Farah101: For people who don’t want split ends, but DO want heat damage.

Gabriel Malefetse: He deadass lost control and burnt half the client's hair off and he knows it

Amy Fay: My fave part was when the fire almost got away on him and he had to slap that comb through her hair quick!

Rachel Guyer: I love how he completely ruined their hair and took off like six inches of length.

Shan f: I love how they never showed the end results lmaoooo

Momma-Smashly👑: As a licensed cosmetologist and pro aesthetician of 16+ years this is absolutely absurd on so many levels! LADIES: PROMISE ME U WILL NOT DO THIS? Truly? I really mean it!

mkv 85: Lmao he looks nervous doing it, he's not even confident that it'll work lol

daniel lucia: If I was a woman I wouldn’t trust anyone doing that to my hair no matter how experienced he is.

Haroon Yousafi: “Scissors exist” This guy: *We don’t to that here*

Reena: Reporters: “he burns off split ends” Him: *burns off a random 3 inches in the middle

BalooYourMind19: Reporter: “So why do you use this method”?? Him: “THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE ” Reporter: “I see…”

Deanna: I have had a second degree burn on my stomach, years ago. The burn source, may be extinguished, however the burning beneath the top layer of skin does not stop. It took tons of morphine and skin grafts, to repair the damage. It's excruciating pain. The best advice I can give here is don't do it.

Suzy: I watched my mom do this to one of her clients when I was little, but she did one section of hair at a time. Also she tightly twisted each section before burning the split ends with a candleputting out the flame immediately with her hand

mrbigg151: I don't have hair down to my back, but I'd go with the good ole ✂ for $500, Alex.

Fantastical Fox: This is really counterproductive, I mean other than the fact that this practice is unsafe, the heat from the fire is just going to cause further damage up the shaft thus causing more split ends lol

Dong Son: Just reminding everyone that wants to try this trend. Using a hair straightener on the highest setting damages your hair. What makes you thinking literally burning it won't? Oh he used anti burning cream. Its literally on fire I don't think any cream can help incineration. Just be start ladies n lads.

Jamieka: There’s already a hair tool that straightens and burns the hair called the hot comb.‍♀️

Labtyd3: My grandmother had long hair her young life. She was born in 1906. She and her twin sister would twist their hair and pass a lit candle back and forth under the twist to rid the split ends. It's called candling hair. And women have been doing it for a very long time.... but I'm pretty sure a main point was not to set the hair on fire.

KOBE 24: As a barber. I highly recommend y’all to NEVER do this. That is all.

Givensongs: Sad how desperate we can be to achieve another level of beauty even if it means possibly injuring ourselves! How absurd!

suzanne shulund: Yeah, this doesn’t surprise me one bit considering the whole fing world has lost it mind!!! Next week some fanatic fitness guru will introduce “how to get the flattest tummy you’ve always wanted” by laying down in front of a car and let it run over your tummy a couple times…

Electra Blazer: Boss: "Your FIRED!" Weird hairdresser: "Why?" Boss: "Because we have complaints that u burned alot of girls hair off and burned the back of ther necks and skin." Weird hairdresser: "I don't see the problem burning people for money.. Not to mention I Don't Know how to Use Scissors!."

blue eyed siren: As a licensed cosmetologist of over 20 years this is absolutely ridiculously stupid

Elizabeth Intinarelli: I have been telling people for years that the best haircut I ever had was the time my hair caught on fire !!! Lol

RB: You’ll get every wannabe stylist trying this and unfortunately you will see some devastating news on one of them….. “stylist can’t control fire on head” ‍♂️

UwU UvU boy: All fun in games till the whole head catches on fire

Chorrell Piqué: People have done candling for quite some time. However, this circus flamethrower act is NOT the way to go about combatting split ends lol

KaylaR517: If you’re gonna show something like this at least don’t repeat the same footage 20 times, we want to see results

Happy Mask Salesman: I’m not surprised that it ended up looking horrible at the end.

Jamayla Renea: i feel like he just burning more than the actual split ends

Paige: Hair burning is one of my most hated smells, I couldn't imagine the smell in this hair salon, I would die gagging ☠

Sandra H: I was in hairdressing many years ago, we did something similar to this but not so damaging. We twisted small sections of the hair, and then ran our fingers up the opposite way from the way we had twisted it, this made all the broken ends stick out, then we ran a lit candle down the length of the twisted section keeping it a bit of a distance under the hair so it didn't catch fire and the dead ends that stuck out would be sealed, it worked great but I guess you would have to have seen it done to understand how it worked, but it did.

beet rice: “He first saw it while growing up in the Philippines” Me, a Filipino, who has lived here all my life: where

Brandy Griffiss: Hell no! And the smell of burnt hair NEVER goes away, but at least she won't have split ends

Arianna Morris: When u straighten ur hair with a flat iron it as well seals in the split ends... it makes ur hair less frizzy and looks smoother. But I’m pretty sure we all know heat is bad for the hair

ARMY: hairdresser: **burns half her hair off** her: i- i just wanted to get rid of the split ends.. hairdresser: no more split ends tho her: but... my hair is burned.. hairdresser: yah but it’s burned TOGETHER.. it’s what you wanted.. trust me i learned it in the philippines

NekoKaren: Before setting her hair Ablaze

xXBeanieXx_: BET HE LEARNED THAT FROM 5 MINUTE CRAFTS

mediumraregirl: There's only one thing I've got to say about this: DONOT TRY THIS AT HOME

Natalie Ohlsson: I’ve been a hair stylist for nearly 25 years. This is FOOLISH.

bajanred: Inside Edition should be ashamed for calling this a story.

Starxlight: Imagine if he didn’t get all the knots out and lit the hair on fire and tried to comb it but it wouldn’t nudge and the client needed having there hair burned and damaged

BSmoove: I’m not an expert but hair, fire, and a plastic comb seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Sarah Gaston: This guy be like: how can I ruin a skill that humans have cultivated for millennia

evilmomo: I wouldn't want someone to set my hair on fire just to get rid of spilt ends

OFFICIALLY EPIC: Very unsafe....u can't put total trust in a complete strangers hands...especially using fire!! It only takes that 1 second for complete disaster.

Proud Conservative: Well I guess he never said he would make the hair look good he just said he would get rid of the split ends. And they prolly gone along with everything else

Doga121: Applying anti burn protective cream to the skin is already a warning sign “Look honey, it’s a safe technique BUT I’ll apply this all over your face and neck IN CASE something happens”

Emil Phoryew: Pfft! I wouldn't let anyone do that on my hair. This is a great way to get scarring alopecia if something goes wrong. I'd rather take my chances with the split ends.

Kay-Kay (Vineyard Chicks): I DO NOT want to do that with my hair. That looks scary.

Natahlia K: My aunty has been a professional hairdresser for 50 yrs. She always burned our split ends but NOT like that lol. She would section our hair, then twist it until the plot ends poke out. Then she'd quickly run a burning candle along the full length of hair to burn the split ends off ONLY lol.

inglorious_Machina: Then he'll send her home like "stay hydrated and be careful when using a hair dryer, you don't want HEAT DAMAGE"

Space Monkeys: This is insane!!! There is actually a method of sealing the ends of hair by singeing it, but you NEVER put the hair directly into the fire or light it on fire. You only hold a couple strands at a time near the flame. I believe it originated from the Victorian times. Still super risky though!

Priscilla Fairbrother: For anyone who's wondering From someone who has accidentally burned my hair while cooking on an open flame, no it does not strengthen ur hair by burning away "split ends"....the fire burns it till it's crunchy and falls off leaving behind a very brittle damaged end (while it's not split, it's going to)

Jay C: America, please stop and look at yourselves for a moment. We love you and worry about you.

Carlie Flowers: "but he hopes it catches... On here!" Based on her delivery, I don't think the reporter understood the pun that was written there for her

ThatsMySolstice: A stylist did this to my hair about 40 years ago in the states. It was a "trendy" salon thing to do but in no way were there FLAMES like I see here - I can't imagine insurance that would cover this if results were catastrophic. Also, the smell of burning hair would send most the other way right?

Drako Kamikaze: Lol. Why is he looking away yo the camera when the hair is on fire. He knows Damm well that fire burned to much. They they showed a different person at the end .

Mehek: I mean even without a fire, cutting off 6 inches would have definitely got her rid of the split ends.... Did I miss anything?

Sapphire Crystal: He doesn't know what he's doing. He almost burnt that lady neck off

Lilith the Firehawk: My girlfriend’s a cosmetologist and this made her so mad it ruined her mood for the whole day.

sheluvschoco: (Probably) Him: you have split ends from heat damage Also him: sets hair on fire to remove heat damaged spilt ends.

Jae Cee: I know she was sobbing on the inside the second she saw amounts of smoke coming from her hair

Qorry Prasetianingrum: *sniff..sniff.. I like the smell of burning hair. When I was a little, sometimes I burn a few strands of my hair just to smell it

Heather Patrick: If I were to go here and see this happen or I sat down and you set my hair on fire there would most definitely be a fight this makes no since to me especially since hair burns really fast

Michael Beary: Judging by the last scene, that looks like something that can get out of hand quick.

Stefania Pedrosi: This is insane Makes me feel like wanting to hit this sick fool! How could anyone even think of accepting to have her hair set on fire? Jesus it takes a few seconds for all of your hair to disappear Sickening

mmlee: For those times when you want to leave the salon with that "burned hair stink " in your clothes

Dragonflyy 000: My hair stylist would NEVER attempt that on one of her clients! One of these timez, there's going to be a VERY bad ending to this "trick". Why didnt he show us the very ending of how her hair turned out? Like a before & after????

linamarie: My hair caught on fire LOL my friend was doing my hair and used a hot comb lmao I didn't even smell the burning at first and then bam! I felt so bad she freaked out. We grew up since diapers together. My hair was always done by the preacher's wife and we didn't know any better. Still I lost a whole lotta hair

Gardenia: Well you can't have split ends if you're bald. I see no fault in his logic. ‍♀️

B B: This is very dangerous. I will never allows my hairdresser to do that on me

Creative Ideas by Me: Hey, it got him on "Inside Edition"! Can't wait to see what's next, maybe fire beard trimming !

Tanya Anthony: The look on his face when he realized too much hair caught fire

Kalia: He's the over the top fashion guy you always see a parody of in TV and movies.

SavageBeauty Ways: Heat damage causes split ends ....if that's not heat wtf is it

Vanessa Martinez: There's something called cutting hair USE IT instead of burning the split ends that can damage her hair heat is not good for hair and that is also very DANGEROUS

Jama Jama: Isn’t that just going to cause extremely uneven hair? I don’t understand the logic behind this. Like he burns it and it’s just magically a good haircut? I mean he’s gotta have to go in with a scissors after to make it even right? So it defeats the whole purpose

Anna Morrow: Personally I don’t think I would ever do that but it’s so cool to watch

Ale_xXx_andra: You can literally see new split ends being created in seconds

Katie 131: Yea he started combing a bit faster when the flame got higher though didn't he

Y C: Yes this is normal in the old days! This was practice in the old old days!

Krisha San: As a child, I removed some of those thick frizzy curly hair (I believed that they made my head itch haha) then set it on fire idk wat I'm doing that time haha

Jk 1997: This is ridiculous!! Isn’t this more damaging? You should’ve just let the split ends ‍♀️ how did she even agree

Kay A.: I thought he was so mad to see those split ends that he got angry and set her hair on fire, like hair stylist with high standard thinking her hair is disgrace to humanity jaja

S t o r m y A n x i e t y: Everyones gangsta until a huge knot appears and he can't get the comb through the hair‍♀️

Hitlerdon💩🚼: So many ways to create and or recreate stupid! Think about it, if a hair dryer, or curling iron burns and ruins hair, then isn't it conceiveable that fire would cause irreparable damage?

CJ_Yessir: Lmao she must have had a lot of trust in that person cutting her hair

Jewel Haines: There is NO WAY I'm letting ANYONE light my Hair on fire! It didn't look very good to me!!

Marita Nicole: The fact that she let him do this

Mr. NotSoCreative: Burning hair is possibly one of the worst smells on earth. I can’t even imagine what his store smells like

Jiggly Jiggly Wussy Bussy Pussy: He’s going to be surprised when he gets 20 lawsuits from girls burnt hair

Randonium TJ: Imagine him lighting the hair and then getting distracted in a call ...

Korinna Beckenbauer: Fun fact: this technique was popular in the Victorian era for a very short while until people realized how stupid it is. Let's leave this one in the past

Jae: Best way to get heat damage Issa no for my curly hair

Jc JA: The smell must be disgusting. Turned on a blunt once and burnt my beard a little and couldn't take that smell. What next? Burn my pubes salon?

jonChao chao: it has been three years since this video was out, i bet the hairstylist is probably in jail by now from so many law suits

Steve Lamb: if he cuts the hair after he burns it then he is just cutting off the so called sealed end anyway. this is nothing more than a publicity stunt. yes I am a qualified hairdresser also.

Monastery in Tibet: He seemed so unprepared he just wanted a gimmick

Nashley Campomanes: *”He first saw it while growing up in the Philippines”* Me who lives in the Philippines: Did he invent another Philippines? Or he just got lost
