I wanted to share my updated best purple shampoo for gray hair. I realized it’s been a while since I share with you my favorite purple shampoo and wanted to tell you about them. I used purple shampoo to maintain my gray hair and minimize brassiness. I’ve pretty much been using these over 6 months.

I do have a video on how you can get rid of yellowing of gray hair without using purple shampoo here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjInFZ....

I'M gon na say that again so this, oh my gosh, hey it's Miriam. How are you doing hope you're having an amazing day today, I wanted to do an updated purple, shampoo video, because it's been a very very long time since of the updated one. If you are new to my channel, I would love it if you would subscribe to my channel and become part of my YouTube family and let's get started with this video. I don't use purple shampoo all the time I may use it every other week or once a month kind of thing, if I'm going out, if I'm you know, if I really really need to, but I try to not do purple shampoo as much anymore. I used to do it like twice a week. I had to kill that habit really quick, because my hair was getting very dry and I just didn't like how my the texture of my hair was becoming. It was becoming very coarse and very dry and very dehydrated. So what I ended up doing was using conditioners in between those days that I'm doing purple shampoo. I do condition my hair with a conditioner that has violet in it, and I will. I did share that with you on in a video I'm going to link that in the description box below. So if you want to know what kind of products I'm using besides purple shampoo to get my hair to look more silver and gray, you can check that video out. But today I want to talk about my updated purple shampoos. I'Ve been using these purple shampoos for a more than a six months period and one of them actually been using for a year. So I really really like these. These are my go-to purple shampoos. I haven't used some of the other ones like shimmer lights and those purple shampoos, because they're very, very drying to the hair, so I've been just staying away from those kind of drugstore purple shampoos and I've been using these ones that I'm gon na be telling you About so, let's get to it, this is finola, know, yellow it's made in Italy. I get this from the salon that I go to for our haircut. You can, I think you can only get this and in salons and certified places that sell these. I'M not sure if you can get these online, I don't buy these online. I just get them from my hair at the hair salon that I go to you, don't really need a lot of it. It works really. Well, it's a little splurge $ 40 for proper shampoo is a lot for me, but once I used it, then I realized why it's cost that much money, because it's so good, it's one of those purple shampoos that doesn't make your hair dry and unruly and terrible. So you don't need to use a conditioner if you don't want to. I do conditioner in my hair just because I do that every time I shower, i conditioned my hair, but you don't need to use like deep conditioner or anything like that before when I used to do purple shampoos with other purple shampoos that I used to use. I had to treat my hair and actually use heavy treatment conditioners, but with this one with the vanilla, I don't have to do that. I just use my regular daily conditioner and it's fine. I leave it on for like five minutes, because I love purple hair. I mean: did you oh, I do purple make my hair purple in the in you know in the end, so I don't mind a little bit of purple tint to my hair, so I leave it on for five minutes and it works great. If you don't want that, tint leave it for three minutes at first and try it out and see how your hair responds to it, but it's a very good quality high quality shampoo that was recommended by my hair stylist, so definitely love it. I'M almost actually done with it, but I didn't need to use it a lot because, like I said, I'm not using purple shampoo every week this has lasted me a year. That'S how much I'm not using purple shampoo and but when I do use it, I don't need a lot of it either. I just need a little bit more than quarter size and I just put it on the areas that really really needs it. Another purple shampoo that I really enjoy is by Amica it's actually made for blondes, but it works for gray hair. So it's called Buster brass cool blonde shampoo smells great. They both actually these two, both smell, really good. It doesn't damage the hair. It doesn't make your hair dry, I just come with the conditioner too. So if you want to pair it up with the conditioner, you can - or you can just wear - you know, use this by itself again use only three minutes at a time and then see how your hair likes it and how much it absorbs the purple or violet Color, maybe even do a strand test first and put it on for three minutes on small pieces. You know like this much of your hair before you actually shampoo your whole head just to see how it works. It does fade anyway. It doesn't matter. I mean it. Does fade but in case you have to go somewhere and you don't want to have blue hair when you walk in. You know it's good to test things, especially if they have color in them. Like you know, if they tint your hair, you want to test them out. But for me I leave this one on for five minutes to three to five minutes for me and I use either the conditioner that comes with it or just use a regular daily conditioner. I am currently testing another one. Another purple shampoo that I might do a video on want some done testing it I'll actually have any one started yet so once I do that, I will do another video on a that purple shampoo, if I really like it, but for now these two are the Ones that I highly recommend that don't leave your hair dry and parched and they're really really amazing this one, the Amika. How much is their makeup? Let me find out hold on a second. I will attend you. This one is $ 20. So if you want to save money and your you don't want to spend that much money on purple shampoo, this one is only $ 20 at Sephora for an 8-ounce. This one, like I said, it's $ 40, so you can go with your budget and see which one you want to try, but they're, both very good and they don't dry your hair. So that is my video for purple shampoo. I hope that this video was helpful to you if you have tried any other shampoos. These leave a comment below. Let me know your favorite purple shampoo and I will see you in my next video bye.

Maryam Remias: Do you like using purple shampoo for your gray hair?

Loren Thomas: Thank you for your great videos. I'm transitioning at 60. My hair is dry from highlights last fall. Highlights looked nice but my hair just looks damaged now. I have to stop dyeing altogether. I have a lot of little grays coming in the front and I attribute some hair loss to the permanent hair coloring. So cold turkey. Luv your gray transition videos. Yours are the most helpful!

Michel-lee R: I am new to letting my hair go grey. My hairdresser recommended moroccan oil purple shampoo. I was concerned about not conditioning my hair even though my hairdresser said I didn't need to especially since I just wash my hair once a week.

Chezgirl Rose: I know everyone’s hair is different Maryam but the Fanola shampoo dried my hair out so badly that I am still dealing with split ends, so I changed to Matrix Total Results So Silver Shampoo and the Hi Life True Blonde Zero Yellow shampoo and the conditioner I use is Touch conditioner for blondes ... I have brown hair with foils all through my hair ... it’s great to see what’s on the market for grey/blonde hair, so thank you Maryam for this review.

Teri: I just found your channel and I love it! I use only purple conditioner. The purple dye neutralizes the yellow color in hair & it doesn't work any better with shampoo - it's the same dye. I use my normal gentle shampoo & then the purple conditioner and leave it in for at least 5 min. before rinsing.

Elena Goveo: I think it’s less expensive on amazon. Your hair looks great!

Bexington: That lilac colour on your ends looks amazing it really suits you.

Bonnie Kalin: What shampoo do you use on days your not using purple shampoos?

Makeup After Forty: Hi Beauty ❤️
