Tapreena wants to know exactly how to get african american hair because everyone is always saying this or that and at this point of frustration with damaged hair, maybe being bald won't be so complicated!

Hair Tip #1 Condition Your Hair Frequently

Use quality hair care products that are focused on conditioning when taking care of your hair. If you need help finding your best hair care products, refer to my book The Black Hair Manual!

Hair Tip #2 Trim Damaged Ends When Needed

Damaged ends will cause you to lose more and more length overtime and it will seem as though your hair isn't growing because you aren't able to retain length. Only trim the ends of your hair with hair cutting shears or consult with a professional in your area who can offer this service to you.

Hair Tip #3 Go Heat Free Until Your Hair Is Healthy

Do not use heat at all if you want your most healthy hair but you can use heat if it is used infrequently. If you need help developing a regimen on caring for your hair, refer to my book The Natural Hair Bible

Hello, everyone. This is Breanna Rutter, author of one of my most popular books, the natural hair Bible and founder of howtoblackhair.com. For these videos. I answer the questions you all send me via email, so any of you have any questions you would like for me to answer. Be sure to check out the description box below for more information, so now we're going to break this video, and this video is because of an email I received from Tabrina Tabrina says that she does not know what it takes to keep her African-American hair, healthy and She'S been hearing this and that up in the left and right all types of information about what to do. She is super confused, she's, tired of dealing with damaged hair and she needs some answers so Tabrina. Thank you for your email and I'm going to tell you the key things they need to do to keep your hair healthy, not going to fill you with a whole bunch of this whole bunch of that. It'S a very simple concept about how to keep your hair healthy, and I am going to tell you how so the very first thing you want to do is make sure you keep your hair conditioned. You do this by using quality, hair conditioners, quality, moisturizers quality products to make sure that you can actually keep your hair conditioned. If you want more information about what kind of products to use on your hair, I've done a book called the black hair manual. That teaches you step-by-step, what to look for for your specific type of hair and what kind of ingredients to avoid when you are looking for products to help you with keeping your hair conditioned and healthy. The second tip goes for pretty much. Everyone is that you have to keep your ends, trimmed you have to keep them trimmed by making sure that you keep away damage such as single-strand knots and incomplete splits. Frayed ends damaged ends on even if your hair is very porous. You will notice that you have to keep your ends, trimmed because they get very dry. So it is very important that you keep the ends, trimmed off your hair, because if your hair is constantly splitting and breaking at the ends, you will notice that it seems as if your hair is a growing. But your hair is going from. The scope is just that the ends are damaged. Your hair is breaking off as fast as your hair is growing so number one. Keep your hair conditioned number two keep your ends, trimmed my final tip, something that really stuck out to me when you said that your is constantly suffering from damage is probably with the fact, depending on the type of tools or the amount of heat you're using on Your hair so totally eliminate heat from your regimen or barely use heat. I barely use heat to keep my hair healthy. I only use a blow dryer and the tension method to help me to dry, my hair, so that I can braid a lot more easier. My hair shrinks a lot so when it does dry and it's not a more of a stretched state, it takes more effort to comb through my hair. So if you barely use heat or just don't use heat at all of these things, combine is going. To put you on track for healthy hair, so number one keep your hair conditioned number two make sure keep your ends: trimmed, f and ree of damage. So you can actually start to gain length and number three limit, your heat usage or minimize it, and if you want more step-by-step thorough instructions on exactly what kind of regiment to implement for your certain type of hair. On a detail about that in my book, the natural hair Bible. So if you want to know more information check out the description box and find what you need, what you want to start implementing with your hair, but these three key things is going to get your hair back healthy. So, thanks to you for your email, no fluff whatsoever, it's very simple: how to actually keep your hair healthy, but is going to take a lot of patience and a lot of constantly doing the right thing to get the results you want. Thank you and thank you all for watching this video, I'm so glad to help, and I hope you have learned a lot from this - is well so check out description box. If you want to know more and then for the next time, I will catch you out in my next video

Faith Andrea: Can you pls make a video of you cutting your hair so I can see how the dead end looks like? Cuz I really don't know were to stop when I do that .

Sharlisia Simpson: Hey how you keep your hair grow and yeah help

Tmarie2u: I don't have a set trim time. I try and repair where possible HOWEVER if the damaged ends are costing me other hair then they have to go......  Now. Like single strand knots have you noticed you Never have one in a section? There's Almost Always 2 or 3. And you can tell when you have some in a section because of how it detangles it's like .............like in winter when your hands are chapped and you run your hand over silk it catches. The sections of hair with knots in them are like that. It's just my feeling but I think those knots are doing more damage than just to that strand but also to the hair in the section once I start to manipulate it even if I manage to avoid a large tangle. So I try to Avoid them at all cost and snip them out whenever I find them.
