Dying My Brown Hair Purple?! | Arctic Fox + Manic Panic

It'S a look, hello, everyone. It is karen welcome to the channel. Today we are going to be dyeing my hair and i might not have shaved my pits so don't mind that this is like the top. I always wear when i dye my hair. So you know you know it's inside out and all that good stuff, and then i don't have to wear a bra, not that you can tell anyways it's very faded and i also really need to cut it like it's. I feel like it's grown so much since i got it cut, so we might have a future haircut. Video coming up, i'm kind of scared to cut my hair short when it's already so short, so we'll see we'll see i want to. I really want to buzz it. I really want to buzz it just one time i just want to get rid of the non natural bits which is like a lot of it. Anyways, i'm gon na move us over into the bathroom, so we can get started. I am so sorry we have our little thang to put our dye in. Why can't i think of the word, you know what it is. We have a brush, we have gloves and we have some protective stuff on our counter, which is just a popcorn by orville redenbacher, the vegan one first things first, going in with purple rain by arctic fox. Quite a few of these are gon na be arctic fox. I mainly want it to be this purple. Hair dang arctic fox smells delicioso next going in with transylvania by arctic fox. I'M only going to use a really small amount of this, because it's pretty pigmented - and i don't want my hair to be too dark nice bloop with that you can always add in more, but you can't take away next, i'm using this color that i used in My last video - and it's just the remainder from that, so just getting rid of what i already have to use it up and you can see there's really not that much left in there, so i'm just gon na use this up. This is such a pretty color, though next i'm going in with voodoo blue by manic, panic, which i also used in my last video. So i'm just gon na use a little bit of this, because it's pretty and we're definitely going for a purple purple rather than a burgundy color. Oh, i definitely just got dye on my hand. Anyways. Now i'm just gon na mix the color and see what we get see if i need to add any more blue or what oh, she is purple. I don't know i kind of like that. You never know how it's going to turn out on your hair, especially when your hair is like a faded brown. I find when dyeing hair. It'S always better to have more than you need, because you don't want to run it run out, run out halfway through wipe. It on the sides and then just i can definitely use more blue and that is our color. I hope it's turning up. Okay on camera, should i like dim this light? Will it make it appear better? Worse oops, i don't know anyways it's like a really nice purpley, color, more so blue, based than pink base fingers crossed that the framing is all good. I'M gon na put all my gloves and get the hair dyeing. I do also have a little clip, so i can kind of clip up some sections of my hair kind of sort of, maybe also i'm sorry. If the mirror is a little dirty, don't mean for it to be dirty. I'M just gon na clip this section away, because this is my main section that i want to make. Oh that really hurt. This is my main section that i want to make sure i don't mess up, so we gon na get to dye on our hair. Now, i'm also really hoping that the lighting's okay in here kind of set you up with a tripod with like a ring light. I have to use an extension cord because there's no plug outlet in my bathroom, which is awesome. Why there's no plug outlet? I don't know normally i would brush my hair, but um. I kind of did sort of it's short. It has no knots, we learn from our mistakes and then we make the same mistakes until we actually learn. So i'm just gon na bloop, some on my hair. Oh and on my scalp, apparently yay and back to blooping, also i'm pretty sure in one of brad mondo's videos. He said you can kind of just blop it on. He definitely did not use that terminal term. He definitely did not use that terminology, but i feel like with short, hair he's kind of like yeah. Just do it, you know, so i'm just doing it. I shouldn't have used this hand, though, because i want to hold my mirror and now this hand has purple on it and i don't want to get purple in my mirror. Let'S do it blind? No! No! I can't do it blind. I can't hopefully i saturated that more than enough now, i'm just gon na you know, do the front and sides and stuff i'm just gon na plop, someone in my hands and smush it down the back smudge it when all else fails, smush it. The main reason i really work and massage it in is because i want to make sure it's thoroughly penetrating all the parts of my hair. It needs to again, since this isn't like damaging or anything, it's more, so hydrating and more mask. I'M not too concerned about any damage, but again when you're using actual damaging products. Don'T do that? Don'T do that probably best to go to a professional. You want really well done hair, there's only so much we can do from the comfort of our homes. So now i'm letting down my front section and i'm gon na work it in little by little. I think i might have mixed like almost the perfect amount for doing this. I don't think there will be any leftover just okay as long as it doesn't end up patchy. I remember there was one time when i actually dyed my hair, like with box dye, and i didn't properly do my hair, blind and uh. It was not a cute. Look just saying nobody wants a messed up. Hairline! Look it's like i'm dracula! That'S my dracula impression! Okay! Now that we got that done, we can fully finish the tips. God yeah, look at my hair. How long my hair is now this whenever i do that it makes me think of. What'S that one movie: where is it easy? I can't remember her name, but you know, when she's in the shower scene, making her hair all like it's a look, oh until it flops, then it's just sad. I'M definitely just gon na use up the remaining hair dye, because there's not enough to save, which is fine by me, like i didn't get to do the back as much it's so cold when it goes onto your scalp. I really want to make sure i got the hairline in the back as well, because i feel like last time i almost didn't that could be bad, but anyways just going to continue smudging and yeah smoosh it up now. I do really want to cut my hair and possibly buzz it myself, but i don't know i'm like nervous too. I want to, but i'm nervous too. So i don't know, i guess we'll have to wait and see to do it myself, or should i go to a professional, i don't know i was thinking. I could follow a certain someone's video for cutting it. So you know it would be the men's hairstyle though i wouldn't be following the women's hairstyle, because i'd rather be androgynous. So, although i do want to say i uh, there's gon na be a lot of cleanup. I do want to say i've had a lot of questions about my sexuality since cutting off all my hair. So that's interesting. I almost want to do a video on what i've experienced, having short hair, like things that happen. Having short hair like how people treat you and stuff, maybe okay, now i have a little bun kinda, that's fun. It looks very dark, not gon na lie. It looks super dark, i'm just gon na have it stroke back like draco malfoy, draco malfoy, but with black hair, because it looks black. I guess we'll see how much that transylvania really turned out anyways with this lovely draco malfoy esque hairstyle, i'm gon na leave it on for 30 minutes to process rinse it out and then you'll see the final results which i'll probably film tomorrow in all honesty. But you wouldn't know that unless i told you so yeah 30 minutes time to clean up and let's see what happens - lots to clean up look at this. Look at this. That'S beautiful, beautiful, hairline job beautiful, like this, is exactly how it should look exactly and after 30 minutes here are the finished results now i do want to say it's pretty dark in the lighting that was going on here and that's the thing with this type of Hair color on top of brown is usually it's going to end up, looking quite dark in most lightings, but then in sunlight you'll see that you can see the purples and kind of the blue hues throughout with my hair in particular, there is a color variation and That'S because some of my hair is natural virgin, hair and then other bits are previously dyed, so they're gon na soak up more of that color, and so it can give an uneven look.
