Hey guys welcome back to my channel today, i'm gon na be showing you how to do your own fulani braids on yourself. Definitely slate. This look as you can see, i'm looking like a baddie. So let's get right into this. Video first thing: you're going to need is some shining jam, you'll need the setting, mousse and, of course, the edge control. Then you got to get the edge comb. The hair clips and i like to use the precision comb all right. Now i'm using color 613 today mixing it with color 27 and then i'm gon na go ahead and mix that with color 30., so i'm gon na start off by parting, the hair. This is always important because it's like setting the foundation when i do these parts. I have to park behind the ear, because this is where my stitch braiding or whatever you want to call it cornrows. This is how it's going to go in the front, so i need to braid it all the way back past my ear and the reason why i like to do that. Um is because, when you braid on your own hair a lot of times, you tend to not get the parts very straight in the back. If i braid the stitch braids further back, it's actually going to cover up any mistakes that i had so at the end of this video y'all see exactly what i mean, but basically it's gon na look like you know. I went to the salon and got it done perfect. Okay, see it's not the best, but it'll do now. I'M gon na go ahead and start by parting, my hair in the back. I know my hair look a little crunchy in the back, but don't be talking about my kitchen y'all. I did put some leave-in conditioner before i blew my hair out, so yeah make sure y'all do that, so y'all won't be working on dry, unmoisturized hair, but my hair looks so i'm moisturized right there. I don't know. Maybe i need to get my slit is good or something it's been a while y'all, but anyway, i'm going to go ahead and section my hair off and put some gel. I forgot to buy the beauty, supply store, little silver, clamps or clips make sure you guys get those because you see i'm using the black clamp. But if i had those silver clips it would make it 10 times better. But since i don't have it because i'm used to doing my hair, i don't need them, but if you're a beginner you definitely should get those silver clamps. I'M gon na put it on the side of this video, so y'all know what i'm talking about but buy those and section your hair off and clamp it out the way. So that way, any little fly away pieces of hair. That'S trying to get in your braid while you're braiding. It won't happen that way. You can keep it as neat as possible. That is the key to doing your own hair and making it look really good. Is you have to be neat, and i also like to clean up the hair as i go, because i get real frustrated? If i got here all over the place, it's just you know, i don't know it just don't work right with me. I'M going to be doing knotless braids in the back of my hair and and to start off knotless braids. You have to braid your natural hair like once or twice before you start adding in the fake hair. So i'm adding in the fake pieces of hair now and as i go down, i am applying some gel to the end of my hair so that way it can bend into the fake hair. Now you will see me grab a four piece of hair right there, because when your natural hair starts to run out, you want to add a fourth piece of hair. That way, your hair, your braid, won't be bulky at the top and then start to thin out as you go. You want to even braid going all the way down so just add the extra piece of hair to make it more fuller. Just to give you guys a little bit of a recap on what i just did for the other braids, i sectioned it off in rows, and now i'm sectioning each part of where i want my braids to be. It does not have to be perfect. All these braids will be covered up in the end for this particular style, and since i don't have the small silver clamps, i'm going to just move these pieces of hair out the way to make it easier for me to braid and that way fly away. Pieces of hair won't get into my braid. We can start braiding again once everything is parted all right, so i braided everything in the back and now it's time to start in the front of the hair, we're going to make sure these parts are as clean as possible, because these are the parts that you Will see and then you're just going to add some gel on both sides comb it down, and i like to take out my edges in this part, so once you prep everything you're going to start braiding your hair, but to get that natural. Look i like to braid a good two or three braids of my natural hair before i start adding the feet in here and when you add in the feed in here, you want to make sure it's like super thin, because you're gon na add about five to Ten pieces of those strings and eventually along the way, it will make your hair too bulky if you have them too thick, so you want a natural clean look. So this is the part where y'all supposed to slay them baby hairs. But as you can see, i ain't really got baby hairs like that. I got adult hairs and i'm sure not about to make no adult hairs. Look like baby hairs. So if you guys do that, it's up to you whatever you want to do, but i just know it doesn't work for me because i get real irritated with extra hair. You know around my edges, i kind of just like to braid everything back and call it a day. Now. What i will do is once the hair starts to get old around my edges, i'll, you know, take some edge control and lay it down, but i'm not too big on creating my own baby hairs. It just don't work for me, but anyway we're going to continue to just braid, i'm braiding as tight as possible here because, like i said, i want to make sure the front of my hair is as neat and perfect as possible versus the back of my hair. It doesn't have to be the best all right. We are almost finished with the last braid um. Now it's time to use the setting mousse, don't mind me y'all. I was tired. I was just messing up everything at the end, but i like to put the soda mousse on and while the sediments is, you know, setting your hair, i make sure i also apply the set of mousse throughout the braids to give it more shine. I don't really like rubbing the setting mousse um at the top i like to let that just sit there and dissolve, and while i let it dissolve, i go ahead and start adding my beads and decoration throughout the hair. Oh lord, i told y'all see i'm tired. I was braiding my hair for about six to seven hours. That'S not that bad um, but i was just definitely over it at this point all right guys, so we are at the end, i'm just making sure everything is clean and neat i'll go ahead and show you guys the back. So you guys can see that all of my parts that i did are covered up and my braids are a little stiff right now um, so i'm going to go ahead and dip it in some hot water - and this is the finished. Look yes, it's given what it's supposed to give. I love this color on me. I believe you call it like a honey brown, blondish color, it's flexible. I definitely love doing the knotless braids in the back, because those box braids they will pull on your scalp, and it just takes me a few days before i can put it in a ponytail and i'm not a big fan of that, but, like y'all, can see Right there, i can put it up instantly in a ponytail um. I can even put it up in a bun. If i want to you, can just style it. However, you want the same day. You finish the style which i love the most all right, so that is how to do your own salani braids. I hope you guys, like the video, thank you so much for watching and don't forget to like comment subscribe to my channel and i'll see you soon come to me.
