My hair is short and curly and I know there are not a lot of styles I can do that is simple and easy and don't take a lot of time to accomplish. But with a little creativity, I put my 3 favs together that are super easy and you can make the styles casual and laid back or dress it up with some hair jewels and other hair accessories. Hi guys and welcome back to my channel thanks so much for tuning in for another video. If you are new to my channel, welcome and don't forget to subscribe, if you're already subscribed welcome back in today's video, I want to be sharing with you guys, a short tutorial of three protective hairstyles. These are three of my favorite protective hairstyles and I'm just gon na. Let you know right up front. I am NOT the best braver or Twister. I am NOT an expert whatsoever, I'm getting the hang of doing the flat twist really well. So that's pretty much. What all these styles are gon na be they're gon na be flat twist styles. So please don't come for me in the comments. I know I'm not the best twister. I know my parts are probably crooked and I know there's a lot of natural girls out there. That don't know how to braid period, so I'm trying it and I'm pushing myself and I'm practicing and practicing and trying to get better and better at it. So just bear with me. Please just bear with me and don't laugh, you know I'm just I'm trying, but again I'm just showing you the gist of it and then you can take it and run with it. So yeah, you have short to medium hair and you just been having trouble trying to find some hairstyles that you can do protective hairstyles. Then I think this videos for you, but these are just my Styles. You know these are just what I have been practicing on. Just to try to find something, I've been looking online and trying to find some things and create some things that I can wear out or from going out casual. The only items I'll be using for this video will be my water. I have some warm water in here. I have from eating bottom works, their hydration serum, which is absolutely amazing. On my hair and also from Eden, Body Works I'll be using their hydration custard and then just for my stylers, I got my eco styler gel and I also have my ors edge control. I have the original and I have the one - that's infused with sweet almond oil and I have some bobby pins that I'll be using to pin everything down, I'm tired of blabbering, so we're going to go ahead and get on this video. So without further ado, let's get started. Protective styling is very important because it helps reduce ongoing manipulation of your hair. Encourages growth retention protects the ends of your hair strands that also reduces knots and tangles. Protective styling is a must in my natural hair, routine, to get started. What'S down number one I'll be making a side part and sectioning my hair off into two parts, I'm going to flat twist both sides down band to the ends of the night and secure with a bobby pin for the back portion of my hair. I'M going to section it off in four parts, also flat twisting my hair down band join the ends of my hair and secure in there with bobby pins. I don't know if you notice in this clip, but something looks a little different. As you can see the plant on the little stand behind me is gone as well. As my light, my tree in the back is not lit, and that's because I shot this clip for a second time. I originally did one hairstyle and I didn't like it so I'll reshot it again you doing a different style. So that's why it looks a little different in this video compared to the last value just saw for style number two is going to be very similar to style number one. As far as the front portion of my hair, the only difference is going to be the back portion of my hair. Instead of sectioning, my hair off into four parts I'll be sectioning, my hair off into two parts, and I'm just going to take the ends of both of those flat twists and just bring them together and connect them with bobby pins. This style will have a more rounded look in the back for style number. Three, I'm going to section my hair off in two parts for the top portion of my hair. I want to flat twist both sides up halfway for the remainder of the hair. That'S left out, I'm just going to do a twist out once it's all twisted out. I'M gon na pull all the twists up slightly twist the ends and I'm just going to bring it straight down in the center of the bond securing it with a bobby pin. The back portion of my hair is just gon na, be a messy chunky twist out. I'M just gon na twist, all of my hair going to the side for the end of my hair. That'S left out, I'm just going to twist that out do a bantu knot and secure with a bobby pin. So this concludes the video. I hope you guys enjoyed these three protective hairstyles for short-to-medium live hair hope you guys enjoyed it. It was definitely harder trying to film this on camera, as opposed to me just doing this in the mirror. So trying to you know, make sure I'm in the camera shot and I've got mirrors on both sides of me. Well, it's a little difficult, so it took longer than normal, but on an any other given day, I would have one just flown through these hairstyles.
