Hey y'all, it's marcia from pretty girls with curls welcome back to my channel, so i decided to flat iron my hair, and, while doing so, i decided to film the process for y'all, so i washed my hair in the shower. I only used the brazilian carotene treatment. Shampoo, i did not use the conditioner for this style, so i shampoo my hair with that and then i went into the pattern beauty treatment for my deep conditioner and i left that in my hair for about 15 minutes. So the shampoo you use when you're flattering your hair is very important again. I use the ogx keratin shampoo and i really did not like it too much. Usually i'll use the ogx kakui oil shampoo instead, but i could not find it at all at any stores. So um, but i will leave the link below in the description box, because i saw that amazon sells it and i've washed out the deep conditioner and now i'm going in with the carotene green tea reconstructor and i'm just bringing that all throughout my hair. You don't have to spray too much of this. Now i'm going in with the motions foam wrap - and this is just to give my hair a little bit of body um and just giving it a few pumps and just spreading that throughout my hair as well and for my heat protectant, i'm going in with the Veda, smooth infusion style, prep and use just a few pumps. You don't want to overdo it with this at all, because it's going to just leave your hair, very sticky and just just blah. I actually feel like i use too much for this, so usually you can use like a pump or two, and that should be enough. So i'm just going to go ahead and section my hair while applying this product and just rub it through the palms of your hand, rub it in your hair and then i use a rat tail comb just to fully distribute the product throughout my hair and from There i'm just going to twist it and i'm going to do that for four sections, and now i'm just going to put on my satin head scarf and i'm just going to let my hair air dry overnight and the next morning. My hair was about 90 dry and i went in with my blow dryer with the comb attachment to give my hair a blowout. I'M just going to continue doing this to stretch out my hair and until it's completely dry - and this is not the paddle brush that i usually use. But i went ahead with this brush to stretch out my hair even more, and i still have the nozzle. The comb nozzle attachment to my blow dryer, but this just helps to um to stretch out the hair a little bit more and now i'm all done and i'm ready to flat iron. So initially i was giving myself a side part, but by the end of the style i decided to go with the middle part, but y'all see that a little bit later so yeah, i'm just sectioning my hair again, so i can begin flat ironing and make it Easier and i'm going to use two separate flat irons, so i'm going to use a one inch and a half inch. You can totally only use one flat iron, but i like to use that the one inch, because it grabs a lot of hair and it cuts. My time process in in half of having the flat on my hair - and i like that half inch because it gives a smooth finish and it catches the hair all the way to the root. And i really like how it makes the roots very, very smooth. So, alternating between the two flat irons, also, the one inch gives your hair a little bit more body and the half inch gives it more of um like a flat look, doesn't give it much body, but it will give you a very bone straight. Look at the end of your flat iron, so it's like i'm meeting in the middle i'm, giving my hair somewhat of a little bit of body and a little bit of a very bone straight finished, look of my flat iron, so you're just going to see me Alternating the two and i'm using my rat tail comb to make sure i catch all the hair and make sure i won't have any knots or tangles in it also by using the rat tail comb to follow with the flat iron. You are lessening the amounts of times that you are having to do passes with your flat iron, because you know us naturals. We don't want to disturb our curl pattern after fluttering our hair, so we don't want to go over and over and over again for the most part, i am doing two passes with the flat iron. So i'm doing one pass with that one inch and another pass with the half inch it may have been. Maybe two areas of my hair did. I maybe have done three passes and i won't go over three passes at all so boom and i've recently trimmed my hair, so i'm just going to lightly kind of brush the ends on my hair right now, because i just trim my hair like a month ago And also, i know my hair is not super even and i have it like that kind of on purpose, and i i don't plan on even it out at the ends until my hair gets like another two inches so right now, i'm kind of just faking it Until i make it because i do not want to cut my hair to even it out, especially just for a flat iron, because i know i'm going to go back to my curls very soon - and i love how the shape of my curls are. So i don't want to disturb my um the shape of my curls at all, just for a week of a flat iron. So if your hair is not super perfect, but you like the way your curls look, i mean just kind of brush the ends like i'm doing. If you have to - or you know kind of maybe do like an up and down if you need to, but i am not, i refuse to um even out my hair just for a week of a flat iron, so yep it's gon na have to fake it. So we make it over here, do all right y'all, so i am done with my flat iron and you can see that i have my hair tucked behind my ears to kind of fake it, like i said, bake until we make it and hide those imperfections. But i love it overall. I left my hair like this for a week and again look i'm kind of showing y'all that if i cut my hair right there it would be about, but i'm not about to cut it um just to even it out so nope we're just going to keep It like that, and i love it and what do y'all think my hair is super straight and it lasted again for a week. I probably could have left it longer, but i missed my curls, but thank y'all for watching and make sure you subscribe to my channel. If you haven't already give this video a thumbs up i'll see y'all the next one, bye

Denise Denise: That was so satisfying to watch. That short bob is so so cute! We literally have the same hair! I haven't straightened my hair since 2014 and sometimes I'm curious to see what it'll look like...but I'm too lazy haha
