Hi loves welcome back to my channel issue, girly of idly and we're going to start the new year off right by leaving five natural hair trends in 2017. In regards to natural hair, there has been quite a bit of foolery, but being that is a new here. We'Re gon na start the e off right about the foolishness first, natural hair trend that we will be leaving behind is home, hair coloring. I understand that everybody wants to fall on a budget, understand that there are millions of YouTube videos and tutorials out there. That show you how to quote-unquote properly color your hair, listen sis. This is usually like one of the number one causes of breakage and unless you're some type of profession or you went through some type of professional training, it is not recommended that you do any home hair coloring unless it's like black cuz you're, not lifting your hair, But anything that involves bleach, you should be doing it at home, cuz and I'll. Honestly, we really really do not know what we're doing and your hair ends up being dry and brittle. Here'S the thing with home, hair coloring the things that we buy: over-the-counter at the drugstore at the beauty supply wherever, unless it's some type of professional stylist store. It'S really not that great of a quality which means that when you put it on your hair, it's not going to be as healthy and, let's just say, if you just don't quite get it right, you are risking breaking and damaging all of your hair, and it's Just not worth it pay a professional, a colorist, a hair stylist that has been licensed to do this and go get your hair colored, stop doing this home hair coloring we're gon na move forward in 2018, and just be better. If you knew better, you do better right, God will stop. This foolishness no address. Second natural hair trend that we need to leave in 2017 is home. Trims especially does think your ears accuse me when people are like I just in my hands. What does that even mean like you just was like snip, snip, snip, say: okay, it looks good, no sis, I see so many people that do these trims at home. Their hair is uneven. They'Re, not even cutting the right amount of hair off. Stop it just stop. Leave it alone, it does not it's just not as beneficial. Let someone else do your trims, where they can actually see your hair. Imagine the imagine trimming your handle back, look at how hard that is to get to that. Why are we doing this? Why are the hair at the bottom at the nape of the neck? That'S a little bit shorter, but there's probably still a little damage, because it's rubbing up against clothes and pillows sheets and blankets, whatever scarves coats? Are you trying to get back there? And then you wonder why your fro is shaped properly and it's uneven. It'S because you keep doing these home trims and you can't even see the back of your head you're, trying to use a mirror and a front end a mirror in the back to get it. Just leave it alone, you know just just stop it leave it in 2017, where it belongs in the past. Okay, we're not in dinosaur ages, we're gon na move forward and be more professional and proactive about our hair, which includes stopping trimming your hair at home. Okay, the third and natural hair train that we are going to leave in 2017 is okra. Yes, okra. If you have not seen these videos going around YouTube, people are bawling, okra, straining the little jail slimy texture and they're, putting it on their hair they're using it. As a jail they're using it as a leave-in conditioner, a deep conditioner, we don't stop this first of all. Okra does not smell good. Second of all, almost every single one of these videos that I have seen with okra. It has literally done just about nothing for the hair. You ain't got no curl definition. You ain't got no extraordinary whole, you don't have this super shine or moisture. Why are you using this? What'S the point? Whatever happened to flexi, if you wanna, you know kind of DIY your natural hair products, whatever happened to Fleck, sees why we can't just go back in today. That seems to work out pretty well marshmallow root. I would just do that / like okra for real. Then it's already, I see any just dripping down people face and the side they Nick come on down it's a new year. We'Re gon na have to do better. The 4th natural hair trend that we are going to leave in 2017 is all of these non-traditional. Hair growth methods, I've already talked about people using Monistat, yes, amount of stats on their hair to improve or speed up the growth we're not gon na get into there, because we already noticed a no. You should have left that in 2015. 16. 14. 13. All of that, but on top of that you know, people are using birth control pills how about biotin, that that seems to work pretty pretty well. How about that all this extra stuff that you know for effect is not supposed to be used for this purpose. Let'S not use it for that purpose. The purpose of birth control pills, the purpose of that is not and also grow, your hair. So we need to quit mm-hmm you're wondering why you getting rashes in weird places, your skin breaking how you got pimples and stuff. It'S probably because you use this stuff cheering. I know business use it for the wrong thing. Let it go, leave it back there right back. There cut in the in the past and the fifth and final natural hair trend that we are leaving in 2017. Is these relaxed edges or this relaxed leave up? I don't know who started this nonsense, but we're going to stop it right now, because, realistically, just let's just stop for a second. If you relax your leave out, are you in lecture edges? You might as well just relax your whole hair because, what's going to happen, is whatever portion is relaxed? It'S not going to curl back up again. So if you ever decide that you want to wear your hair out again, you don't have all straight edges or this middle part just straight and everything else gon na be crazy. So what you gon na do, what the hell you gon na, run, what you gon na roll it. If you twist it it's not gon na, come out like the rest of it. What are you gon na do and then, as he grows out, it's still gon na be curly kinky whatever at the top, and you have all these straight unions. What'S the point of it, wait a lace for it or do a four lace. So you ain't even got to worry about it. You can party whatever do what you want to do and your hair could just flourish underneath, but I don't know who came up with that bright idea, because that idea it just it's pointless and it makes absolutely no sense. Those are my five natural hair trends that we are for effects going to leave in 2017. If you have any other natural hair trends that you feel like, we just need to stop doing all together. Please leave them in the comments below I wanted to give a huge thanks to natural hair. Does care for sponsoring this video and partnering with me? TheLeeyvonne: I love your videos.... I think that one thing that needs to die with 2017 is people dictating what a person can and cannot do to the hair that belongs to them... Be free and do you is my motto... Rather a person wants to dye. Relax.. Dust or whatever they want to do... Be free enough in yourself to do you. Only that person has to deal with the results right...

Beautifully Bronzed Black Girl: I trim my own hair at home and I love it ❤️ so I’m taking into 2018 with me

Tiaura Nala: I personally like to cut and dye my hair on my own. It has worked out well for me, better than going to any Dominicans or Natural Hair Salon. I've been doing my hair on my own ever since I went natural and it has helped me learn more about my hair, it's cheaper, plus I love the outcomes wayyy better. It isn't for everyone though... some people can't do they're own hair or prefer a professional. I agree with some of these things though, but I've never tried Okra on the hair.

Shan: Putting your hair in a twistout & clicking the ends of them works especially if you wear your in a natural stage most of the time..professional trim if you wear it straight I agree.

IAmEssence: Yes I would like to add to the list 6) Leave extreme baby hairs with a puff in 2017 7) stink hair i mean that is flaking and just stank but for the sake of stretching your hair you don’t wash it leave that in 2017 8) All of these hair vitamins suga bear, hair finity, mane choice etc that you know did not work and your hair is still the same length its been since 2001 please stop it! 9) Hair typing ladies all natural hair is beautiful but you argue over hair types is silly just enjoy the video take what you can and move on in 2018 and lastly 10) natural hair growth challenge when your ends are struggling for life and dead but you hold on to them because it provides 0.0002% of length to your hair! Girl let it go and start a healthy hair journey!!

jewels robinson: agree with every trend with the exception one trimming your hair, there's nothing wrong with that, think about it if you have a tapered cut the hair is uneven, if you shave the side or back it's uneven, asymmetrical cuts uneven , so there you go! yea for home trims! !♥

rachelmm05: Something else to ditch in the non natural hair product category is 1.pouring coke-cola soda on your hair for growth and 2. using Vicks Vapor rub on the scalp for growth. To drink the soda is bad enough but to pour it on your hair you asking for your pH balance and moisture retention to get all jacked up. And Vicks vapor rub ...its a decongestant people smh

T Michelle: YouTubers lying about their hair growth rate should also be left in the past. Some of them lie and say that their hair grows 1/2 per month, but grow 8in of hair in a year and have the nerve to then promote hair vitamins. Girl bye

Vicky Antwi: I trim my hair home and is perfect, im self taught and you can trim the back.

MrsLadeQ: Coloring!!! Sis stop it...lol. That is the truth. I didn't color my hair forever because everybody kept saying it will fall out....no ma'am. I was colored by a professional and it is an investment and I continue to have healthy colored (blond) hair.

Chimdi Ihezie: I'm trying to focus but your skin is popping against that pink background

Deidre Samuels: I love these kinds of videos, spill that tea on useless natural hair trends.

Jazmin Blackwell: These videos are so extra. Do you man, I'm not worried about what anyone else is doing with their hair.

Stacey M: The trimming and at home coloring I’m guilty of doing but I’ve learned over the last year to see a professional for those

Erica Jones: in 2017 i did my trims myself and it really was a bad idea, my hair is still very long and healthy but it would have prob been longer if i just let someone professionally do it. i got a proper trim in November and my hair looks so good!

itsniquenique45: Yeah we shoulda left relaxed leave outs in 2007

Melissa’s Home and Lifestyle: Your makeup and hair are GORGEOUS ❤️❤️

Khristian Simone: I LEARNED LESSON 2 THE HARD WAY . I WILL NOT CUT MY OWN HAIR. I WILL NOT CUT MY OWN HAIR

Kennedy King: Just because you can’t trim your hair or color it well on your own doesn’t mean some other poeple can’t..

m a y a n: I loveeee how you look in this video. So beautiful & inspiring

Rubyred9057: FULL GROWN women (any woman over the age of 18) creating baby hairs WITH gel or an edge control yet want the respect of other adults. If you have to gel it, it's NOT baby hairs...those hairs are called edges. Leave the baby hairs to the infants, toddlers, and kindergartners! Please.

Diane Scott: Thanks girl, you are so right. I've never heard of okra

BRKLYN 29: I think women relax their edges to rock straighter looks with weaves, wigs and ponytails. I can understand it because people want a different look every once in awhile. I love your hair by the way! Then people complain and say, "how you going to rock a straight look with nappy edges lol". So I say do you ladies.

naturallyme: Yessss, like a Youtube, who went to Creme of Nature to get a blonde, really, really, blonde, and everyone is watching to see if its gonna break, so far so good. She haven't had any breakage, damage even though it looks brass, I agree, let a professional do it.

Janette Parker: I had a professional do my big chop and dye it in the same day because I don’t trust myself

Stacey-Ann Gray: Girl I went to an upscale professional colorist paid alot of money and still end up with a head of damaged hair. I did a better job home

T Michelle: Okra!!!? Birth control pills??! I've never heard of this, but want to add that ppl should leave the Vicks Vapor as a growth aid in the past lol. I have an obsession with dusting my ends and my stylist and I laugh about it when I go to her every season. She makes sure my hair is nice and even. I love these videos from you!

Joy: That EYESHADOW but the okra thing surprised me

lifeisablessing: OKRA?!?!? This is the first time I'm hearing about this one.

Zenon Bar: Looooove it!!! Speak the truth girl lol

NaturallyNatasha: They done made you mad!! Lol Others gave ideas on what to leave behind, but l just know 2018 is going to have its own mess smh.

Lady DM Milner Edwards: Girl u have me cracking up!!! Not rashes in weird places In done

Joyce: I wish folks would leave the BABY puff/pancake in 2017!!!!

Tabitha Howard: Oh and I love your hair color! I'm totally jealous lol

Miko Dorsey: On time with these happy new year!

shantrinas: Oh yikes I home hair color lmao. Its purple right now but ive been like every other color on the spectrum lol.

Naturally _ Me777: All these things people talk about leaving behind but ,for whatever reason ; everybody is leaving the edges out. Really ? That’s the main thing that needs to be left behind.

Magic Power: You can't trust everyone with scissors .

JOYCE DELIFUS: Thank god I look at good people who has not done these stupid things. Plus I don’t follow everything someone’s puts in front of me.

Dannie H.: The vapor rub needs to be escorted out da front door!!

Zee O.: As soon as you mentioned okra, I had to let your video run, and look up okra for hair!!!!! Like, WHAT????????

n9jaroxx: Okra?! I thought you said Oprah!! That was too funny but true! Love the video

nahoga: You. Are. FLAWLESS! #Period. #Drops

Jaye Mc.: I love it

Cyrious: All pros are NOT good... but let’s put things in perspective some people don’t have the cash to do all these things or get “sponsored” and some untrained hands are good at what they do. I’m kind of partial to these what not to do what to leave behind what is on trend videos ... let’s just say what works for you DO what doesn’t DON’T. It kinda comes off sounding crass to tell people what is on trend...

Co-Kema Hines: Tell the truth...lol! I love it!

ASHTRAY BITCH!!!: Ok, I'm gonna need a makeup tutorial really soon

Ali B: LEAVE EM IN THE PAST!!

Destini Jackson: Thumbs down to the okra! People are crazy!

Wendy McIntosh: Ur hair is bomb

OKAYSOYAR: Makeup tutorial pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee

thisnaturalgirlisloc'd: Yes!!! #ThatsAWord #ThatPart

bri Nichols: I agree with you

briana robinson: Lol this was good. That monistat is a no go

morena101: I'm sick of the baby hairs!

CurlyGirlLife: Nothing but the truth! Lolol

Tabitha Howard: okra??!! is this for real? that's so nasty

Latesha Mcmillan: Leave it!!!

klprater43:

Chocolate Capricorn: Relaxed leave out is not new.

Loretta Holmes: I've seen videos where people use vicks vapor rub!!?? Come really??

Naturally Dunn: I love okra, onions and tomatoes mmmmm

Ali B: Heyyyyy!! First comment

Southernpinup: I agree leave the at home coloring to the professionals this is coming from a licensed hairstylist

Angelica G: Lol!! Okra

CHasanne Barnes: Okra? Monostat?

Shy O: I am tooooo weak. OMG relaxed edges, okra, birth control who were you watching ???????????????????????????????????????

Marvelous Marva: Oka

Jennie Smythe: I'm sorry but this video just came across as bad attitude.. and you just sound pretty bitter.. different ppl do different things on their hair.. before there was youtube our parents grew our hair just fine. before biotin pills, before hair pills etc. before salons our parents cut our hair just fine, not to mention before their were salons black ppl did their hair at home right in the kitchen. All hair products started in someones kitchen at home, so to tell one not to do there hair at home to me seems ridiculous.. Also there are many different cultures around the world who use different plants on their hair and it works great so to tell one not to use okra or whatever else seems outrageous. If you don't want to thats fine. Lastly, how can you tell ppl not to relax there edges, when you yourself dyed your hair and it seems damaged and dry.  I mean to each their own. In this video you came across as a "natural hair nazi" which is a saying I hate to use.
