0:00 Intro

0:05 The technician said this was on a Chrysler (didn't mention model). However, as mentioned the technician removed the Weave (hair) and the vehicle no longer had a burning smell.

0:21 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. This just happened yesterday (the day before this is posted), and the viewer who shared this clip is not sure why/how this happened yet. I will give you guys an update if I get one.

0:31 Ford Transit (didn't mention what year). The customer was mad and wanted Ford or the dealer to do something in regards to their iPhone 6 breaking when they closed the door.

0:41 Why it's important to not overtighten drain plugs/torque them to manufacturer spec.

0:53 The technician said it was a bottom-end knock that he heard. He is not sure of the exact issue as GM wanted to take apart the engine themselves and investigate the issue.

1:11 The technician said: "It seems we may have an answer to the mystery. The customer has fessed up to adding Blue Devil stop-leak to the engine. I've only heard good things about Blue Devil, so I suspect he may not have followed the directions properly. My recollection of using it is that you have to drain the system, remove the t-stat, flush the system with water, drain again, install water inlet/outlet sans t-stat, fill with water and sealer, run for 15 minutes, drain/flush again with water, THEN put the t-stat back in fill with the proper coolant. I think he may have just dumped it in and this is the reaction of the sealer with coolant."

The truck also has 250000 miles / 402336 kilometres on it.

1:36 The technician said: "Funny enough I've had 2021 & 2022 variants of this 2.0L engine in my shop with under 2000 miles on them. Pistons completely melted, spun rods, dropped valves, you name it. These are the worst engines currently in production."

The 2019 Q7 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.

1:55 What you see is the piston is out of the brake caliper, and it's leaking brake fluid everywhere and that's why the brake pedal is soft.

2:06 The technician said: "This was last year, but if I remember one of the modules was fried I think but I couldn't tell ya which one."

2:18 Blue goes to blue, and red goes to red. The customer reversed the polarity so that's why it still works but does the opposite.

2:25 This is a common issue on Honda Pilots. You can repair this but it will cost a good amount as the rusted spots need to be cut out, and metal brackets welded in place. The technician said this is what they will be doing on this customer's vehicle.

What you see as well, is the rear subframe that is dropped down, so it would definitely have quite the vibration while driving.

2:40 Negative camber refers to the angle placement of the wheel in a way that the bottom is further out than the top of it.

2:50 The technician said: "2018 Ford F-150. As stated customer was complaining about a clicking noise. Once I got in I had an idea right away what it was. Showed the customer they laughed and was pretty sure a tech for their construction equipment was messing with him since driving to work it was fine to the dealership was when he noticed the noise."

3:08 Oil wasn't at rocker arms, was fine on 2nd start-up.

3:17 Outro. Thanks for watching!

Hey guys welcome to a new episode of just rolled in Customer States. They have a burning smell while driving. The technician found a weave that was wrapped around the CV. Axle of this vehicle. He removed it and the smell went away. Customer states that the speedometer shifted in the dash excuse me and this person came in because they were mad after they put their phone in this door, pocket and broke it when they closed the door. The customer's complaint is that they have an oil leak. After doing an oil change on their vehicle., The technician found that the customer stripped the threads for the drain plug and oil pan. This is a GMC Sierra with the 6.6 liter Duramax engine, and it only has 67 miles on it.. The technician was told by GM. A install the new engine as there was metal shavings in the oil. 2015 Ram with the 3-liter EcoDiesel engine., The customer said they have to keep adding coolant and there's no visible leaks on the ground. Upon further inspection. The technician found this in the upper radiator hose and radiator. The customer later told a shop that he added a stop leak of some sorts to the coolant system. The technician said this is the first time he has ever seen this and was surprised. The vehicle didn't overheat when he took it on a test drive. This engine is a 2-liter from a 2019 Audi Q7.. This engine only has 23000 miles on it, and the viewer who shared this clip said he's seen this happen on the same engines with only 2 000 miles on them, and this customer didn't mention anything about the brake pedal feeling soft when it came in for a Service customer States the wipers turn on when they go into reverse customer States. Window Works backwards after they did some repairs. This customer came in because they wanted new rear shocks installed, as they have a vibration over 75 miles per hour. This customer comes in every five weeks to get new tires installed, because their car has quite a bit of negative camber customers, States, there's a clicking noise and, as you gain speed, it gets louder and faster track and advise. Well, I think that's the cause if you've enjoyed this video, please consider leaving a like or subscribing, and you can submit your Clips at justrolledinyt.com thanks for watching

Just Rolled In: Happy Thursday! Submit your clips @ www.justrolledinyt.com Last video (if you haven't watched it: https://youtu.be/66A9d5nK8UQ

Chris Wareham: I'm glad the Honda owner agreed to the repairs to their suspension - the amount of "customer declined all further work" that we normally hear on this channel is terrifying!

Dsdcain: *I would never pull the zip ties on the driveshaft prank.* Well I actually wouldn't pull it on someone that has 0 mechanical abilities or inclination. Love your vids. I think it's great how much you've blown up since I subbed just over a year ago. Hope it keeps climbing. Be safe out there, and take it easy.

George Cauldron: I had something similar to that last clip happen to me after doing replacement cylinder heads on an Outback I bought/flipped (previous owner didn’t replace the timing belt, so it broke, bent several valves and I bought it from them for $200). I’m a pro mechanic and I’ve done dozens of head gaskets on Subarus. I started the car up for the first time, and there was a knocking noise. I nearly laid an egg. What I didn’t realize was that it was the vehicle hoist making the noise. I hadn’t fully lowered the car to the ground, and there was just enough of the vehicle weight on the hoist that the vibration as the engine started rocked the hoist just enough for it to knock around a little. Once I lowered the car, the noise was gone. Ended up making like a $2500 profit on that car.

Crusher103: "Customer states speedometer shifted in the dash." I was like which dumba....oh, the customer is quite correct.

Bill Cunningham: The first repair is listed as “unbeweavable”.

ram50v8: I once took a cowbell and put the clapper on a spring. I then mounted the bell upside down on top of the transmission cross member and sprayed undercoating to hide it. fast forward 7 years later and I ended up with this vehicle, former owner (friend) made the comment that every once in a while he would hear a bell ring but could never find it. It was still there after all these years (I had forgotten all about it lol)

Stevie-Ray: Good to see that air-cooled engines are making a comeback!

Ostsol: The zip-ties on the drive shaft reminds me of how we used to use clothes pins to hold playing cards to the rear forks of ours bikes. The card would slap against the wheel spokes and we imagined it as a motorcycle sound.

Toby Gathergood: New tires every five weeks. Someone's got more money than brains. Crazy stuff!

Thomas Caswell: wait. they went to a mechanic over a broken phone???

G F Y M: Always turn the motor by hand a couple rotations after you install head gaskets or timing. Also make sure all your tools are back in the box and not in the engine

Hallows Auto: 3:13 guy sounded like he experienced all 5 stages of grief at once

J.C. Wren: In that last clip, they're gonna find that missing 10mm socket when they remove the head...

* Joe Hall: That 1st start up after major engine work is always nerve racking.

Sunset lane: I feel bad for the person wearing that weave!! How long were they dragged? I can't imagine buying a new vehicle and have it in the repair shop for major repairs with mileage BELOW 100 miles!

Marc Whinery: The guy who did the home wiring job should make bombs. "Cut the red wire" "which one" "Cut the blue wire" "which one" "How many wires are there" "two"

Ron Boerste: Okay the first one I sure hope that hair isn't someone that person ran over

cujoedaman: Just remember, stop leak might work to plug the leak, but it'll probably plug up everything else too. That's what it's designed to do.

Gibson(גיבסון): These videos help me decide what cars I won't buy because I've seen repeat cars on the channel lol

Carl: I used to work in several shops and we'd get some doosies in quite a bit and not all customers except a certain few always tried to scam us for engines and transmissions after they ran the crap out of em and broke em lol...It never worked but very few would try it and I always took photos of the complete vehicle before I'd pull it inside the shop and trust me it saved us alot of hassle cause after showing the pictures to the customer, that usually sent em on their way lol...It's also a good idea to warn our competitors cause we all looked out for each other anyway....

Graham Heath: always surprised that people come in to you to get stuff fixed just after they have worked on it. Why don't they check what they have done! I would be to embarrassed. I really wonder at some of the junk that that drives in to the shops. I guess an annual inspection here helps clear stuff before it gets to that state.

Craig Riker: I was a on the road forklift mechanic, I was the "new guy". Once a week or so I would go to the shop to restock my truck with parts, one particular day we had a shop meeting after the meeting everyone went about their day. Upon leaving my truck was making all sorts of noises while driving, I went underneath and found a bunch of tie-wraps on the driveshaft, ha ha very funny. Removed them, get back in the truck and started to drive away and more noise! Some smart ass put rocks in the hub caps!

Richard Thomas: New tires every 5 weeks? I guess that they never thought to just have the wheels aligned!

Knuttsack Jones: So on the cross thread note this recently happened to me. I was changing my front diff fluid on my 19 F250 which requires the cover be removed. When threading the bolts back in 1 of them decided to grab the thin metal on the cover and use that to start itself. It cross threaded itself with a damn 3/8” ratchet into the housing It isn’t leaking but now I gotta crawl under it and chase the hole out. It’s in a weird spot behind some steering stuff so I couldn’t get a good look while I was doing it. Try and be a good truck ownerLOL

Based Patriot: The old zip tie to the drive shaft never fails.

damon2772nomad: Customer states that they were the kid who jammed the star shape through the square hole. ⭐️ ⬛️

Jellybean Dakota: I am so blessed to have a reliable mechanic. I've been going there for about 15 years. Sure hope he doesn't retire before I do.

Meiska Vedrine: That "Excuse me?" about the Pacifica's speedo freakin' had me dying of laughter.

Wormweed: Hahaha, that phone pocket in the door is a prime example of good intent and no testing.

enjoyingend193: Me and my friend are currently at a prank war, basically every time we see each other's car we must put a ziptie on the drive shaft without the other noticing and he's currently winning as he has to go by near my place for work so he'll make a quick stop to mess with my morning lmao

Neil 'Hogg' Henderson: Sweet wiring repair... Red to red.. Black to black.. And blue to bits!! Awesome as ever dude

Samnang Chea: Diagnosis: "Can confirm, hair was burning."

Johnny Wheatcroft: That’s pretty funny and not the first time I have seen that or done it to a buddy putting zip ties on their universal joint. Drives people that is OCD freaking mad.

Bread: That clip with the wipers reminds me there was one truck (Militarized Steyr 90) in our admin troop that if shifted into reverse, the lights and horn would go crazy. The times they had to pull into a proper hide they'd have to get the ARV to clear out the trees or rocks or whatever was around so they could drive straight out. Never really did hear back about what it was but I know they retired all those trucks pretty soon after.

DTWMTX 2011: A coworker put zip ties on the driveshaft of another coworkers truck. The owner called the police & wanted them fingerprinted... I told him there in out supply area of our shop & could have multiple prints on it. Police took them & said we'll call you with details... NEVER heard from them again. LMAO

NeedsMoreBirds: The wiring one made me snort. You’ve gotta make sure the colours match. Wonder if the owner was colourblind?

jb: Its always a good idea to turn the engine over by hand first after replacing the timing belt or the cylinder head

Kim H: The videos never get old!

U.E. U.E.: You surprise me every time!

Stackali: lol. the old zip ties on the drive shaft prank. gotta love it.

Chris Hawkins: I laughed at the speedometer! Had a car do something like that to me! Good times. Couldn’t tell how fast I was going for the needle was stuck under the “0”. Oh well. Got it home without any tickets ‍♀️‍♀️

Siren: I imagine due to the composition of stopleak even when solid it probably transfers heat fairly well, probably why it didn't overheat as it acted as the medium even if a bad one

LuckyCharms: I have done that samething with my phone years ago with that exact same van! I thought it was a cell phone holder and when I closed the door my heart sank!! I was able to get a new phone after that but man was I super sad for doing that!

wondereagle: I love this channel! Still, I drive less because of it.

Sheila Karch: I had bought a brand new Volkswagen Golf that was great for the first couple of weeks. Then it suddenly started honking the horn every time I put it in reverse. I took it to the dealership and they told me I was crazy and that that couldn’t happen. It took it in three times before it finally did it in front of them. I got so excited that I jumped out shouting at them with it still in gear!

Helios8170: The zip ties on the driveshaft prank reminds me of a post I saw somewhere about a guy came in for a weird noise when he was driving. His friends zip tied a harmonica somewhere under the hood.

T C: 3:03 - This had to have been a prank. Pretty good one, lol

Kilo jerome Smith: When I watch your videos it makes me happy that I had chosen taxidermy as my life’s work.

Cautionary Satire: I wish the issues I have with cars were always so obvious

Benjamin Brooks: Ok, finding hair on a car axle definitely checks the "now I've seen everything" box.

Michael Jurney: At 35: I have done this exact same thing twice in my 2017 transit, in the 2020 version there is actually a sticker there warning against putting your phone there. I have seen other people fo it too, the problem is, when the door is open, that looks like the PERFECT place for your phone.

James Kennedy: I always enjoy watching your channel. These are all . The one with the phone doesn’t deserve a car or phone, there’s an ole saying must’ve fell out of the well on the head. Can’t wait until the next , keep’m coming

ExiledPiasa: 0:42 I worked at a full service gas station / tire shop (‘95-‘97 & ‘03-‘04) and had this come in several times. I also had to remove some interesting things from tires.. locust thorns, toothpicks, knife blades, bolts, bones of some kind… u know, usual road hazards…

FozzyZ28: Priceless as ever! The old saying that you've seen it all ready doesn't apply to your channel!

Chris B: Haha! This is probably way more amusing to mechanics! But still humorous

ᗒᗕ MIKE HUNT ᗒᗕ: Can always count on great content in here

RPG123: These videos are exactly why I won't buy a used vehicle without putting it on a lift first and checking every square inch of it.

NeverMetTheGuy: Recently started a desk job, and this helps remind me why I didn't become a mechanic despite owning a VW.

Ray D.: Back when the Subaru WRX STI first came out, I was doing a PDI on one with 6 miles on it, started it up and Clack Clack Clack, a piston broke, we contacted Subaru Tech, they had me remove the engine, they sent me a complete engine assy from the assembly line ready to install since it was a brand new car. The bad engine went back to Japan for full teardown to find out what happened. It was kept quiet, I never was told what caused it.

DH: I think the zip ties on the drive shaft was a prank just to piss someone off they did a good job.

Joshua Stalbert: Just earlier this morning, I worked on a 2021 Transit 350 and I saw that same door pocket at 0:31 with a no cellphone sticker underneath it. I see why now…

Trace 23: I hope that weave wasn't attached to someone when it met that axle great video as always Keep up the good work (I think I'd prefer that bike. It has been a while, and I think a few days too a week cruising would help me out ☺️)

Todd Rafuse: Another great episode guys can't wait for the next one

NA: This video is full of severe damage and I love it

Maxim Teleguz: I would have called the cops in for the hair as that could’ve been a hit and run.

Hal: 0:47 some people think that every nut and bolt are meant to be tightened until you are physically unable to apply any more force

Kenneth Rolls: I aint even mad at the guy who did the window motor at least he used heat shrink connectors and did a professional looking job even though he got the polarity wrong

adam j: Correction this episode should be called how I stuffed up my vehicle because I have no common sense

Thad repairs it all: I teach auto tech. I had a class pull the zip tie on the prop shaft trick on me once. As soon as the vehicle moved I knew what happened. I just drove off so as not to give them the satisfaction of watching me remove the ties.

Gomer Gomez: Used a stop leak once while traveling, a week later I had to remove carburetor and clean out the coolant lines for the choke, but it did stop the radiator leak.

Matt Dias: Getting tires every five weeks because your car has so much negative camber is insane. Who is this person who has that kind of money?

sakra vong: Honesty is vital in mechanical career.

Jeremy Souto: I work at a Mercedes Dealership and we had a Brand New Sprinter come in and needed a new engine after 7 miles. The Shop Foreman took the engine apart to see what happened and someone forgot to tighten something in engine assembly

Ivo Ivic: whoever put that "pocket" behind that door knew exactly what they were doing and I thank them. weeding out iphone users 1 door slam at a time.

N Elks: I can’t believe people put their lives and others on the line, with these crazy things!

Banana Cam: 0:27 "Excuse me?" I feel the emotions of confusion and slight anger.

Arnaldo Fettuccine: This one made me cringe so many catastrophic failures.

ken johnson: The guy with tie straps got hit on a construction site by one of his buddies lol oldest trick in the book

Leonardo Willi: "Window works in reverse after they did repairs"..... it costs more to be stupid that's for sure. Head gasket repair first start - Patiently waiting for the sequel! "Clicking noise that gets faster as you speed up" ~ Not the first person to struggle with U-joint cap retainers. But darn is zip-ties haven't surpassed duct tape on the world stage of "fixes everything"

Blondie SL: That door pocket one reminds me of back in the 1990s when some ... ummmm.... brilliant specimens of humanity used to think that the slide-out CD player tray, on those new fangled computing boxes were coffee cup holders.

MetalDeathMusic: 2:38 - imagine spending at least 320 on new tires every 5 weeks, instead of spending 200 once to fix the same issue. Good old ignorant thinking. Guarantee if they were told about the real fix, they would decline fixes lol

Bradley VanTassal: That first one was almost unbeweavable.

tsm688: My dad used to get parts from the junkyard to do repairs on his old K-car. They weren't compatible parts, and he'd have to mix and match wiring, with occasional hilarious results like the horn turning on continuously when the car started (then rapidly powered off, of course). He is a very stubborn man

Kilroy: Last year I had to fix the power window on the car my son drives. I installed it and it operated backwards. The wiring was on a harness, so all I did was plug it in, and it only goes in one way. The factory had wired it backwards.

Amanda Duckett: 0:31 really don't know who thought these holders were a good idea lmao... We use ford transits at work and all the vans have been fitted with "DO NOT PUT PHONE HERE" stickers. Genuinely curious what it can be used for cause it's such a strange design

PFCParis: I wonder if the customer completely filled the cooling system with the Blue Devil. Itt wouldn't be the first time a customer overfilled a fluid.

Will B. Smooth: I know that negative camber looks cool and all, but, new tires every 5 weeks? At a certain point you just have to let the dream die lol.

Seth Allison: That Audi engine is insane. I worked at a Lexus dealer for five years and only saw one catastrophic engine failure (that wasn’t customer’s fault) at low miles like that

Martin: 0:32 that's new transit, there's actually a sticker obstructed by the phone in clip showing to not put phone in there lol

Diesel FIX'R: There is a reason why gm re-called all l5p duramax engines from 2020-2022.

magincap70: Well, that's the first time customer got one right. (Talking about the hair.)

Alan N: I wish I had the type of bankroll to replace my tires every five weeks.

ChrumkavySuchar: The Zip-tie prank is so perfect, thank you for idea.

Impossibly Black: @0:31 What exactly was the customer expecting the mechanic to do with the broken phone?

Jake reviews all: Scares me what some are driving out there especially those who know or even caused it. The one getting tires every few weeks should either fix the camber or toss the car, a set of tires is going to be more than a car payment.

Tu Papi 69: This videos always make my day

Greg Dent: No idea what these people do with their cars blows my mind. Wow.

Robert Colin Shepherd: 0:11-Umm, okay. Now, did that "weave" just so happen to have some mysterious odd-looking red spatters around it? Perhaps along the axle or driveshaft? I'm sure it's nothing.

derekexplosion: zip tie never gets old lol
