Hi, I'm Stuart Phillips, and this is my mother FEMA, I'm going to be demonstrating how to get a short soft edging haircut as you can see, on Tina's hair, it's very broken and damaged so by losing between 10 and 12 inches will make the quality so much Better and you'll produce some really lovely shade for a face before I create the shape and Finas hair, I'm going to get rid of about six to seven inches to begin with, purposely leaving the hair quite longer the back to start with that way. At the end of the haircut, it gives me not hair to work with when I slice and chop into technique of chopping into the hair will create a lot more texture and movement and thinnest hair. I'M going to be cutting into Themis Fringe now and when you're. Creating different lengths and textures within Fringe yourself, hello, my name is Lara Clark and, as you can see, my models got an amazing hair cut. Now I really want to make this come alive. The thing I'm working with him is an extremely uneven face. As you can see, she's got a very light route. She'S got lighter areas. This is the result of a box color at home. Okay. So, although I have an extremely uneven base tone to work with, what I really want to do is work that, to my advantage, so by using a red or bright bright, vibrant red. What it's going to do is it's going to glow differently in different areas. So, actually we're almost recycling, her old color, I'm now applying my red at the roots, nice, deep, rich red, which will then fade into a much much brighter vibrant color. So this is the color that I'm going to use to finish and what it will do. Is it will marry all of the colors and the tones together and really make it glow in the right areas? For us hello, my name is Timothy Kayla, I'm going to be doing a subtle, plum, smoky on the model here followed by soft red. We work this through my fingertips and just massage your hair. You

Becca Pie-Eyes: This haircut and colour is pure genius! I wish I could afford to get styled by this dynamic duo! Maybe someday...

kaylewintress: LOVE the cut, colour and make-up! Great job team!

JMS 888: Stuart you've done it again and you make it look so easy. An amazing team x

Ana Raquel: This was absolutely fabulous! Thank you for sharing. I'm actually looking for a cut like this but I wants it a bit longer and the fringe to come up to mu nose...thing is I have a lot of hair and it's a bit thick. I don't mind volume as long as there is style if you know what I mean. Do you think it would work..?? Cheers ;)

jwatkins212: Love the way Stuart effortlessly cuts of the ponytail, then creates an awesome haircut

nathaniel cruz: What a transformation! Looks great!

LindaBabii98: I love the color! She looks amazing! :D

NB Services Nadja Brotschi: Very well done! I love her new style - as well great make-up job btw! only negative thing: the model does never smile... indeed she's very beautyful. :-)

Aashka S: Thanks Stuart!! Thanks for pointing towards the correct direction (it took me quite some reads to understand all what you said though!) :) I should seriously start using round brush and blow drying techniques! Saw some video tutorials just now and i think if i plan to get a cut it's best if i spend more time on my hair daily otherwise they might as well end up bushy and frizzy. I am all excited about getting a new haircut now.. will post a pic if it goes all well :)

TA L.: that is amazing! You made her look high fashion! Gorgeous makeover!

Jessica O'Rielly: Hi, I have a very similar hair cut to this style, its even bright red too :), however i can't seem to manage to style it the way you have done in this video. I love the messy yet fun look. Do you have any tips on styling your hair similar to the model in this video? thank you

Karo Fitz: i love her hair colour! i just recently stripped off my hair colour using Color Oops because my hair was uneven.. bright red at the roots and a lot darker at the ends. i want my hair colour exactly like hers! i saw how the deep red was applied to only the roots, but when the bright red was applied to the hair, was it applied on top of the deep red? also, how long did she keep the colour in the roots/rest of hair? thank you! please help!

Invaderd: Wow! Beautiful work! Love it! That's the kind of cut I want!!!! <3<3<3 Great work!!!

jeannierlewis26: Make-up's lovely, it actually compliments the hair colour really well!

victoria grant: Lara should do a video on how she's kept her hair so long and healthy! It doesn't look like she colors her hair (it looks so natural), but whatever she's doing, it looks gorgeous! As always, great to see a new video from you

Humildad EDDINGTON: JUST AMAZING. I WISH I WERE THERE TO HAVE THAT KIND OF HAIR CUT. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

oOoMissTammyoOo: I absolutely love it, amazing work, great looking model.. Very very sassy n fresh!

Kristie Hayes: the colour looks amazing! :D she really suits shorter hair! :)

tnsinclair2: Every time this team of true hair experts uploads another video, I can't wait to watch it!!!!!!

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, there are many versions of this style, meaning how far you go with the texturing and the length etc, as it depends on the shape of your face to the exact version that you have!!

RedLadyBug 91: i love her new hair! im getting my haircut soon, i want a full Bangs, with lots of layers!

Loretta Philips: the model Phina rocked it BIG time with her finished look!

haarminnaar TV: Another incredible makeover. This would also look great on my hairstyle blog... Can I?

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, pleased that you enjoyed this hair makeover! Hope your students enjoy it too!

Francesca H: This is beautiful :) I wonder if you could help me - I'm in the process of growing out my hair from having it all cut short due to a bleaching mishap (!) and I'm now stuck with what to do - it's a very short bob, around my jaw line but not really styled in any particular way. Also, I cut my own 'bettie bangs' (like bettie page) but I'm bored of them now and they are still quite short, so any advice would be appreciated!

aleah leigh woods: amazing such stunning work , the difference is simply breath taking xxx

Steviej148: Top haircut + Awesome colouring + Fab make up + gorgeous model = Mega magnificent makeover by seriously talented artistic team.

Karen: Only way I would ever cut my hair that short is if you did it for me, great job

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, there were 3 colours used and a pre lightener: Majirouge 6.66 mixed with 0.600 and 20% peroxide, 7.45 mixed with 0.400 and 20% peroxide and a pre lightener with 30%. These were placed in foils. Finally the 3rd colour used was a crazy colour called fire, this was used as a full tint at the end!

Bridget Potter: Wow, this is the best cut and colour transformation I have ever seen!

Alison Wolf: AMAZING transofrmation. Fun. This is what we live for!

Hluvsmusicluvshannah: I love how the hair cut makes her look sooooo much younger

Alexandra Kate: Hi Stuart; I love this cut and color so much, I've watched this video probably 15 times! If I emailed a photo of me to you, could you recommend a new cut for me, possibly this one? I have a slim oval face. I'm approaching my 25th year, and I need a big change from my long hair, and just gotta get the guts to do it. I've had short hair before, so don't know what's stopping me haha Thanks, Jenn.

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, this kind of re-style would normally take about an hour, due to the filming it took a little longer, around 90 minutes!

Ichi: Really thanks this helped me a lot! <3

tracyrsimmons: How long did this makeover take? It's really good!

belindawntr: Stuart how do you always manage to find such lovely models that's willing to have such a massive re-style?

ojosverdesPR: Im in love with your makeovers!!!

judybeachlover: Best team of hair experts in the UK! Love the filming!

Peter Thompson: Stunning new haircut - much more attractive than her old long style

VioletLaStrange1: Her hair turned out Amazing!!

Muffin: LOVE that new hairstyle !

Tia: that cut looks really nice on her face..great job!

Ale Martínez: Omg, it's an amazing colour! And she is beautiful!

naturallytee: Whoa! You guys really know what you're doing. GREAT JOB!

Aashka S: Wow, ultimate haircut makeover! I have a question. I have very long black thick hair. They have soft curls from middle to end but at the top they get quite coarse and frizzy. I have long hair since ages and want to get short to medium length hair. Was thinking of getting side bangs but was unsure as my hair are all frizzy at the top.. I have diamond shape face, i would be really happy if you could point me in the right direction!

Lana Feliz: You must keep these video's coming! Great job of the filming Lisamarie

Artasia Heath: Thank you very much!!! I think I'm going to do it!

Ouch! My back.: This hair style makeover is a Love at First Sight for me!

Rachel Killian: Amazing transformation wow! I'm jealous. I need something like that done A.S.A.P. lol ;)

Lauren Sharp: I would love to get a cut like this because I'm bored of having hair down to my waist that has to be tied up because its uncontrollable. The only thing is that my hair is pretty thick and wavy/curly. I'm not really sure how if it would work. I also have an oval face which I've heard makes it easier to try different styles. I'm really unsure here, HELP!

Stuart Phillips: If you fancy growing it more than 3 inches, first see how it looks, as I feel if it's too long it may tend to look a little flat, this is because from your photo your hair looks fine and if it's too long it may tend to just hang and look a bit lifeless! Stuart

Stuart Phillips: Hi Calota, of course - The brand was Loreal and the colours used were - Majirouge 6.66 mixed with 0.600 and 20% peroxide, 7.45 mixed with 0.400 and 20% peroxide and a pre lightener with 30%. These were placed in foils. The last colour used was a crazy colour called fire, this was used as a full tint at the end! I had to be quite technical to explain, so hope you understood OK! Stuart

mghh: absolutely stunning!

Kitten Paws: Omg it's gorgeous!

lisat3001: Just stumbled across this little gem of a hair video, It's the sort of video that gives youtube more class!

Marisol Rey: I love this hair style *^* I really want to cut my hair like that but I don't know what type of face shape I have :( Also my hair is very curly >.<

MAYRA OLVERA: Woow , I love it!♥

felicityfive1: Truly outstanding haircut and colour! Stuart how long did this haircut take to re-style?

Lisa LDNxo: i actually almost cried watching her hair get cut , i would never cut mine that short

Stuart Phillips: Hi Lauren, your correct an oval face shape would be perfect for this cut! The only time consuming part would be blowdrying your hair with a round brush, you don't need your hair to be dead straight, wavy also looks good! The blow-dry should last at least a few days! When your hairdresser has cut and blow-dried, they would then have to spend time going over the haircut, this is to make sure it's perfect after blowdrying your curls out! Stuart

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, pleased you liked the transformation! :)

Starlight: You are an AMAZING hairstylist!

cyndit434: Outstanding job Stuart, Lara and Tamantha

Stuart Phillips: The most important part of the video is finding models with a great bone structure and willing to have a dramatic change, which is not always that easy, that's why my videos are about 6-8 weeks apart!

Alyson Taylor: Amazing love the hair cut

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, pleased you enjoyed the video! You can create a version where your fringe and length of back is longer, although I will need to know the shape of your face and texture of hair, (wavy, curly or straight?) This is quite important! If you can reply me this information I will then help you! Stuart

Talimav00: Gorgeous!

Chantal Said: If I got a bad ass makeover, like this. I'd smile more :-)

Beeni: the red for the finish...what is it? she looks amazing!!

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, was great fun making!

Luminous Victoria: i love it ! would this haircut look good on square face ? ^^

A: At the end of the video all I could think was "I want that hair!" I just don't know who would be able to cut this style :/

Stuart Phillips: Thank you for your awesome comments, was great fun making!

Briah Rainbows: I love the colour it makes her eyes pop my sisters a natural redhead btw

Amanda Eldridge: Mr. Phillips, I have more or a heart-shaped face, would this work? Also, do you blow dry the hair mostly straight and the tussle the hair around with gel?

Stuart Phillips: The closest I can think of is a bob that has been layered a lot and each layer was cut into giving a very choppy feel! The fringe was cut into many different lengths. Once finished I cut into the hair even more making it very textured! Stuart

MohPK: Great job stuart :)

Dessyy: so beautiful!

Stuart Phillips: I used a round brush and blow dryer. I straightened the hair about 70%, the rest was left slightly wavy. It will suit a heart shape face, although I would leave the fringe slightly longer! Stuart

Stuart Phillips: Hi Artasia, after looking at your photos I feel that a pixie cut would suit your face shape and very importantly your features! Although you could do it in 2 stages, for the first look you could still have it cut around your ears but leaving it a couple of inches long on top and then have it chopped into giving it that funky feel! You could then use a wax massaging it in which would help give it that funky look! When your bored of that style, you could then go for the pixie cut! Stuart

Vikkee C: Great hair but I've never seen someone so unimpressed

Stuart Phillips: Hi Jessica, the reason I got lots of movement was because I cut into the layers making them a lot shorter. The less weight that you have at the top, back and sides will help when you come to style. I would use a mat wax and only use a tiny amount, around half of a pea! I would massage it into your hair really concentrating in getting it in to your root area, then with the remainder I would place on the ends. I would then use a tiny bit more on your fringe, pulling bits with your fingers Stuart

princess_faithfull: wonderful haircut and colour;)

Stuart Phillips: The brand was Loreal and the colours used were - Majirouge 6.66 mixed with 0.600 and 20% peroxide, 7.45 mixed with 0.400 and 20% peroxide and a pre lightener with 30%. These were placed in foils. The last colour used was a crazy colour called fire, this was used as a full tint at the end!

Mangan2504: Great haircut and colour! Would like to cut my hair too (well I think I need to, because it's really damaged from bleaching and stuff :-( )... But I'm afraid I will look like a boy with short hair.

Stuart Phillips: Haha, well I cut it shorter as she needed a re-style and I'm a very fast cutter, so I understand where your coming from but she absolutely loves her new style and now she gets more modelling jobs than ever! Stuart

Stuart Phillips: Hi Cristina, The brand was Loreal and the permanent colours used were placed in foils. The last colour used was a crazy colour called fire, although this was a semi and was used as a full tint at the end!

patrycoso: Wow, so nice !!!

Ursula Erich: I love it :3

Stuart Phillips: Hi Laura, thank you, I'm pleased that you liked the hair transformation. Regarding modelling for one of my hair videos, the best thing is to attach a photo of you to my professional facebook page, once on facebook if you type in Stuart Phillips and it will also come up with the address of the salon, which is 25 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden. My team and I can then hopefully arrange an appointment to see you in the salon. Look forward to receiving your photo, Stuart

Pinky Yei Yei: Wow stuart love what u did, i have like the same face shape of ur model and i want this haircut is so beautifull

Jess: Hi, I really like this hairstyle and I was wondering if it would look good on me. I have naturally thick curly hair but I straighten it every week, so I'm just wondering if this hairstyle would fit my hair texture?

theSilkRiver: I know I've already commented, but I was just wondering if I could do the same thing. Except, I'm not exactly looking to go shorter. I just need some advice on a better haircut I should go for and I've been thinking about dying my hair for awhile now. However, I'm not sure what other color I would look good with. I do want something different though and stands out.

Michelle Lacroix: Hi Stuart, Yes, that helps, never been told any of that before, it makes complete sense. I really do like the idea of funkier, what about my colour?

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, pleased you liked the cut!

Stuart Phillips: The hair was waved by taking 1 inch sections and blow-drying around a brush, the same hair was then wrapped into a barrel curl and fixed with a grip. The whole hair was repeated in the same way. Spray some hairspray and let cool down for 15 minutes. Take out all the grips and work you fingers through the hair making it more natural looking. Your hair needs to be at least 3 inches long! Check this video on my channel! demonstrates how to curl Hairstyles For Long Hair & Medium Length With Curls:

Blue Rose: Super cute hair!

Janne_: gorgeous!

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, pleased you like it :) You are right though, funny thing is the non professionals are too nervous too in front of camera and the professionals are trained not too! Stuart
