I don't know what I'm saying I really don't do intro as well anyway. Today'S video comes highly requested. Ever since I cut my hair, a lot of you guys have been messaging me asking me to do a video on how I style it now, I'm gon na be completely honest with you guys I am a total noob in terms of hair styling. I never used to style my hair before when I had super long hair. I used to get questions about how I get the waves or how I curl it my secret back then was I never brushed my hair, and that was it all I used to do was twist my hair up in a bun and then right before I had To leave the house, I would take it out and then it would just be wavy that was as far as styling was concerned for me, but ever since I cut my hair, I have had to learn how to style it for today's video, I'm gon na be Showing you guys how I curl my hair this way this is the hairstyle I do when I want to look more put together or when I've got an event, and I want my hair to look like. I actually made an effort. If you want to see how I style my hair, like did, is that was annoying, please keep watching, okay guys. So before we get into the actual styling of my hair, I wanted to talk to you about how I prepped and protected from all of the heat that I'll be putting on it. If I know that I'm gon na be curling my hair the night before I'll, shampoo, my hair and then, while it's still damp I'll put in my new Holy Grail hair care product, I am completely obsessed with it. Olaplex number six bond, smoother Sephora, sent this to me in a PR package about a month ago and I haven't stopped using it since it's a leave on conditioner that basically helps to protect and nourish your hair. After I cut my hair, I ended up coloring it. I went a couple of shades lighter and I noticed that my hair wasn't as smooth it wasn't as silky and it wasn't as shiny as it was before. I colored it, but I've come to find that ever since I started using this, my hair not only feels super soft and silky, but it's smooth. It'S so easy to comb and it's just so easy to handle now. So, even if I'm not styling my hair on the days that I do shampoo, I will put this right after this is available on supportive cell opinion. So if you guys are looking for a really good leave on conditioner or a cream that can sort of help bring life back into your hair, I suggest you give this olaplex want to go and don't forget that if you use the code parla at checkout, you Can get ten off of your orders? I know you're welcome. I'Ve come to find that it not only protects my hair, but the curls they sort of stay on longer and they look a lot more natural and a lot more worn in now that you guys know how I prep and protect my hair. Let'S get on with the styling when it comes to hairstyles, my ultimate hairstyle crush is Haley Bieber. I love her hair. I love how she Styles her hair. I think that it's just so effortless, it's so fun and it looks really easy to do and because I never really styled my hair before the only hairstyle tool that I actually have is a flatiron. I have no idea what brand this is. It'S already rubbed off. I'Ve had this for a couple of years already and Trina actually gave this to me any flat iron will do I mean they all work the same basically, and this is the one that I like to use, I'm really sorry again, there is absolutely no brand in It, it just says, had permanent wave irons, because I've got really thick hair. I like to section it off and then just work my way in sort of layers and stages. That way I get to curl each section and then afterwards I can just shake it up. I park my hair in the middle, as you guys can see that's as middle as it's going to get, and then I take a banana clip. I call this a joke track, but apparently not everybody knows what a joke check is. Oh mama mama. I remember when I was a kid I used to have a like a white version of this or like a baby, pink one, and then I used to put in my mouth and pretend I was a monster. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na section, my hair and I'm gon na start from the bottom. I'M gon na take like 3/4 of my hair. Basically flip it up. Oh wow, that is a look okay, my best look yet people, so the first tip that I can give you guys is when it comes to curling your hair, especially with a flatiron, is you want to take it in sections, because I, like the more each way Type of look, I take quite large chunks of my hair that way, I'm not only curling my hair faster, but when the waves drop, they drop a lot bigger and a lot fuller. My second tip is how you curl your hair. If this is how my Flatiron looks I'll clip it and I'll curl away, you guys will see what I mean in a minute. But the reason why I like to curl away from my face is so that the waves fall outwards, because, if you curl towards your face, the waves will fold in and you'll be left with. Like this really weird look, I've tried it. It'S not a look. This can be a little hard, so practice really is key. My Flatiron flip it and then I'm going to twist away from my face like that and then just pull it down. You guys can see it's curling this way. So it's away from my face. So again, I'm gon na take quite a big chunk of hair and then with my flat iron, I'm gon na clip it and then twist it away from my face and then just drag it down like that, and then I'm gon na get one last section for The left side and just curl it again the trick for loose waves as well, is to not spend too much time curling it. So I literally will just clamp my hair twist it and then drag it down. So that's the left side done. This is what I was saying: the left side and the rights that are gon na be different, curl away from my face and then just drag it down. That'S there's the curl. This is what I was saying about. Practice is key because it took me a long time as well before I actually got the hang of this. So that's the bottom of my hair done now. What I'm gon na do is I'm gon na curl percise gon na section it again take a little bit of hair from each side. That makes sense. I find that it's easier for me to do that. I'M gon na get a bunch of hair from the left side like that much and then I'm gon na clip everything again, I'm just looking more and more attractive. As this video continues on, I mean now, I'm going to curl a bunch of hair on the left side, but this time I'm gon na start from the back twist away from my face. It'S got like this really nice s type of weight, I'm just gon na quickly, curl the rest of this and then I'll show you guys again my technique. When I get to the friends, there's a lot more body now so now we're just gon na do the front of the hair, I'm gon na clamp it and curl away from my face. Just drag it down that that's the left side done so again. I'M gon na start from the back. I honestly never thought in a million years that I would ever start styling my hair. I am so lazy, especially when I had long hair. I never did anything now that I have shorter hair. I'M spending a lot more time. Caring for my hair, I do notice a difference like my hair is so much softer now and so much healthier, even if I style it a lot more. I guess that's a good thing. Another tip that I have for you guys is, after you've curled a section of your hair, and then it dropped, don't touch it just let it fall, as is so that way, it can sort of settle in its own little like wave and its own little groove. So after I curl I literally just let it stay there and twist away that and then just run the iron through and then let it talk now that I've done the left and the right side, I'm gon na do the entire top of my head. Normally, if I'm curling my hair, like this it'll, take me a 10 to 15 minutes, it's actually really really quick. I don't know if you guys also notice, but I never curl from the root of my hair. I actually do a couple of inches below my roots. Just so that it has that again lived in more natural. Look, because what I want our beachy waves and not ringlets. This hairstyle is really nice if you've got highlights, because your hair has a lot more texture and a lot more movement. The lighter streaks of your hair will be seen. I think that this would look really good as well if you've got ombre hair. So that's all the hair curled now on my left side, but as you can see, I've got bangs. I used to have the blunt bangs before, but I'm trying to grow it out. I actually don't curl the bangs cuz. It looks really funny. I'Ve tried it before and it is not cute. My friends run my iron through it in a curved way like this. Just so that it's got a little bit of volume, you see that, instead of being straight now, it's sort of a little bit wavy and I'm gon na do the right side so again for the bags. I'M just gon na run the iron through it. But it's sort of like in a curve way and that's my hair done. I told you guys it was super simple. It still looks a little crazy, but in a couple of minutes, it'll sort of drop down a little bit more and be less curly. On the days where I want the curls to last a lot longer, I do put some hairspray. This is my current favorite. It really helps hold the curls in place, but it doesn't make my hair feel crispy or dry. It'S the Tresemme solo on finish, extra hold hairspray and for the days where I don't want to use hairspray, but I want my hair to stay sectioned and curly and silky. I love to use way finishing cream. I got this also from Sephora paid for it. With my own money use the code Carla for 10 % off, and I just find that this cream is really good for taming the frizz taming the static, and it does help give that extra shine to your hair plus it smells amazing. I love to use this as well for my roots, whenever I do like a sleek ponytail or I put my hair up in a bun, this is one of my current favorites as well, and there you guys have it that's how I curl and style my hair. I told you I'm not an expert, I just sort of figured it out on my own. I practiced a lot. You guys wanted to see this video, so I hope you enjoyed it if you did don't forget to give it a thumbs up subscribe. If you haven't already and leave me a comment down below, if you want me to do more hair videos now that I've got shorter hair, I've become a lot more adventurous in terms of how I style it. So I do the whole space bun. I have like this fun little trick on how to do like a sleek little ponytail with a scrunchies. So if you guys want to see more hair videos leave them in the comment section below so I know and I'll see you guys again soon for another video bye,
