I am the owner of (Irene's Braids) located in Duluth, GA. I'm always accepting new clients. I work out of my own private Salon Suite.

Hi guys it's irene sprays and i am back with another video i'm going to do a quick, um kids tutorial we're pretty much doing like knotless, braids and then kind of scalp braids in the front. But i want to just start off showing you what kind of tools i'll be using today. Don'T forget! You can order your irene sprays, precision combs by clicking the link in the description box and also you can buy your irene's braids, the hair bonnet cap to protect your hair at night. This is a very doable cap. It stays on while you're sleeping and it's silk. So if you would like to purchase that you can you do so by using the link in the bio all right, so i'm gon na do knotless braids in the back of her hair um. She has very, very thick hair um. It'S a lot to deal with. In my opinion, i find myself getting pretty tired very quickly when i do my oldest hair, but it has to get done, as you guys all know, i'm currently eight months pregnant, so i'm trying to find styles. That will be quick to do where i won't have to put too much effort into them, but then also have my children's hair done for school purposes. That way, they're not looking crazy online, while they're doing their homework or you know doing their zooms with their teachers. So i'm trying to keep them up to date and keep the hair looking. You know nice, so i'm going to be doing large, knotless braids in the back and then i've parted out um two rows in the front just to do two scalp braids, going down towards the front of her face so you'll get to see me do that as Well, all right, so i'm going to just continue parting and then i'll show you um how to add your knotless braid, but i want to show you something here. You see i'm offsetting my part away from her middle part. As far as the back of her head, i'm doing that on purpose, because i don't like for the braids to be on top of one another. I think it's best when the braids fall in between one another. So you want to always offset your parts, so that way, you don't have to worry about the braids stacking on top of one another. So make sure you don't part right above another part, always part on the opposite side or a little bit of ways away from the other part that you're. So i went ahead and split up her hair into three sections, i'm using my right hand. By pulling my index finger and thumb through her hair and i'm going to latch on the piece of extension, braiding hair in between my index and thumb finger, i'm going to pull down the top layer of her natural hair and bring it down to braid it into A knotless braid and i will continue to keep doing that until i start to be braid underhand and then once i'm underhand. I will feed in more pieces of braiding hair and the same amount of consistency that i'm looking for so pretty much. If you're going for a smaller knotless braid, then you want to use a smaller piece of braiding hair. If you're going for a more medium-sized braid, you want to stick with that same size, piece of braiding hair throughout the whole entire head. Now her hair is much fuller, her natural hair, so i didn't go for too big of a piece because she has a lot of hair already and it helps me fill in the braid, nice and neatly. So you won't see me using too many pieces because her hair is already full. She doesn't need to have too much um too much braiding hair okay. So if you, if your child's hair, is much thinner, then you know add a couple more pieces to kind of thicken it up that way. It can fill in nicely in between the braids as they fall down all right. Let'S continue watching okay guys, so i've already started the right side of her head. So i'm going to go ahead and use the left side for more of a clear, detailed view. I went ahead and used my index finger to kind of part through her natural hair. I'M using my index finger to hold the piece of braiding hair and i'm going to go ahead and keep braiding it through her natural hair until it's time to add another piece and i'll continue to keep doing that until i get to the braid size that i'm Looking for so, i will say when you're using the edge wax, it doesn't work well on all hair textures in their hair type. So it may seem to you that her hair isn't clean in the front, but it definitely is that white product that you're seeing there is definitely um hair product. It'S not dandruff or her hair being dirty. I have to keep remembering that her hair does not do well with murray's edge wax, so i have to stay away from that and just use the shiny jam only when braiding her hair, so we'll continue to keep watching this. As i continue to braid down my feet and braids, okay, let's continue watching do so. What i'm doing here is i'm using my scissors to kind of razor off any excess hair that we do not need, because if you don't, then the braids will be longer than the length that you're trying to achieve so figure out what length you want for you. You and your child um and then you'll just raise off what you don't want. So i'm going to go ahead and use these wooden beads to add, add on to her hair for her look, she's um she's not really into the color for once, like her younger sister, is so gave her more of a african. You know printed shape, beads they're kind of cute. I love them a lot they're wooden and then you want to use some small rubber bands. So i'm going to go ahead and show you that i've already done majority of her hair where pretty much all of it. I'M going to go ahead and use my bobby pin and i'm going to add three beads on there and the reason why i'm doing the bobby pin is because i did not buy a stick holder and i normally add them on by hand only. But it was very, very hard to get them in by hand. So i had to use my thinking cap and so i use a bobby pin. So what you're going to do is stick the braid in by bending the hair and then stick it in through the bobby pin and then once you get it in pull the hair through hold on to it and then start with the bottom part where the beads Um, where the beads are and push them up like a push pop push them up pop boom, there you go and then you're going to bend the hair once you level it make sure it's leveling up. It'S matched to the length that you're looking for bend. The hair back and then add the rubber band into the crease of where the beads would fall and then just wrap keep wrapping until it's nice and secure and then once you do that, go ahead and take off all that excess hair that you don't need. Um around the bead anymore and then um i'm going to go ahead and dip her hair into hot water, but i won't make it scorching hot. Please don't because the beads are already on here, make it just hot enough to dip the hair, make sure it's not itching her back and then also it can relax the braids. It makes the braids more movable and that's what you'll see me do off camera. Well, you will not get to see me. Do it actually so i'll be doing that off camera, i'm just pulling a hot pot of water, adding the hot water into a coffee cup, and then i use the coffee cup to dip the hair. So it's going to be up to you mind you! I have to improvise you guys, i'm at home, doing my children's hair versus in my salon, so i'm improvising i'm doing this. The best way, i can to show you how to do the do these looks so this style is pretty much easy. Took me under an hour and 45 minutes to finish this. It wasn't long at all and mind you guys i do braids for a living. So the timing that it takes me to do these styles - probably won't take. You know to probably take longer for you if you're, not a braider, but it doesn't take long for me because i do it every single day. So all right guys - i will see you next week for another video
