Hi, I'm Julia and I'm a hairstylist in Los Angeles, California, and I'm here to show you today how to do a celebrity hairstyle. So we are gon na. Do a celebrity sort of updo, something that you see on the red carpet a lot and something that's really simple and quick that you can do at home. So I started with my model Jenna I prepped her already. I did some loose curls, just basically wrapped hair around the curling iron, something that you can get through pretty fast. What I'm gon na do is I'm going to part her hair with a little teasing brush, just basically where I would put a headband, because I'm gon na do some teasing choosing, as I was a good base to doing an updo cuz. It'S gon na give you a little bit of base in the hair to stick pins into, and I'm gon na start right here at the crown, take a section spray, a little bit of this dust product that gives it a little bit of hold. When I choose it, and I'm just gon na tease it with a teasing brush depending on the texture of your hair, that may define how much you're going to need to tease. If you have a little bit finer hair, just like Jenna, does you're probably gon na want to tease a little bit more to give it a little more volume now go ahead and smooth all the hair down again, not too hard, but just enough. So you still see some lifts, so you can really see a lot of the lift that we've achieved right now now you're going to start creating the updo, I'm gon na go ahead and part again loosely where I had parted before just set that had headband spot Cuz, it's always easier to start with a little bit less hair and I'm just gon na do a side updo whichever side your hair parts on this is where I like to go. This is better if you have like a deep side, part or just a side. Part at all, as opposed to a middle part, so I'm gon na grab her hair over here and I'm basically you're gon na. Do a light twist push it over here and attach with a pin, I'm gon na push the pin up into the hair and then to make sure that it's locked in I'm gon na take another pin and I'm going to go perpendicular into that. First pin to make sure it locks in there. As you can see, I've got a little bit of loose hair here, and I also still have these two pieces kind of coming right here. So then you just want to kind of incorporate this into the style. You can do this, however, you want, you can take pieces on the side and maybe do some twist backs. You can see I'm sort of twisting it over and just sort of lightly pinning it in there. And then you have this front piece right here, which again sort of depends on how you want to style it I like to do a little twist over here and sort of just incorporate it into the style. Once again, my name is Julia, and this is a great celebrity style that you can do at home.
