*DISCLAIMER* Just so no one gets offended. I am not saying people with gray hair are ugly. However I personally feel ugly with gray hair. I mean, watch the 1st 10 seconds of this video....EEEEEK! I think a ton of people look gorgeous when they go gray. My mom is stunning and she is gray. Anywho, thought I better clarify that so no one gets their feelings hurt. That's never my intention. If you want to be gray, then be gray....do what makes you feel beautiful.

Yeah hi guys welcome back to graceful beauty. My name is sherry, and today I want to talk about coloring, your hair at home before we get started if you're not subscribed to my channel, but you would like to be, I hope, you'll consider clicking the subscribe button down below and if you want to get Notified each time I post a new video, make sure you tap that notification bell and if you do like this video, I hope you'll give it a thumbs up. Most of you that watch my channel know that I am completely grey or white, and so I have to color my hair pretty often normally. I actually just use this semi-permanent one that you give at the drugstore for, like eight bucks, buy Clairol if their natural instincts - and I use it - maybe about every three weeks in between I use spray on root concealers. I use like a mascara wand type root, concealer. Every so often I do go to the salon and then I'll have my hair professionally colored, but I have not actually been to the salon in like a year and the reason I don't like to go to the salon. That often is because they do an amazing job, and sometimes I might get highlights, but since my hair is pretty much all white within a few weeks, all of that beautiful work, they did is gone. So I really just use store-bought box, hair coloring and the reason I typically don't use the permanent hair coloring is that my hair is porous and I'll notice. The more I use this since I use a medium brown and it looks dark brown, but I use a medium brown color, the more I use it. I notice that all around here will get really really dark. Almost black - and you know you probably can still see a little bit of it like that now, but it's not as bad since I normally just use the semi-permanent one and that's the what the Clairol is. But I'm sure you guys have all seen this and I seen this on TV commercials and all over the internet. The hair coloring kit by Madison Reed actually been wanting to try this for a really long time, but I was just you know, honestly too lazy and too cheap, and I just thought I'll. Just stick with my. You know cheapo eight dollar, hair coloring that I get from the drugstore so lucky for me, Madison Reed, reached out and asked if I would be interested in trying out some of their products. So, of course, I was like absolutely I'll, try them out and they you know this. Video is not sponsored or anything like that. They didn't offer me money, they just all they did was they gave me this product for free and then they also sent me their brush on root touch-up. Now I actually was going to purchase this at Sephora, but then I remembered that I had one by. I think color well and it's just basically honestly, it's just like a dark brown eyeshadow. That'S really all it is, and you brush it on, but I'll be on. When you can't even see geesh. Let me rub some more of it on there there now you can see, but I'll be honest. I really don't like these brush on ones. I mean I'm going to keep this and use it. You know I might put it like in the car or something like that for those moments where you know you look in the mirror. You'Re like oh crap, I forgot to cover up my room. I will link down below the root concealers that I absolutely love that I use in between coloring and you know, take a look at the other video that I have linked below to actually show you how I cover up gray roots without hair coloring. So I just want to read to you really quickly on Madison Reid's website why they are so different and why I have been wanting to try them for so long. It says Madison Reed is transforming at-home hair color with ammonia, free hair dye that results in multi-dimensional color. That looks beautiful, healthy and natural, and this is what I think is so nice, it's free of ammonia, parabens resource and all PPD. I'M not sure what that is. Phalates and gluten - and it's leaping bunny certified. So it is a cruelty, free hair dye and it says, with a complete system of hair products designed to work together. Madison Reed, hair color is a professional hair coloring at home, and then they have satisfaction guaranteed or your money back on their website. If you go on there, there is a just a little quiz that you fill out so that you can figure out which exact color you want. You just fill out a series of questions and then, at the very end it tells you the hair coloring that they recommend for you. Looking on the internet. Here, it looks like the radiant hair coloring kit that they sent me. This is about twenty five dollars. It'S actually not bad at all, considering what it costs to get your hair colored at a salon, but this one by Clairol this one is really inexpensive. I think it's like eight bucks. Sometimes I can find it for seven dollars, but I don't just use one of these. I ask use two boxes and that's just to color all of my roots, but the thing that I did like about the Madison read. I was able to color everything. All of my roots and bring it down the ends, the last few minutes with just one kit. So you know two of these would be sixteen dollars and you know they are full of a lot of really nasty chemicals. It'S not cruelty. Free and one Madison read is twenty five dollars and it has better ingredients. So, let's take a look at what was inside this box. It comes in this nice little box here and when you open it up, you have everything that you would need to color your hair. It'S got your instructions, the conditioning, color activator, the radiant cream, color gloves. Oh, it comes with four gloves. That'S nice! It also comes with a cap, and then it also comes with these four packets. You have a color protecting shampoo, a conditioner, a cleansing, wipe which is nice because I usually get out a thick paper towel like a bounty paper towel, and I wet that and that's what I use to clean up any coloring that drips down. So this will come in handy and barrier cream, which I never use this. I just wipe up any coloring that gets on my skin, but when I go to the salon a lot of times, they put this cream on it's kind of like a Vaseline type stuff to prevent it from getting into your skin and staining it. So, let's take a look at what my hair looked like earlier today before I colored it. Look at this look how disgusting this is. This is just what it looks like when I need to color my hair. I mean it literally looks like I am going bald. This is all thinner here, anyways, but I wonder if, when my husband first saw me, he would have been like oh yeah, that's who I want to marry. I think this was a really a nice hair, coloring kit. I'Ve had a lot of extras that you normally would not get in a regular box color from the drugstore. As of now just looking you know in the mirror and in the viewfinder I do like it. I think you know. I think it did a really good job and the main thing that I really like is knowing that it doesn't have all of those nasty readings that my other hair coloring has. I hope you guys enjoyed today's video. If you did like this video, please don't forget to give it a thumbs up. That really helps me out and if you're not subscribed to my channel, but you would like to be, I hope, you'll consider subscribing by tapping the subscribe button down below. Chet Strawn: I love this video! Definitely great tip about semi permanent coloring. I’m going to try that because I too was using permanent and my ends were getting so dark!! I busted out laughing when you showed your gray and said “ I’m sure if my husband saw that he thought that’s the girl I want to marry” ( or something like that)

Helen Trantalis: Hi Sheri, I was wondering what colour did you receive from Madison Reed? And did you see a big difference since it's a permanent colour versus the clairol one that is semi permanent? In the past I found that with permanent colour I had to colour more often since my grays would show more than with semi permanent . Thank you!

Ranalynn’s Lifestyle in Hawaii: I color my own hair too. More affordable to do it yourself to me. Excellent job and love the color. Fabulous as always. Hugs

Clara Barrera beautyisageless55: I would love to see a follow up video letting us know how you liked it, how long before it faded, etc. YOUR hair looks beautiful, TYFS

Screwtape Voodoo: Have you ever gone to a dark or medium Blonde? I’m a couple years older than you, and naturally have medium brown hair. I’ve been blonde, and love that it really helps conceal the grey grow out. I can go longer between colorings with lighter hair, though recently I went back to brunette again just for a change (for the Fall/Winter). It is just a personal preference, I find that some women look beautiful with their silvery grey hair, and then there are others that have gone gray or are the process, who I think would look better, even younger, if they’d color the grey away.

Rosann Supino: Enjoy watching you. You're very down to earth. Appreciate this video in particular or any that deal with hair coloring. I get mine done at the salon because it's easier but it's just too expensive. I'm going to start doing it myself now. Thanks!

Mariane Kalis: I am with u on that one, cuz my dark hair turning gray at the root drives me crazy. I'm going to try this one out because I'm starting to turn to cruelty free things. Thanks for sharing!

Cinnamon Girl: I used to use Natural Instincts too. I had the same problem it always took really dark. My natural color is medium brown and I had to use light brown which would still almost come out dark brown until it faded a bit. Medium brown would look suuuper dark. I have been really curious about Madison Reed tho

Carla Cash Out Loud: Your hair is gorgeous. Nothing could make you ugly, not even a gray stripe. I would have never guessed you are gray. Thanks for the tip of the hat to at-home hair coloring. I, too, often find it to be just as good as the salon. Madison Reed is terrific. Great video, as always. - xx, Carla.

Debbie Nerys: I'm impressed that you can color your hair on your own. My hair is not really long but it's course and thick so I prefer to go to the salon, but they sure charge plenty!

Nikki Raven: I used to colour my hair at home all the time! Before I shaved it that is you look gorgeous today!

Gloria Lagroon: I tried going gray a couple of years ago but I just couldn't do it. It didn't look pretty like on other women. I'm a mature woman of age and I really wanted for it to work for me. I felt it washed me out. When I was young I was a red. Then in my teens turned light brown but after I had my first child it changed to a brown. As I aged and in my 40's when I started to color my hair I decided to go back to reds/ auburn. I'm a senior now, and still color my hair red. That works for me. But I go like up to 2 or 3 mons. Wear caps or a headband in the meantime. Lol! I'm subscribed to "eSalon", very pleased with their products and seems to last longer than your regular drugstore box. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week! :)

2 dimitropolis: You really helped

MissTickle East: There’s nothing ugly about grey hair.

Dorina Tudisco: Hi what color did you use? Thanks!

PD Dr. med. Mathias Zimmermann: Good morning, dear beauty-goddess! In my eyes grey hair is outstanding and highly attractive for women... your trailer looks phantastic, it fits you so well! . Kind regards from the autumnly cold city of Berlin, Germany. Yours, Mathias

missreia: (I know this isn't related to the video, but it's the only way I know how to contact you.) Hi Sheri, I think of you at times and hope you're doing well. Was wondering how you deal with days when you're feeling overwhelmingly down but have a lot to do. Xo -Reia BTW I think you look nice no matter what the color of your hair is.

KEEVVY: You look like an actor, but have you tried natural repigmentation, like blackstrap molasses
