What'S up guys jason from the youtube channel hair system talk in today's video i'm going to answer a subscriber's question to the best of my ability, based on my experience, um, the question was he wants to leave his hair system on his head and dye his hair System, along with his bio hair, which is his side, hair and back hair all at one time so dye in this on the head, this on the head: everything and go in that route, but before we get into that uh answering that question uh the hair. That'S on my head currently is from lord hair. You can go to lordhair.com, create a free account and use the promotional code json20 to save yourself twenty dollars. If you haven't already used uh made a purchase with lord hair, you will also get a discount from them. Also, that can be combined so from what he told me in the comments he has a hair system that is color b. He said which i'm assuming must be 1b, which is kind of like black um, with 20 percent gray in the hair system. Okay um he mentioned it was a thin skin system, like maybe like six millimeter, something like that. He said so it's not an ultra thin, but it is thin um and the problem with that is the 20 gray is synthetic hair. Now, if you were to use traditional box dye from the store, for example, you're, going to really damage that synthetic synthetic hair from what i read like it can even cause it to be almost unusable. You know um, it's not real human hair, so a hair dye made for human hair will not work on anything with twenty percent gray, thirty percent gray hairs and so on. Okay, so, let's get past the point that very quickly! The answer is: no. You can't dye the hair system on your head when you have you know the the 20 synthetic hairs in it. But let's say: if you didn't have the synthetic hair, could you dye it on your head? The problem is, if you had a light density, hair system or a medium light hair since hair system a medium, a light to medium density, hair system. Excuse me, and you get any dye on that base, whether it's going to be lace skin, whatever you're going to see like a blotchy spot of dye. As soon as you touch you know, the base normally the way to dye a hair system with lace or partial lace systems is from what i've seen take the hair system off. You will apply conditioner onto that lace. Then you can dye the hair system. Okay, the conditioner, when you work that into the lace, helps in a way to prevent it from staining okay, um skin. You probably don't have to worry about it, but the thing with skin is you just just just try when you're kind of brushing dye through just not to make contact with the base right for me, what i did was i had my barber's head or if you Have a styrofoam head whatever that might be. For me, it was easiest for me to put the dye on and brush it through with a comb and obviously trying to not go as far down without touching the base. But even with me being very careful, i still had a couple of little spots on that base. Now, if you had a thick hair, a thick, a thick density, hair system kind of like this one, you can't really even see the base right. So it's not going to be an issue, but if you had a lighter density then - and you can see a bit of the scalp - you don't really want to be getting hair hair dye on the base yeah. So i don't recommend keeping your hair system on your head and just dyeing it while it's on your head, okay, ideally what you need to do is take it off. Put it on a styrofoam head, get the dye applied through as best you can without touching the base, if it's lace make sure you condition the base first, okay, um leave it on for like see. This is where i went wrong. With my experience on my dyeing right. I followed the rules on the box, which is like 30 40 minutes, leaving it on the hair. Now hair system hair takes a lot quicker to the color. So really you can leave it to like 10 minutes and that should kind of refresh the hair system. You know what i did was. I wasn't aware of it. I left the hair, the hair dye on the hair system for like 45 minutes, and i think that's why. Obviously it went very dark uh because it took way too much to the die and also went very dry. You know i noticed like when i did it. It really dried the hair out a lot and i think that's where obviously leaving the dye on way too long came and came into play. So again, you kind of want to leave it on for, like five ten minutes and kind of monitor how the look, how the color is looking and then wash it off. I would kind of use it as like a refresher if your hair system is kind of losing a little bit of color or having a bit of discoloration, and let's say two months in three months in um. I would go ahead and use the die method to kind of bring it back to life. I i don't know how many times you can kind of repeat that repeat that process, but i think it would work out a lot better if i only left the die on the original time for about 10 minutes maximum, you know to kind of prevent the drying And also wash it condition it a couple of times to make sure you get all the chemical out. You know um. So if i was to go back and do my own hair again, let's say this: one in three four months starts to have a bit of discoloration three months, two months, whatever i'm gon na go ahead, take it off my head, put it on the styrofoam um Um or barbara's head, i'm gon na comb the die as best through the entire hair system, as i can making sure i don't touch the base, this front is lace, so what i'm going to do is put a bit put the conditioner all on the lace area And and just really try not to get anything close to the base, i'm going to leave the hair dye on and monitor it for like five to ten minutes and then go ahead wash it condition it wash. It condition it and then i can get a better idea of how it looks from there. What i'm not going to do is leave the leave the the hair dye on for a long period of time. What i'm not going to do is try and get anything on the base from what i've kind of read. Also, if you're one of those people that wants to you, know what i mean like make a really cool. Looking hair system color, you know like whether it's like you know you know, use these kind of like very interesting, unique, colors you're going to need to start off with a blonde hair system to achieve that. For me, i went with like a let's say: if i have a dark brown hair system, the color went to brown and i or reddish brown, whatever it might be. I can use darkest brown to kind of maybe like get it back to its closest to its natural color. What you can do is take brown and make it blonde. You know, i don't think it's as simple as that: you'd either need to kind of bleach the hair system when it comes to doing something like that. You need to either start off with blonde or, as i would probably say, take it to a professional. That knows exactly what they're doing you know. The only thing i'd recommend is: if your hair system is losing that bit of color, you can use it as a refresher to bring it back to life if you're looking to get a little more time out of your hair system. That'S the only time i'm going to use hair dye to bring back the color, i'm not going to go, buy a brand new hair system and try and dye it, and for that guy. That asked about the question. If you need to make, for example, i'm assuming you want to make your sides black, your hair black everything black go blind, go buy a 1b hair system. Go get like something that matches that 1b color for your sides. Do your sides and back without the hair system on and then apply the hair system. If that starts to fade, you can go ahead and bring it back to life by dyeing it don't leave the hair dye on too long other than that. I think i'm rambling guys so yep, that's going to be it. The hair that i'm wearing currently is from lord hair is the inception dash fl on their website again, the promo code json20 can apply to anything on the website and i hope that answered it without having to ramble too much.
