I'M gon na be straightening my hair for the first time and like forever. So this is my texture. It is 4c with a mixture of other, looser textures, but the looser textures are only right here in the back and on the really sides of my head, and so now the only disinfect the only product um, but it is, it is a heat protectant and it Like just add shine and no like weight to it, so I want like a feathery look, so this is gon na help me get it, and so you know, if you have a natural hair, that's super candy. You want to work in sections, so that's what we're gon na do. I can't tell you the last time I straighten my hair. It'S been such a long time and really I was gon na wait till Christmas, but I don't know I just I couldn't wait good way. Okay, so the process starts with me, combing my hair, and you can use your fingers or whatever you want to use, but now I go in and blow dry, my hair and I use the tension method. Now. That'S what this is. My first pass with the blow dryer we're going to go through again, but I just like to do the tension method book that I'm not breaking through my hair every single time and it does get it pretty straight you'll see so then I go in and I Comb, it just a little bit more and then BOOM back to the blow-dryer. When I'm done with each section, I just go ahead and flat twist it and leave it to the side on to the next section. We do. The same thing come on limit out blue dry, it with the tension method again in the blow-dry again and see it doesn't get it pretty straight and I just flat twist it and I move on action. So basically I did my whole head and this is the last section we're going to be doing and I use my round brush okay, so I did that first tension method, but then I go back because I want I go back with the blow dryer, but if I want my hair to get super straight without the fight iron without you know, super direct heat, so this is what does it for me? I try to concentrate mostly on the end and you'll see as you keep going like, it'll be like Moses doing anything, but as you keep going you'll see, your hair is going to get straighter and straighter and smoother and less kinky. Let'S course you'll see, I'm doing this with my brush book head is broken so every time I scoop through, I pretty much have to push it back into the handle, and you can see it like. You can compare the two sections like this is the one that I haven't touched yet with the round brush in this one. I have so it's much straighter, and this is my full head round brush. The couple here is getting longer, but I did get it cut. A few weeks ago, so that's why my hair is getting breaks and stuff and maybe that's why I really wanted to straighten it, because I don't know I just miss my hair, but the length is kind of blah. I got too much lover. It was my fault. That'S what I told her to do, but so here we go in the back now in the back. My hair is going to turn out a lot closer. The focus is where my looser texture is. My hair is so weird, but here we go. I just take my like Brad smokin all and then I just come on through the but I'm behind it, and I only do is one pass and, oh, my god, this is good. You'Ll see my like excitement and surprise face wonderful past. Forget it. This camera does get blurry sometimes, but I have it on this mode not to put like a filter on my face only because when I'm in focus it's really really good quality, oh and pull my hair I'll start it at 400 degrees. And then I went up to 410 degrees and that's the high assignment, that's extra like in my hair. This is where my texture just starts to change to get a little bit more coarse and boom. Just like that right, the top of my hair voila there. You have it a news anchor, I'm pretty happy with the results. Honestly, it's like a really Airy fluffy, it's not soon flat. It'S not too puffy, I'm pretty happy about it! More of this heat protectant, like I said, to give some shine. So I really like how it looks in my hair now it's time to wrap my hair, that's what they doing all the suprise videos. So that's what I'm gon na do there's been a long time since I wrap my hair, so bear with me. This is me not really sure what to expect, and this is an azure back to the dataset SuperDuper severe. Now that I'm with it, I'm happy I'm happy with this. So now I'm just gon na, like you know, you should figure out how I want to wear it, but this is it. Thank you guys for watching love. You you

ForeverCryssy: This is so cute! We literally have the same texture. LOL mine is a lot more heat damaged though--like my subbies point out so often haha!!

Bleur Hart: With washing, blow drying & doing my really thick 4c hair I literally have moments where I stop & damn near cry cuz its so hard to do.

nailedbyamaya: my whole curly hair community said it’s fall so it’s time to straighten this hair

Erykahhh: Music is cute, felt like I was shopping at forever 21

cubangirl00: Looks pretty both ways but, can we take a moment to appreciate how pretty her natural hair looks at the beginning of the video?

ThatCancer Girl95: You're totally giving me the push I need to straighten my own hair. Its about the same length as yours. You did a great job and it looks amazing!

Tieasha Samuels: Giving me late 80's vibes & I'm HERE for it

Very KinkyCurl: Looks like you are about to walk into a business meeting and make ish happen

Lexii Rand: I’m excited to try this method of silk press today! Everytime I’ve straightened my natural hair it always ends up a mess. But combing through it and using that brush may be my savior. I love how calm and fun your voice is and the rest of your videos are great too

Lakisia Marsh: It feels go good to see someone that has the same different textures in my hair do this video!! Thanks for this vid !

Keniiciia Lake: we have the exact same texture like even the back of my hair is a looser that's crazy <3

TWDJT: Thank you for this video. My hair is at about armpit length when stretched, also 4c, but I’ve been going through severe depression and neglecting it so much that there’s so many single stranded knots and it’s so damaged and dry and matted that I think my only option is to chop most of it off and start with maybe 3 inches or so...hoping it’ll be at least 6 healthy inches by the end of the year...been really afraid to go through with it though so videos like yours have been helpful in showing me that very short hair can still be beautiful and feminine and versatile.

Casherel Thirdkill a Honey Moon: So cute. I recently chopped my locs off and look forward to doing a blowout & flat iron within the next year or so. Cute video!

Dajia Thai: Gorgeous! I love how layered your hair is. When you were flipping it around at 8:23 it looked so exciting and vintage. Like a young Meg Ryan

nevaeh: I remember being in 4th grade and going to a salon to get a blowout. At that time, my hair was heat damaged, no protein or moisture, matted, and my ends were so split. I had gotten a protein treatment and this same hairstyle. I was younger, so I was kind of upset that my hair wasn't like my both of my sisters, who were both past shoulder length and mine was chin length. I continued going to that same salon for all of the 4th-grade year (except once when I had gotten braids) and most of the 5th and 6th grade. Already by the end of 4th grade, my hair had flourished. It was no longer thin and brittle to the touch. My hair was thicker and grew a lot in the past few months. I never thought that if I cared for my hair, it would grow so much in such little time. During my 5th grade year, my hair in the back did grow faster than the front, so I got the tail cut off. I was back to neck length, but it was so much are full then it was last time I was neck length, so I paid it no attention. My hair continued to grow. I am now about to start 8th grade and my hair past the sleeves on a short sleeve shirt. This might sound like a little, but after all of this my hair has gone through for the last 3-4 years, this is honestly a milestone. Heat can damage some girls' hair, but heat worked wonders for mine. I hope anyone with damaged hair can find help the way I did. Also, the salon is called Kimberly Gore Salon. <3

Ja’Shea sznn: This gives me confidence for when I get my ends clipped I live the confidence she had and it really inspired me to do the same

It’s hard for me to find actual people with my type of hair to actually learn to care for it in any type of way! Too many click bates! Keep growing and embracing your roots queen, you’re glowing !! *subscribed*

beth161992: What temp do you guys set your straightener to? I know she said 410. My hair gets frizzy the next day when I straighten it at 400. I tried 450 (the max setting) recently and it finally came out like a silk press and stayed that way for a week (could have stayed longer but I have to wash weekly for scalp reasons). Just wondering if that’s crazy high. I’m going to try to remember to go down to 425 whenever I end up straightening my hair again to see if I can get away with a lower temp

Regina Morais: Lindo ,perfeito

stephanie d: It turned out so pretty!

Ashley Edits: I thought I was the only one with multi textured hair so glad there’s more of us we have the exact same thing I have looser curls in the back and the rest is much tighter but I can never straighten my hair on my own it never works out

Elle Jackson: You know setting and pin curling also helps in maintaining the look as well if you’re talking about keeping it and extending the style so that you don’t always have to run an iron through it all the time. Also covering it with bonnets when you shower or bathe also helps too.

Seeing Angel Numbers: Love left side parts as well! You're tension blow dry method is on point.

Ms. LaRue: Your hair is EXACTLY like mine! Texture wise, how thick it is, etc...I'm subscribing!
