Hi guys in today's video I'm going to show you how I style my short hair. Now, I'm not a professional by any means, but this is just what I have found that works for me. I normally would use this chi flat iron with titanium, rounded plates, but unfortunately it's broken, so I'm going to be using this 1 inch mini Qi flat iron with ceramic rounded plates. First, I started off by sectioning my hair on my lower lash line, be sure to wash through the whole video to make sure that you're picking up on all of my tips and tricks that I share with you guys until the very end, then taking a hair Tie will pull all the rest of the hair up and out of the way, since the underneath layer of my hair is so short, I'm going to start off by straightening that layer first, this is going to help give the illusion that our hair is longer and Help with that messy look that we're going for so next I'll take down another section of my hair, starting at my temples. So I'm just pulling some of that hair down so that we have enough of it to work with and again just using a hair tie and getting the rest of the out of the way. Before I begin curling, I just like to brush all the knots and tangles out of my hair you're gon na start off by working with about an inch section of hair or the width of your thumb. First start off by straining about an inch and a half of the hair from the bottom, since I'm right handed, I start with my left side, but my right hand holds the flat iron on a downward diagonal, while my left hand helps guide the flat iron one. Full turn away from my face: sliding it down the hair and leaving about an inch of that straightened piece out from the bottom. Then I release the curl and let it fall comb through it, and you should have something like this: a small curl, with a two inch section from the bottom being straight after that's done, I pick up another inch section and repeat the process all over again. It'S really important that you make sure that each section has that straight piece at the bottom that you're not holding the flat iron too tightly and that you're curling away from your face. I hold a flat iron on each section of hair about 10 seconds or until I think that it's ready in order to get the back of my head, I just take a section and pull it to the front so that I can kind of see. What'S going on in the back, we're going for a messy look, so even if the curls aren't perfect, that's okay, because that's what we're trying to achieve once I'm done with one side I'll, take my flat iron and go over the straight ends once again. Moving to my right side, I'm still holding the flat iron like a TV remote with my right hand, guiding with my left, but at an upwards diagonal, and my thumb is pointing up to the ceiling again, giving it one full turn away from my face. Gliding it down the hair and leaving an inch out from the bottom, and I continue to do this for the rest of the hair on the right side again, taking my flatter, I'm just going over. Those straightened ends before bringing down the next layer, I'm just taking my hands and brushing through the curls, giving us that messy beachy wavy look. I start the second to last section right above my temples and bringing down some of that hair, we're repeating the same process. I explained in the beginning for the left and the right side from here on out, but moving closer to the root with each layer and above the start of the curl from the previous layer. As you can see, I started pretty close to the root on this layer, and this is just gon na help, give us some added volume and so that our curls aren't meshing together. So now that that layer is done, I'm just running my fingers through the curls. Again and giving it a good shake to break up all the curls for my bangs, I take a one-inch section and glide down the hair, while turning the flat iron away from my face, but only slightly turning it and for my bang pieces. I want to divide it section from the middle of my nose to the tail of my brow again repeating the steps we did on each side, but starting at the very top of the root for the first piece on my right side. I'M starting with an inch section and I'm repeating the same steps as I did for my bangs and then curling as normal at the root. For the rest. I touch up any pieces comb through it and give it another shake to separate the curls yet again, to give you even more messiness and volume, I'm hitting it with my dove dry, shampoo and rubbing that in I'll be sure to leave where to find the products In this video in the description, lastly, I'll spray and twist the ends with my big sexy, hair dry wax spray to give it hold and texture. And that's the final look on how I style my mom cut and short hair. Pretty simple, quick and messy thanks very much for watching, as always, don't forget to hit the subscribe button ring the bell icon, give this video a thumbs up and share with a friend, bye,

dainty and dapper: What is your go-to summer hairstyle? ☀️‍♀️

DandV's Family: I have tried curling my hair before with a straightener and have not been very successful with it. I don't know if my hair is too long or my hair just doesn't hold curl very well. But, after watching this tutorial I want to try it again. Because, your hair ended up looking so adorable at the end! Thank you so much for sharing at this tutorial.

OurMouseHouse: This is just the perfect summer look Thanks for such a great tutorial!

The Millennial Parent: Love this! I just got my hair cut short and outside of straightening it, didn't really have any ideas on how to style it. I love this! Thank you

Alicia Zuniga: Super cute Hair Style! I love it! I like your cute hand motions of which way to turn the iron <3 I always mess up with my flat iron trying to make curls! Very helpful.

The Fife Life: I absolutely love chi straighteners! Hands down the best!! absolutely love this hairstyle! I have short hair (and usually wear extensions because I never know I can make short hair look cute)...totally going to try this!

Orpha Beatrice: this is seriously my dream hairstyle. Sectioning makes a huge difference!

Lollipop Couture: Such a fun style, I have never tried curling my hair with my straightener such a clever idea.

Haus von Floof: So cute! I can never really get my hair to do this, always ends up being more curly :-D

The Platt Brats: Do you use a heat protectant? How do you determine when its ready to release? Is it necessary to go over the straight ends again? How does this help with the overall style? Turned out nicely. I see how the bottom curls add volume

LNV Boyko Family: Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

Day to day with the Sterlings: You looked lovely I wish I have the guts to cut my hair short.

Simply DIY Home: Your hair looks so good!! I suck at curling lol! I also have a chi straightener its lasted for 10 years!

Kara Oakley: First, you're super pretty!! I totally want to try this because I don't really have any "hairstyles" besides wearing my hair straight or in a bun! I might need to get a better flat iron cause mine is a cheap one ! Great video

Beatriz Garcia: Okay, I'm gonna have to play this again when I try to do my hair. I seriously feel like I already do this and doesn't look anywhere close to that ‍♀️‍♀️ Maybe I do to many loops around the straightener and I have super slick straight hair that by the time I hit the door they vanish ‍♀️

Looks By Naheemah: such a cute hair style girl!

LifeWithSusanNelson: Is that a bob cut? I’ve been wanting one forever but I’m too scared to cut my hair that short. I feel like I’m in middle school again spending hours watching hair tutorials haha I’m living for this style, it’s gorgeous. I have natural curly hair so it never does well using a flat iron to curl

LifeWithSusanNelson: The final look is perf btw

Three Little Trees: Thanks for this! I just chopped off my hair and have no idea how to make it look cute.

livinglifelarson: You make me wish j haddnt just cut off all my hair so cute!

Living with the Estrada’s: Hi love showing support from fb group! I don’t have short hair but I enjoyed this as I’m thinking about cutting my hair! Hope we can support each other ♥️
