Quick disclaimer, i'm a real hairdresser, but we're doing this in the bathroom. So i'm going to show you the easiest way with what you've got at your home. You need help mixing up your lightener or bleach. I have a video i'll put it up here. I'Ll also link it in the description box below step by step really easy on how to mix it. Up correctly, you need to find your part line if you're unsure use a middle part line, which is what i'm going to use today straight down the middle. If you always part to let's say the left side, you're going to caulk everything, i'm doing to the left, we're going to make a rectangular subsection here match it on the other side. Here you want to shave off this and a diagonal match that on the other side, diagonal, because we are going to put two little foils here to kind of brighten the face put this in a ponytail. We don't want to get confused, i'm using actual highlight wraps i'll link these below these are paper. These are easier for me to do on myself, but if all you have is foil, aluminum foil works, fine, just cut them into rectangles that look kind of similar to this you're in your bathroom, ladies, don't be hard on yourself. First thing: we're going to do is we're going to work on this subsection. I'M going to be matching my subsection to this line, i'm going to take a little sliver of hair. Just like that, and i'm going to leave this part out. You do not want to color that, and you do not want to color this ear part. You want this to be very, very thin. You should be able to read a newspaper through this very important. You want this to look natural, especially since you're only doing a little part, you don't want it to be a huge difference. You know what i mean also i'm taking very, very thin slices. You can absolutely weave this if you want to, i don't, because it takes a little bit more time and if you slice this thin enough, it actually appears like it's a fine weave. I'M going to take my paper or foil match it to the part line which is diagonal. Put it down now, you're, not supposed to overlap bleach you're going to see me overlap it because it's kind of hard to avoid it. Just ignore that i'm mainly focusing on the root area, so i'm going to put the lightener down drop it off, just like so horizontally. Now i'm going to take my brush up and down vertically and i'm going to make staggered lines, i'm going to lightly kiss it through the ends. If you have a little tail that hangs out, you can swipe it. I'M trying to avoid my ends so they're only getting a little kiss. Then we fold this just like that. That'S the only part we're gon na do on the side. Now we're gon na move on to the other side. Oh and i forgot to mention that my hair is extremely dirty, greasy um, mainly from this. I have like aquaphor on this, because this is my first session of laser tattoo removal and i'll make a video i make or i'm making a video on a review of that so stay tuned for that, but it works best if your hair is greasy, it's easier To work with, just to recap: why i'm mirroring this other side? It is so important to stagger this top instead of go like this, because you don't whoa that almost suffocated me because you don't want a harsh dark line. You want this to look as natural as possible. We want this to look like we've been at the salon baby. Now we're going to be changing direction, a little bit we're getting to this mohawk parting and our sub sections are going to be horizontal straight across the easiest way to do. This is just have everything directing forward for me. I'M going to actually section this off into a triangle subsection, because i have one of these uh. What are they called? I'M not very trendy, but those two pieces of blonde in the front. I don't know i'm going to retouch those if you don't have one of these or don't want one of these skip this step just know that you never want to really color your actual hairline. This part, unless you're doing one of these like fashion statement things, because it grows out first, obviously and you're, going to see that huge disconnect. Oh yeah, we should be wearing gloves totally forgot about that. Wear gloves, put bags on your hands, do something. Ladies gentlemen, you kind of have to separate this to get in between again. You should not be overlapping lightner, but i'm good trying to get rid of this yellow band. It'S my hair it'll be fine. If you're using the paper, you may want to go ahead and grab these pin curl clips i'll link them below as well, because the paper sometimes doesn't stick and these little clips they're like four dollars for a pack of 100 pin curl clips, we've got to move Pretty quickly, so i'm going to make a horizontal subsection here straight across see that pin this back do not want to get confused. Make sure it's straight mine is mine, is not shave, the top layer off. Take your rack tail comb go at a slight diagonal. Pick up what's on top double check and make sure that you can see through this put your foil or paper in you're, going to have to kind of use your eyeball there. You only have one to kind of do this drop off the lightener horizontally change it to vertical, so you don't get that tiger. Stripe do not exceed past the paper or foil, actually keep it down a little bit. Because, what's going to happen, is this lightener works out the heat of your scalp and it's going to swell or expand, and you don't want it to leak out the paper or the foil, because that creates a zebra stripe. Another telltale sign that you did this yourself. Swiping it through the ends fold, this moving on take about a half inch subsection, horizontal clip. This back make sure this line is straight across shave off the top very thin you need to have hair in between the foil. This is what creates dimension. This subsection is too thick, so i'm going to go through and shave it off again put your foil or paper down horizontal matches. The part line hold this really tight, drop your color off vertical, always vertical at the top, not extending past the foil or paper lightly. Kissing the ends not much, especially if they're fragile, like mine, those things are barely hanging on there. Take your one eyeball see what else you need to do fold it up, you're, going to repeat until you just can't really see anymore. Now, if you do have a buddy working with you, have them stop about right here about the apex which is the highest point of the head, the top of the head and have them start directing it down so starting the foil down down down. That'S going to be much easier because, if you're going to continue to go the way i'm going, the hair is going to be slightly over directed and you're going to have a little bit of a root area. But it just is what it is, we're doing it ourselves, so it's kind of impossible to do it this way, unless you're, using the two mirror method, i'm going to quickly finish until i get to the top of the head here, we're at the end and see What i mean how it's so over directed, so you want to hold this really really tight. Try to do the best that you can swipe the ends lightly fold this over now you're going to let this process you want to work as quick as you can, but i know it's kind of hard because it's weird angles: it's something new you're doing it yourself. So give yourself some grace, but do be mindful that you do need to work quick. If this is your first time, please use 10 volume developer, it's a really low peroxide and it doesn't develop as quickly so we'll give you some time without being stressed. Once you're done, you want to go back to your first foil. This one should be very blonde. Yellow perfect time for me to rinse this out. These are obviously not done yet because i literally just put it on so what i'm going to do is take a towel and spray it with water to stop the developing and just kind of wipe it out and i'm going to go through and do that to Any of these that are pale, yellow you are looking for your hair to be yellow white is almost impossible, get it out of your head you're. Looking for yellow, you will have to probably tone this yellow or orange. I have plenty of videos i'll put one up here on how to tone them i'll try to make an updated version, but for now this will work, i'm actually not going to be toning mine, because let me tell y'all where's it at allah, plex, shampoo and i've Been talking about this a lot lately, this is a miracle worker and normally i've got like a dupe for everything and stuff, but i have not tried one that works as good as this one, so it is definitely worth the extra dollar amount. This you can leave on it says like two minutes, i left it on for five minutes and it gets rid of that yellow without having to put any other product or color on it. Definitely get this one. I'M gon na go through and spray mine out. Let these process you're just using the eyeball method. There is no timing. You just have to watch it with your eyeballs rinse this out blow dry. It and i'll show you the results here. It is. I also cut my hair. It'S in another video i'll link it below whenever i get it done, edited whatever. So it looks much better, so i shampooed it twice with the olaplex 7p or purple violet base shampoo, because i had a little yellow, mainly at the root. So i shampooed it once did a quick little blow dry and noticed that my roots were still yellow. So i added the shampoo just to the root pretty natural other than that tiger stripe thing, but that's intentional, but i love it. It definitely brightens it up all right. So that's it thanks for joining me here, my bathroom. I have a lot of new videos coming out this week and the next week, hair tutorial so make sure to check those out i'll see you next time you

♾️Dollface♾️: OMG, you're the best I've ever seen on YouTube! I kid you not, nobody can explain it like you can. They say if you can't explain something to someone easily, then you don't know enough about what you're talking about. You're brilliant! I am a huge fan now, thank you endlessly!!!!

shams: Amazing! But can i bleach my hair without the roots like from half of my hair till the end to highlight it?

No Bubble: Very pretty!

Princess Warrior: My highlights came out so yellow and my purple toner didnt work. How to i tone it without lifting my root color? My root is about a level 5/6 and the rest of it is about 9/10 blonde. I only have permanent color 8n/811 or a 9n can i tone the highlights with tht?

Bubbly Waters: Love it! New subscriber. The one eyeball thing cracked me up! I can so relate!

Kath: Love your haircut in this video. How do you get the ends to look piecie instead of blunt on a do it yourself cut?

Amber Dean: Would doing this particular method look okay if I don’t already have highlights? Or would this need to be done on the sides as well as opposed to just the top being highlighted?

N. Tulin Tacettin: Omg your look gorgeous! Love the your hair cut and color❤

Jennifer Jen: Colour 7.23 Iridescent Golden Blonde is intriguing me, has anyone got experience on this shade and how it performs on a natural 7 base? How does it fade? Being both violet and gold which are opposites on the colour wheel how does it balance between the polarity? the youtubers who have used this shade only seem to once then return to darker hues indicating they are not happy with the fade out. Can it look more violet on some and gold on others?

Susan Haskett: I bought 20 volume and 30 volume developer at sallys a few days ago and there was no seal on the bottles is that normal. I bleached the right side the other day so it was yellow and today I used the 30 volume and it didnt lift hardly any. I feel like the bottles had been tampered with because there wasn't a seal on the bottles. Are seals suppose to be on the bottles of developer. This was the first time I have done this.

Roycelyn Peer: Lovvvvvvve it Miss Brittur a hair goddess mama

Ronda Adams: Soooo pretty!!

Pyromancy Glass Art: what side of the paper do u use the matt or shinny ??

Amber Underwood : Can ion creme bleach /20 v dev. Be used with foils? Can't find a clear answer anywhere. That's all the lightened I have rn. :/ If you want an olaplex blonde shampoo dupe look at Schwarzkopf BC color freeze 4.5 ph silver shampoo. 33.8 oz for 25$ it will last a decade. (VERY pigmented I do use this instead of wella t18 if I process light enough . 10 mins max but use discretion for your porosity. ) Don't judge the profile pic as that's not my current blonde. Love your content and thank you for the tutorials ♤♡♤
