Beautiful Red Hair | Discover Kenra Color | Kenra Professional

Hey everyone, I'm Oliver Shortell national artistic manager for camera professional. Thank you so much for joining me today. I'M gon na be teaching you all about kenra Reds and how to create this beautiful, shiny, deep, violet, red look in the red family. We have quite a few different tones to choose from. We have tones such as copper, gold, red copper and red Brown that are more subtle. We also have more vibrant shades, such as red red violet, red and red violet. It'S important to remember that when you're lifting you're going to be exposing underlying pigment, you can either use this to your advantage or cancel it out, depending on the shade that you're going for, for instance, if you want something more warm, you could lift with one of Our our series, which is red, if you want something even more warm you could add our C series or copper. If you're looking to cancel some of the underlying pigment, you could work with shades, such as our violet red or a red violet. My consultation with my client today I found that she is a natural level for her. Texture is quite fine and she has a little bit of porosity on her end, so she's a great candidate for a red. We want to go to between a level 5 and a level 6 so because we don't need much lift. I'M gon na be working with the 20 volume today she doesn't have any gray hair, so I'm not gon na need to add any natural into our formula because we aren't lifting too much we're not going to be exposing too much of that underlying pigment. I'M gon na be adding a blue booster today, just to make sure that I get that true. Violet result that I'm looking for. If you want a result that is more than 4 levels lighter than your starting point, you would need to pre lighten the hair. If you are going to pre lighten the hair, make sure that you're only lifting to the level that you need and not too far above doing, that, could cause off tones in your red color. The formula I'm going to be using on my client today to create this rich, vibrant violet red is going to be 2 ounces of 5vr 2 ounces of 6rr that'll be mixed with four ounces of 20 volumes. After that I'll add one ounce of my blue booster. Now that I've finished my color application, I'm gon na process for the recommended amount of time, which is 30 minutes. Here'S the finish result on my client. You can see this beautiful, deep, violet red with really intense shine, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and hit the bell for notifications for future videos.
