Hi everyone - I'm here today with a very very, very, very, very, very, very requested video and it is about my hair and a lot of you either have red hair or you are very into wanting to do the red hair thing and I'm going to tell you It is in a lot of maintenance. It is not a low maintenance, hair color if you do any kind of color other than probably like your standard brown black. It'S a lot of work. I blog hears a lot of work to to keep it from being brassy, but i feel like red hair is even more work than any other hair color because it does bleed and it does fade very very easily. But i want to show you some products that have really really helped, so I'm actually getting my hair done tomorrow and it has been six weeks tomorrow since I've got my hair, and so I decided this would probably the best time to show you what I use On my hair, and so you guys can see like how vibrant it still is after six weeks which most of you, if you've dyed your hair red after six weeks, it's like you're back to whatever color you were prior to dying at red and mine still is Quite red, obviously in the sunlight it's much brighter, and so I don't know what's going to translate on the camera, because the Sun is kind of in a weird place today and I feel like it's a little bit dark in this room so anyways. It is still very red, and it's all because of these products, so so first off I want to tell you the colors that I use in my hair. I go get it professionally done. My friend Mackenzie at Gracie & Co in Palace, ichiro close reading she's one who does my hair. So if you are in the Northern California region around reading policy, Jo the interesting cottonwood area, I highly recommend poignancy Mackenzie at Gracie & Co. I will leave the contact information down below for the salon. I highly recommend her she's, a dear friend of mine and she's, the only girl who touches my hair other than my extensions girl who Suzanne and she is amazing as well so for my hair. She uses Kendra, hair guy and it's three ounces of 6rr and one and a half ounces of 6vr. So it has a little bit of that. Violet violet tint to it. So that is the combination. Kendra three ounces of 6rr and one and a half ounce of 6br. I will also write that down below so I wash my hair every other day. If I could go longer, I really would, but I just have um my hair. Just can't do it. I just can't so I wash it every other day and yes, red still goes down the drain, but these products really help here's two of them. I have two other ones that I will leave down below as well. I just don't have them here with me right now, they're by the brand davon s, which, if you have extensions and work really great for extensions, I will leave the exact ones down below that I use, but these are the two that I find I get the Most bang for my buck and I feel like they work the best, the first, which is a trying to chew I've gone through, probably four or five bottles of this. This is the water colors crimson, splash shampoo. This has been a lifesaver, so so I'm going to forewarn you, your shower, will look like a murder scene. So what you do? Is you wash your hair with this? You leave it on for about five minutes, so it's going to deposit color back into your hair. It keeps my hair very, very vibrant. I was using this every single shower, but then I found that it was creating buildup on my scalp and my hair was getting greasy ER quicker, so I went from using this every shower to every other shower, so I will use a shampoo that is safe for Color-Treated, hair and in between so every other shower. I use this and also helps make this last longer. I think it's about 15 dollars for a bottle of this. I just buy like for every time so again, water, colors, crimson splash. It is very red if you have white shower curtains, I recommend getting rid of them and getting a plastic liner. My shower is: doesn't have it's like an enclosed shower, so it washes out very easily. I don't find that it stains if you are finding that your bathroom is getting seen by it used on dish soap and that really really helps clean it out. So this is what I use. It says it's for cool, dark reds with crimson and black cherry tones. It seriously is a game changer. If you up right here, you definitely need this in your life. Then I also use this in conjunction with that shampoo, and I actually found out about this from a subscriber and it's the evader madder root. Color conditioner. It enriches warm tones in dark and red shades of hair and again you leave it on for 5 minutes, so actually what I do so that I'm not sitting in the shower for 10 minutes with shampoo and or conditioner on my hair, I will take the shampoo And I run it, you know into my scalp: get it really good, might take the shampoo probably about 3/4 of the way down. So I'm not using a ton of this and I kind of take whatever's left and get it in the ends. But then I take the conditioner and I kind of go from here down with the conditioner, so this is kind of from the top up. This is from the bottom down, and I just let it all sit on my hair for 5 minutes and go about shaving. My legs, or you know, washing actually to wash my face at the end, but I shave my legs or just kind of like dance around in the shower. So that's why I do to not have to be in the shower for 10 minutes, because honestly, there's a lot of times I do not want to. Nor do I have the time to be in the shower for 10 minutes to just make my hair red. So I put this on and then I put this off over just from the weight from the try from here down where I normally stick conditioner anyways and it works really great at keeping the vibrancy in my hair. This conditioner made sugar really really soft. It smells like great evader products, and these are actually both in my empties because I'm out of them - and I need more of both of those - the shampoo is sulfate - free, salt, free and paraben free - and I don't know about this, but they are both amazing. So I really recommend checking those products out if you want red hair. The combination that I use I'll also mention that down below as far as diagur and the other shampoo and conditioner by daven s, I will leave down below as well. So that is how I do my red hair. I mean keep my hair bright and vibrant red. I don't know what it's going to look like until I go to edit this, but it's still very vibrant six weeks later, so I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I hope this was helpful kind of a one video to show you exactly what I do to maintain and keep my red hair, and I get so many questions about it. So hopefully this was helpful. Rebecca Jenkins: I've been red for so long, that it doesn't fade much. I've been red now for 2 years straight, but the first time I went red was 5 years ago. I also only wash my hair once a week, twice at most. It's been probably 18 weeks since its been dyed and other than the hideous regrowth it is still pretty vibrant.

brandie barger: I've been dying my hair various colors of red for over a year now and the upkeep is definitely a job in itself. I love Tressa Watercolors in Crimson Red and the Davines Alchemic Red Conditioner, they are my ride or die. Lol I dye my hair with combinations of Pravana Vivids (Red, Wild Orchid, and lately Violet). I only wash my hair once a week in cold water and I never have a problem with fading. I have my roots and base color done every 4-6 weeks. My hair is almost black naturally, so that's a must. I also get Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo and Conditioner. I've been mixing Pravana in with the conditioner as a back up when I'm out of Davines.

arenaskiez: I only dye the roots of my hair, and I dye it red. I have dark brown/black hair. My hair is also extremely long and the ends are faded BUT the red is still there after not dying anything other than my roots in 7 months. It actually gives this ombre look and people ask me how I dye my hair, I tell them I just don't lol only once. My natural hair color shows as well, but it's a nice blend of both colors of red/black. I don't know how it looks so good without maintaining it, but it works for me.

Priscilla Nieto: I use a color depositing hair masque from Paul Mitchell and I put it from roots to tips so all of my hair gets refreshed evenly. If I use a light layer at the roots I can avoid a greasy look.
Meghan Graham: I strictly use Pureology shampoo and conditioner on my colored hair. Their formulas have an anti-fade complex and they're great for color retention. They're also super concentrated so a little goes a long way!
Megan Jetter: Pureology moisturizing shampoo has been the best for my red hair, but it still fades. I know it's blonde in my photo-lol. I didn't feel like I saw a difference with the Watercolors. The shampoo was thick and slimy and it just made my hair feel really dry. Maybe I got bad ones? I dunno.

JinxedKaetzchen: Warercolors shampoo is amazing (I use both the Fire Red or Crimson Red) and then another amazing red conditioner is from John Master's Organics called Red Color Enhancing conditioner. Will have to check out the others you mentioned. My red stays in for about 8 weeks. I've also been trying the new Red shampoo from Joico and then I've been using the Pravana Red treatment right now (not sure how much of a fan I am of it because of buildup).

Kindy Holl: My brother is a hair stylist and we take argan rain shampoo it works really great. It is sulfate, silicone, alcohol, salt and dye free, special formulation with %100 organic argan oil, helps to prevent hair loss, and my hair silky, softer.
