Color Analysis Case Study - Green Eyes, Medium Brown Hair

Hey it's Jen thorne with your color style, calm and welcome to another Q & A in this session. We have the question hi Jen. I love your work. Thank you. I'Ve been struggling for a while trying to figure out. If I am a soft autumn or soft summer, I have warm skin, yellow undertones with green veins. My dad is Portuguese, but I have cool green blue eyes and neutral hair with natural gold or red highlights. It'S. So confusing, I think, I'm a true summer, but I also tum time sometimes feel like I'm a soft autumn, I've been going back and forth with the for two years, all the best Brittney okay. So let's take a look at her and I want to unpack a couple things that she says, because we don't do seasonal color analysis that your color style right. So I'm going to explain this in terms of your color style. But I want to also explain a couple things in this question before we go in a little deeper into a little bit of a quick analysis. Soft autumn is someone that wears earthier colors best. They don't look great and super bright colors and they have warm undertones. Soft summer is someone who has cool undertones and looks really good and like dusty, cool colors like dusty, pinks and mobs that kind of a thing. So she says she has warm skin and then she says that for that I think I'm a true summer and a true summer. I believe I don't know for sure, but it's someone that has cool undertones and can wear some of the brighter colors or they're soft autumn, which is really almost the opposite. Okay. So, let's take a look at her and I'm gon na give you my opinion of what I see so I understand why she struck a little bit. She'S got this these eyes that are they have a green quality to them. I don't say that the earthy by any means, but they definitely are green and a little bit on the brighter side, and she has this very neutral hair. I'M assuming this up here is the most neutral, so kind of an ashy quality to it. I don't see a lot of warmth in her hair and she says she's got warm undertones and I feel, like maybe she's got a little warmth. I also feel like she's, very, very neutral, so my impression of her right now is that she has a very she appears very neutral and her eyes seem a little bit on the brighter side. So I draped her virtually and a bunch of different colors and color types, and so, if you are kind of in this, if you look like her, you just want to learn more you're gon na learn something for sure in my very quick analysis. So I did bright cool and light and bright warm and light. I did bright cool and light mainly because she thought she was a true summer yeah. This feels very, very bright and intense on her. I don't, although she's got brightness in her eyes, this feels too bright bright, warm in light because she says she has warm undertones and I don't love this. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. We have soft light on the left and soft warm and light on the right, and I can tell you I don't prefer the soft and warm on her these deep earthy err tones. She doesn't really have any earthy qualities about her she's, very delicate and her overall coloring and I'm starting to see more and more coolness in her eyes. She may have some yellow in there. She may described that, but I'm seeing coolness overall in her skin tone, her hair and in her eyes. So I kind of liked the soft light, but let's keep going probably Coulomb medium is entirely in my opinion too, too intense and bright, warm and medium. I don't think she has wonder tones. I think these are kind of making her look more flushed. I don't see a good balance here at all, so the bright and warm ism is a no for me. The soft cool, medium and soft, warm and medium, which are just basically darker versions of this right here, the on the right again, I don't see that kind of depth and earthiness and her. I don't like this on the soft warming medium on the right at all. Soft cool and medium, I feel, isn't bad eye. It'S that lip color is definitely pretty intense for her, because she's so light and delicate and her features. But I'd like this plum on her, so I switched up a little bit for soft cool and light. I put the soft cool and light lip back on her with with the color. That is definitely soft and muted to complement her eyes on the right is the bright, cool and light lip with a brighter green, and I just think that it is just a little bit too much now it doesn't mean she can't wear brighter colors if she really Likes a brighter green cuz, it probably would lights her eyes up a little bit. She can, but I would stay with a more softer, more natural lip for her. If she's going to do that, I think this is far more in harmony for her. I don't know why this is actually warm. Let me just update that real, quick soft cool and light on the left eye with a little bit of a deeper color here same color, but with the warm lip - and I hope you see what I see, but I definitely like her more in that cool lip. So here's what I would recommend. I think that she is soft cooling medium. I think that for her lipstick for her makeup, she needs to keep it a little bit lighter a little bit more delicate and the soft cool and medium color palette. I think, is perfect for her. It doesn't mean she can't wear some brighter colors, because her eyes do have a little bit of brightness, but I definitely see cool undertones. I see an overall softness about her versus a bright meaning that you know she doesn't those bright bright. Colors seem to be a little bit overpowering on her and I definitely don't see enough warmth in her undertones that gives her. You know that makes those warmer colors more in harmony, I'm seeing cool undertones, softness medium, soft cool and medium now, she's also offered to allow me to use her photo in the online quiz.
