feel like. That is really what makes the difference. Should you get the back always forget about the back. I'M like not even done with, like you know, all the product, but that already made such a difference like the girls. Don'T look so like stuck together. You know now we're gon na do luminous hairspray. This is also from rock and oil. This is the current hairspray that I'm using that I'm loving also love a classic big sexy hair. That is just like the classic hairspray you know, but this is what I'm using now so for my hairspray I feel like. I am not convinced. I know how to use hairspray, but this is how I have found that it works for me for my hair um, like you know, like my sister's, our hairstylist, I feel like. I should really pay attention but she's putting hairspray in my hair, but I don't so. We just make it work, we do what we do we're normal girls around here. I know you're, not gon na judge. What I love to do is really focus it on my root, my to it everywhere cuz. They want my hair to stay, but I also really want to get that luminosity out of this hairspray that it promises. You know. So I like to kind of pick up pieces of my hair and spray it into the roof, and then I kind of like work. It in with my fingers, I love when I have long nails. It makes it easier and then same in these spots. Gon na do this situation, and I always do this to like spray this area, because I want to make sure that has value and I'm just gon na spray all over also same with this side. It just kind of teases it a little bit, so it gives it the volume that I'm looking for. Okay, now for my next step, I take one of these combs, whatever they're called, and this is a plane, but it's great it's on brand. Actually, I don't think I don't know where these came from, but it's just one of those things I use every day. I don't know how it came into my life. You know those kinds of things they're, just like laying around like you're like okay. I guess this is mine, like I don't really know where it came from, but cool anyone else know. Okay. So what I do here, I when I was younger. I used to love like the super wavy curls, so I would always curl my hair really tight and then completely brush it out with the brush. Now I kind of have taken that same technique, except I don't fully brush it out. A comb fully brushed through these curls would be way too aggressive. So I just really brush out the route and go like maybe like just this much party on until like it gets to the curl cuz. I don't want to brush out the curl. I just want to, like you know, tone down all the little hairs that are going on everywhere. It might look a little frizzy and then I also kind of brush the end slightly because we want the ends to be. You know textured and a little bit straighter on the bottom, so I kind of do that now. I am gon na take this finishing cream from the way. So I really love this step. I don't know if that's focusing, but it's from the way. So it's almost like a lotion II kind of cream like a moisturizer, I just do like a pea-sized amount, and I really like this step for when I have my hair up with waves, because I do feel like I start to get you know. Let'S just look a little frizzy, you know cuz you're doing so much check sure, there's much spraying. So I like to kind of come through with the finishing cream and tone down, maybe all those little flyaways, all the frizz and just make it look a little bit more sleek, while still maintaining that messy vibe that I, like you know like the curls, aren't perfect They'Re not perfectly curled. I also forgot to mention I like to do my curls all in the same direction. I'M sorry, I should have said that at the beginning um, I don't like the different direction curls for my technique, like I don't mind it, when my sister does it on me, I think it looks good, but something about it for me, I can't do it correctly, Like I don't know, it just always looks like a mess, so I like to curl what my curls in this direction on this side and in this direction on this side, so they're, basically going that way on each side of my face. It'S just it's what I prefer, but I also really love to put my hair behind my ear, because I do a side part, I'm not really a middle part gal. It just doesn't really work for me. It doesn't look good on me. I don't think it'd just have too big of a forehead like I don't know if you guys can relate to that, but that's just the deal with that. So I prefer a side part and I think it looks really cute with one piece behind your ear with it curled it just like. I don't doesn't that look cute like there's so much of volume. It looks so pretty so I'm going to take one last. Look in the mirror like out of the light and out of like this room, so I can really look at it and see what it looks like in natural light, make sure there's no like straight pieces. You just want to take like one final. Look at your hair before you head out the door because you don't want to just get out there and see one long straight piece hanging out like I feel like that could happen. You know so I'm gon na do that really quick and then we'll be done. I think so these curls are it. This is what I've been wearing you guys. I hope you enjoyed this video. I also want to give you guys a little hot tip, a little bleaching. Your hair really make such a difference for curls and I'm not telling you to go bleach your hair, but if you guys have completely healthy hair, you're, probably gon na need a lot of what is the word hairspray holy, so you're, probably gon na need a lot Of hairspray, because it's so funny because I had healthy hair forever and my hair is, you know I bleached it a few times, so it's not as healthy as you used to do, but I would say my hair is still in really good condition for it being Bleached three times like I don't have a lot of breakage: it's not dry, it's still good, but everyone wants you to have healthy hair and it's nice to have a healthy hair. It'S soft it's smooth, but it does not hold styling. So when your hair is a little bit dryer and you have some color in it like I, just freshly bleached, my hair, so the curls are staying so nicely and have so much texture. It'S like blue. It'S just, I feel like it's better. Like honestly, like I don't think healthy hair is all it's cracked up to be maybe unpopular opinion. I don't know, I think, if you're a hair stylist, you would agree it's good to get a little product up in there and help it with the styling. Like you know, if you wear your hair playing straight, you don't touch it. It'S amazing to have straight healthy hair. You know, but I just think this works you know. So I love a fresh bleach situation. So that's what we're here for right now and yeah. I think that is the end of this video. I really hope you guys enjoyed this. If you have any requests for me, please leave them below and, like I said, make sure you guys comment below. If you were here when I posted that original beach wave video, I think that was those maybe almost two years ago. I think so if you've been subscribed since then, if that's how you found me, let me know in the comments I would love to hear. Let me know what you think of this updated version.
