I'M so excited today, Briana, what's going on what's going on, I think we have some like really super things happening. Superpower direct I this is me as this direct eyes are super potent superpower. Oh Lord she's, on Weddell today and she's gon na have the Crimson spells. I'M gon na be loud, can you own it? Can you own it? Oh yeah. Just just guys know: Ariana is artistic team member, so she will be working with us today and we're gon na get started. Now today we are gon na use. Stroke 7, which is our Rose, volley gosh, clay-based Lightner, tell us Arianna. We want to reconnect some of what she's got going on down here so that when we put our super power, it's all connected and looks wearable. We don't need to lift a hair to a level 9 or 10 to deposit red. We only need to lift it to about seven, so balayage ring just to connect the top in and then we're gon na deposit. Our new super power, direct dye crimson, spell before we get started. I do want to introduce you guys hold this to our new look at this paddle guys tell us what the deep dish steep dish so that you can put your product in it. If you can put it in there and apply and swipe away stroke away stroke away, yeah Lauren, you hold this one okay, so this is our smaller brush. If you want some detail work, the smaller brush is the key to getting precision. You also have the medium size. This is actually my favorite, because well it's the largest size I like to call it me up. You can always be bigger. Cuz, I'm a little bit of a size queen like areata over here, bigger, bigger parallel, because bigger is better. Sometimes what I love is that you can see guys, hang my identity logo on there, so it makes it very personal. It gives you powers when you use it, the bristles do have a jagged tip to it, which gives it more of a smoother blend. I always feel is important to always measure you have to measure, so you get consistency every time. My favorite mixing ratio is 1 2 3, because the developer is called thick hashtag thick with two C's guys: okay, so 1 2 3 ratio with 20 grams would make 60 grams of the thick developer. So take a look at how thick that developer is. This is what's going to give you that frosting consistency right so you'll see me use a whisk with a silicone coated or rubber. If you will coated wait, call it Ariana, it's like the whisk. It'S a whisper! You don't want to use the metal because I don't know why. But every time we use the metal whisk things happen. We need to follow the directions because they're there for a reason. Okay, so when you thoroughly mix it take your time here, you don't have to rush okay, so then you'll see it kind of clump like this, and then you could go faster because you don't want to spill it all over the place, see that now it comes Together just beat it just beat it well, we'll let Ariana beat it what's the rest of the lyrics, I don't remember all right, let's get started, take the balayage Lightner paint it on your paddle place it inside of the reservoir. I'M going to take a diagonal right from behind the ear pivot, down and kind of create a crescent shape over make sure it goes across to the other side. You can see it's going at a diagonal and I'm gon na over direct the hair over this way. As you can see, her ends are already a level 8, so we only have to apply the product stroke 7 through the mid-shaft and blur it through and we'll knit the end so make sure you sweep the brush with stroke 7 on the board. You start in the center okay and then you pack it on the more product you pack on the more lift you will get. So that's why you'll see me pack on more product in the mid area and then I'll stroke, the product lightly up. So that way you get a transitional blend from Hermitage down to the mid area. Okay, so you see me lightly feather it through just so, you will see it blend, but you won't see me penetrate okay, so I'm not gon na penetrate her, I'm just gon na stroke, the product on the surface place the mesh sheet over the top. At an angle, just like that, so you can see here we're kind of swinging back and forth. I'M gon na alternate right left right, left right and left again. I'M gon na repeat the same thing, its swiping on so nicely. You can see it on the board when you swiped it on it's like cream. Look how fast I'm going it by just packing on and just sweep it on. It goes really really fast. Ever since Instagram became kind of popular everyone's bringing in the image - and it says Bali on the reality is balayage - can only give you sunkissed results. If you want like high contrast, a lot of times, it's done with foils, if this backcomb color meltdown with a shallow root, that's how it's done. I have plenty of videos on the channel. Okay and you'll see that there's plenty of foil videos that mimic a balayage from and get higher lift and if you guys have any questions, y'all, hair besties in the land just leave comments below. Okay. Ask me any questions I'll try my best to answer all of them. I don't sleep I'll answer everyone's questions till 3:00 a.m. what I love is the difference between this shell with stroke 7. Is you have the allowance of having more flexibility to could bend the hair? Some and not worry about the shell cracking and creating dust all over the place. I'M just gon na make up that word is doesn't call, alas, the shell okay, because you could bend it back and forth. It'S not gon na crack. All over the place. You might get a little bit cracking but not crazy, like all the cracking that you've been seeing alright stroking on packing on heavy, remember the heavier you go, the more lift you get. So I'm going to show you guys how I balayage around the parietal area when doing this type of sectioning, sometimes less sectioning is better some going day, I'm gon na forward all the way up until I meet that face frame right, you can see me go up On the top in the bottom of this section, when I get up to the lightning maker, I don't like, I don't like saying the moneymaker: do you know why it's called that. I know okay, every single time. I say that I always think of porn. Let'S make up a different think about it: can we make we're gon na make up a new name for the face frame about half an inch width or in girth? Okay, guys see me stroke, seven on the paddle just like that, and I just repeat this same pattern: all the way up to her face frame. It is a rose-color. Balayage. Lightner, however, is for aesthetic purpose. It'S not gon na leave a pink or rosetone in your hair. Alright, so don't get it twisted. I want to make sure that we have fun why we're working at the salon. It'S a lot fun. It is about fun. What'S the point of living, if you can't be a little extra, sometimes right, okay, so we're gon na incubate that and you'll see me repeat it all the way up to the top alright! So now I'm up to the face frame area and this piece is so important because it's a piece that everyone sees right. So I like to elevate the hair up start from the center and start stroking. All the way down to the scalp itch less product should be near the recharge area, otherwise it will look like an antenna. Then I stroke up. So I reach almost the ends and then I stretch her hair down and make sure I apply some product over the top area too. But this will make sure this piece really really pops around her face and then we're gon na. Let her process for 45 minutes and we are done y'all, alright, so we're back with Lauren the reason why we only lifted her up to about a seven eight ish is because you don't need to lift the hair to attend. Now you could have you wanted to. It will actually look more like brighter, like fire like fire engine yeah, but when you put over the underlying pigment, that's warm, it supports it and it supplements its is supple, but now guys it's time to get the super power. Direct dye on, oh, my gosh. Look how rich that color, you guys you're gon na die when you see this in person. If you are looking for that rich, powerful red direct dye, I'm telling you this is it. This is that let's get started so when that turn Lauren to the side, you see some of her natural color coming through what I love about the superpower. Direct dye is that is so pigmented. Even your natural hair picks up the colors. They can literally put this all over. I'M going to show you how red this is. Look at the depth of that red. Isn'T that amazing? It'S like no other! It'S a simple application, apply it all over! Look at the pigment and how concentrated that is. We call it super power because you know is so powerful is so concentrated or so Lauren tells a little bit about your story. Let'S let show us your face here. Well, my struggles are fast food and munchies and eating healthy. Tell us about it. It'S like okay, because I'm just thinking like that's our struggle like that doesn't sound like oh my gosh. Well, six months ago, they found some cancer cells, my body so going to another place here, so they basically eat the doctors. Doctor said, if I don't want it to get to like a higher stage, I have to completely change my lifestyle eat healthy exercise because of the because of the cancer cells. Yes, does that scare you a little bit, I mean that sounds like the word cancer. You know it's at the scary word yeah, because at first, when you first told me, I'm just like thinking wait a second here. You can't eat McDonald's or KFC used to be my number one. Go-To yeah, I think eating healthy is. Definitely you have to change a lot about yourself. It sounds like something so silly. You know it sounds really silly. It sounds really. You know not a big deal, but about a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with lupus. I don't really tell anyone. So if you know me - and I haven't told you - I usually tell people you know eating healthy has changed my life. I mean I was lucky enough to find a doctor who was like. I don't want to see you on so much medication, so try cutting out the meat and cutting out. You know the bad foods and it's made a huge difference and I'm really grateful. It was hard, though I know I usually eat whatever I want. Whenever I want like that's always when I eat, I probably spend like $ 20 at the gas station every day, literally for the past year, like I just snacks, McDonald's, fast food every day, all right, the cool thing about direct dies, guys is what you see, is What you get you don't have to mix it with any developer. You squeeze out the tube it's ready to apply to the head. You just have to think about your underlying pigment. That'S on the hair, so you can see here, look how deep and rich this is right. So I'm just gon na saturate saturation is key because there's no ammonia in it. There'S it's not gon na expand, so you have to make sure you penetrate spread and open up and push the product in and that's really important Lauren can do a special trick. Show us. You said that you can lick your elbows or something. Let'S see. No, my! I can't get close to my own. Do that one more time. Oh my god! How do you do that? I used to be double-jointed on my shoulders. Oh that range of motion - oh my god, Lauren. I wouldn't know who your biggest hero is growing up like who do you look up to my biggest heir to be my mom, because she's so non-judgmental and understanding and she's so genuinely kind to everyone? Caring and you know you don't find a lot of people like that in the world. Oh listen, my mom is my hero too. Okay, you know, heroes doesn't have to be a celebrity or somebody that's a an idol. You know I'm talked about. We can look up to them, but I feel like sometimes heroes are like your mom or your sister. The real people are heroes, and sometimes I get smashed because maybe I don't have a superpower, but their superpower is being kind being that person who needs well. What superpowers would do you have Lauren? If you were to have a superpower to be able to fly, become invisible? You can do a lot of sneaky thing. Okay watch out for you guys because she's a sneaky person, but you know what I feel like. Sometimes you know having superpowers, it comes with a lot of responsibilities, but a lot of times people can use super powers for evil right. So you guys, if you have power, if given that chance, what would you do with it leave your comments below, because I feel that is so important that if you were given the power that you do good with it, just keep in mind that no matter when You'Re blessed with a chance to have a little bit of power. Just remember that it's not the world is more than just you, but you almost have to sacrifice yourself for others. That'S one of the things I love about Superman Superman. It'S like he put himself aside to save others. You know like he'll, just go, save a cat and a dog falling off a tree, or something like that. So I think that that's why the responsibilities come from right, Lauren right and I take that back. I don't want to be invisible, okay. Why are you taking that back right? Now I want to transport, you know, go to places, I'm gon na be in Greece right now, Italy, oh, so you decide to not be a villain anymore. Yeah! Well was I oh yeah. You were talking about like Oh super people could be malicious with their powers and all that I was invisible. I'D probably be able to no good yeah seriously, guys leave your comments below what powers which you have right, Arianna. Yes, I want to know, and what would you do with it? Yes, and I know you jealous, I want to feel like a woman like that, how I want to feel like a woman you make me want to be a woman. I think you need my help. Cuz your hair. When you move it, there's so much shine and I mean look at her riches, but then I'm in seoane I mean when she moves, you can see the depth and what I love about her color is that is dimensional and it's wearable. The thing is guys you can use the superpower of color to do anything. You want. You want crate, unicorn hair. You want to create wearable hair. You want to use it to overlay natural hair. You can, as you can see, I mean she could go around with this and how powerful hair, but still be like. Okay, that's beautiful. I could wear that right when it comes to like colors that are direct dyes. It'S like, oh, you know, you're, just gon na be a punk or something, but that's not the truth. There'S so many you can be wearable, be everyday, be everything be happy, punky be wearable, be everything that's. What super power is all about is how you guys use your powers, we're gon na use it for good or evil. Karleen Bergkotte: I love this colour and I used it on my own hair and it is so beautiful, but I had to strip it out after a few days because the colour seems really unstable. If your hair gets the slightest bit of water on it the colour comes pouring out, if it rains, it comes out, if you sweat, it comes out and I would wake up covered in the dye. When you shower it is like a bloodbath and the colour just keeps coming out no matter how long you shower for. For me it wasn't something I could cope with and I was gutted as it really was so beautiful. I'll stick to the demis and permanent colours from Guy Tang.
