Overtone - Rose Gold For Brown Hair - Does It Actually Work??

Hey guys and welcome back ignore the state of my hair, because today is a hair, video and we're gon na do something about it. So i typically do mostly makeup and skincare on this channel, but my most viewed and continues to be my number one viewed. Video is my overtone, rose gold, hair, color video, and i did that when i had bleached blonde hair um. So now i've done two overtone videos. So if you haven't seen those you can check them out when i had blonde hair, i did the rose gold and then i did the red for brown hair since having brown hair. Today, i'm gon na do the rose gold again, but i now have the rose gold for brown hair, so we're gon na see. If this shows up this is it's not easy to do, rose rose, can't talk, rose gold, hair on brown hair, so we're gon na see if this shows up at all. If it's i'm expecting it to be just a little bit of a tint to my hair, which is to be expected since i have dark brown hair, but i want to see if you can see this at all. When i did the red, i could definitely see a red tint to my hair and i loved it. That'S what we're doing today we're going to color my hair with overtone and um yeah. I'M going to continue to do these videos because y'all seem to like them. I ha, i actually already have another color for when this one fades out, so i'm excited for that one as well, but i'm also wanting to look into other brands. I'Ve been using overtone for years and i love their products, but i've seen some other ones. Even on amazon, where they are color, depositing hair masks or conditioners or even shampoos, and so i'm curious about testing some of those out. If you know any good ones, please leave it in the comments below, but let's go ahead and get into this. Let'S first see the color of my hair again, i slept on it wet, so it's not like styled at all, but i want you to get a good look of the before hair color. This is um. What my hair naturally looks like. I have colored this in the past, but my roots, my new growth, is pretty long at this point, but i i don't even know where it starts and stops, because this is pretty much my hair color so like i have several inches of new growth, but you Can'T really tell so anyways this is my natural hair color, basically, and we're gon na see what this does to my hair. So, first of all, oh i need to get a towel, so i don't get my chair dirty, but first of all, i'm gon na. Do this in sections, if you haven't already watched my other videos or if you haven't seen overtone, you apply this to your dry hair, let it set and then wash it out. That'S all you do super simple. You leave it on 10 to 15 minutes. You can leave it on as long as you want. I mean i wouldn't leave it on for days, but you can leave it on longer. It is a conditioning mask. So it's good for your hair. I i think the number one thing i would say when you are applying this is to make sure you have thoroughly coated your hair. So just like you are getting your hair dyed, it needs to be completely thoroughly covered. So i'm going to do this in sections. So i'm going to section off the top part and we're going to start on the lower section, i'm going to get a towel to put around well. So i'm just going to drape this over my shoulders and we're going to get started um. They do send you a pair of gloves with this. I do recommend using gloves you don't have to, but it will stain your hands. It does come out um, each color is different. The rose gold doesn't stain as bad as like the red did, or the blue. The blue stains really bad. I recommend using gloves, let's see what the color looks like in the tub. I'M always fascinated to see um, and the smell of this is incredible, say that every time i open these products, but it smells so good, very, like refreshing smell like a minty, but not i don't know it's it's mintiest minty esque and here's the color very, very Pretty i'm so excited to see what this does. We are going to lunch with my in-laws in uh ooh and a half hour two and a half hours, so i need to get on quickly because this takes me a little. While again i have thick hair. Okay. I also recommend combing this through um after you put it on use a comb to make sure it's all coated, but anyways i am oops, i'm already getting it on myself. I am going to probably speed through this to music, so you can still see it but not have to uh spend the entire. You know, however long it takes me to do this, so you get to watch me move like a cartoon super speed. Okay, so my hair is hopefully thoroughly saturated, whoops yeah, i'm not using a mirror, i'm just using my monitor. So i got that all over my forehead. My hair is thoroughly saturated now, and i've been filming for 19 minutes, so um, maybe about 15 minutes. For me to put this on, show you about how much i use uh, i may have used about half, maybe a little less than half, because it wasn't like completely full. So that's about how much i used for my hair. I do have quite a lot of hair but yeah i'm gon na. Let this set for about 15 minutes and then i'm going to wash it out dry it and come back for the reveal and let's see if this is worth buying, if it does anything um yeah, so i will be back with freshly washed and dried hair. Okay. Okay, so i rinsed my hair out and blow dried it real, quick and i have it hidden, so you can't see it. Of course. I don't know at this moment. If i can see anything, i think this is going to be one of those that i can only see in the sunlight, but in the bathroom drying, my hair. I didn't really see anything in my hair, but let's see what it looks like under the studio lights. Let'S uh take this off for the reveal alright, so here is the after. I have to look at the before and after footage to like really really see. I don't know guys this one, i think on my hair was kind of a flop which i'm kind of sad about. I got a little bit on my scalp, that's stained, but um may have very very very slightly tinted it a little bit warmer. But if i want like a warmer, i would go with the red because it really has a little bit more of a pop. I really did enjoy the red for brown hair, so rose. Gold is a hard color to do with dark hair because it's rose. Gold is typically a light color. It looked beautiful on the blonde hair, absolutely loved that, but for the brown rose, gold, i'm gon na say skip it. If you want rose gold and you have brown hair, you may need to bleach your hair. I do have high hopes for the next one that i have um. I think it's gon na do something on my hair. I may make it darker, even but i'm kind of excited to see that one um and i won't have to wait that long, because i was gon na wait till this washed out and i think um. I could probably do it after a couple of washes because i don't know, let me know in the comments below if you see a difference, and i will, when i'm editing look at the before and after and i'll probably put them side by side for you right Here but uh yeah, i don't know i that one was i'm sorry that one was kind of like a wall, but no, no, i don't know that's gon na be for this one that i was hoping it would do a little bit more, but let me know If you have any requests for future colors, i am down to try any color you want. I wouldn't really be happy about green, but if i got enough requests, i would do the green one all right guys. I'M gon na have lunch so that wraps it up for this video.
