20 22 hair trends that will be huge and 20 21 trends that are going away. Welcome back to my channel today, i'd like to share with you the hottest trending hairstyles, and also trends that are fading away in 2022. The pixie is going to continue in popularity. Recently, a new hybrid haircut has been emerging. It'S a cross between last year's textured bob and pixie, more textured than a bob, but longer than a pixie. What will be fading away? Is the flipped out bob this highly stylized bob had its moment, but now we're moved on this year's tool of the year is going back to the blow dryer over the curling iron big volume, blowout soft waves with a high shine. It gives a polished appearance and a more professional look. What is out is the full length retro 1970s shag. It was big in 2020 and 2021, the messy long layers of the retro 70s bohemian look and the textures of the shag cut will be seen less this year as the style morphs into a more sleek and shiny look and for the animal cut of the year. In 2022, the animal cut of the year goes to the octopus cut this shiny, layered medium length. Haircut is the go-to this year, its layers are sculpted in such a way to provide volume onto the top, and a gentle flow toward thin soft layers. What'S out is the wolf cut in 2021, the wolf cut had replaced the modern shag with an edgier mullet. Look this year the jagged wild look is replaced by hair. That looks fluid in addition to haircut trends. There are also color trends. 2022 will bring with it. Some more natural colors that are combined with bright colors all about brown, 20 22 is all about trying to look natural with soft cool browns. These colors include midnight, brunette and caramel. Even last year's hot copper will get a toned down, look to a more strawberry color. What'S out is the hot copper popularized last year with a netflix show the queen's gambit. This hot copper color was a hit in 2021. Some people want to pop a color and excitement in their hair. In 2022, this may be vivid, pink overlays. One of the most notable combinations this year will be the midnight brown roots with raspberry or cherry pink ends. What'S out is the hidden rainbow color rainbow hair was widely popular for a few years. This trend has seen all sorts of variations and ran its full course. I expect not to see much of this trend in 2022. Hair will always be in and in 2022 we will be seeing a lot of mushroom blonde. This is a cool to neutral blonde, with cool lowlights. It is softer and darker than the blonde of last year. What'S out is winter white as hot as the icy white hair trend has been keeping up with all that bleaching has been damaging, hair and causing breakage? What'S also in is undyed hair. The natural silver hair trend is still going strong with no sign of stopping. Do you agree with my list? What do you think about the upcoming trends in 2022? Leave your opinions in the comments below be sure to subscribe for all the latest updates and hairstyle and lifestyle trends.

Michie Robins: I say just do what you luv. Set ur own trend.

Leanne Clark: I went grey 2 years ago and it's honestly the best decision I ever made!! My hair is softer and curler than it's ever been. I get asked at least 2x per week where I got my hair done and when I tell them it's natural, they don't believe me. #NaturalIsTheWayToGo

Louise Alain: I agree that going natural grey/silver/white hair is still going strong. I’m 22 months in and have a few inches of blond left and will wait until spring for a cut as I want to keep my length. Hope to see more videos soon

Marina Martinez: Glad to see a return to more natural colors. As a natural gray girl I hope that trend never goes away.

Lady Justice: I've learned over the years, that I prefer to be my own trend, instead of following someone else's idea of what hair cut and color I should have. My attitude extends to fashion as well.

Teresa Valdez: WOW!! It’s great to know the undyed “silver trend” is still a thing for 2022! I’m on my “silver journey” now….post-4.5 months no dye or touch up. I was tempted to dye it!!! Now I thinking I’m going to just get a “Bixie” and see how I like my salt/pepper look first. Thanks for the video!!! ‍♀️

CLINE RANDALEE: I just think a person has to do what they like best for themselves. If it goes nicely with your flesh tone and face shape, go for it> All of the hair styles and colors in the video were great except, in my opinion, the one new shag that looks just like Florence Henderson's from the 1960's in the show, The Brady Bunch. I never thought that a becoming look.

SandiLand: I do agree with more natural color grow out. I started doing the same with my hair. No more base color .. just highlights to blend in with my natural color of dishwater blonde and gray growing naturally. Cut to just past shoulders. Definitely a more natural, easy to take care of hair trend for me.

Zer0rchestra: I always watch these videos for fun. This year, I will be getting a super long shag with charcoal grey hair and pops of vivid colours around the ear and underside... so basically everything that isn't "trending". When it comes to "style" I always say, do what makes you feel good when it makes you feel good because that's all that matters. It's just hair, you're not harming anyone else.

donna yeager: I quit coloring two years ago and have never regretted it. I was a brunette, now I am silvery blonde, get tons of compliments!

Marie McGrath: I'm for the undyed look, I love how my grey in blending in. Costs nothing & looks healthy.

J St Anders: I'm so wanting a fresh new lock, loving the mushroom blonde. Think I may go for it. Thanks

Drop of Golden Tarot: I started letting my silver show 8 months ago, not sure it matters if it's in or out of style.. but I'm liking the sparkle!

Debbi Meyers Brant: I just got my hair professionally done for the first time I'll be 59 and they did the dark brown because that matches my roots and the caramel and it is absolutely beautiful

bsteadfast: I stopped dying my hair 2 &1/2 years ago. I'm 60 now and have thick brunette hair with just a few strands of gray coming in...it works for me.

Kym S: My hair is natural blond going silver evenly & I'm leaving it and loving it. My fair skin & grey blue eyes suit the silver perfectly, its funny I had to go grey before I actually liked my hair colour.

D. Durham: Small note.. what you’re calling the “octopus”, was known as a “long shag” in the late 60’s early 70’s.. lived it, know it well!

Fran Bihary: Totally disagree. Gotta go with whatever style suits your face, head shape and hair texture. Much more important than dictating what's in and whats out.. Hair style is like fashion. Despite trends, you still have to work with your body type, height and size. Right?????

Paige S: I’ve had pink overdyed brunette hair since before the pandemic. I’m a trend setter!

No Way: Air Touch highlights blending unnatural and natural colors are trending hard in SW Florida. Look out for intentionally hard demarcations in color starting with gradients that are lighter at the top and more colorful through the ends. Genia Church’s “Fire and Ice” collection from the NAHA awards is a good example for trend setters. #ClubKidRetro

Jasmine Peach: I’ll keep rockin’ whatever I like.. I don’t care what’s in or out.

Susan Huber: I had every color you can think of,blue, red pink, light pink, dark pink, electric blue,etc..... about 7 or 8 months ago I want to go with my natural haircolor which is grey. I LOVE IT!!! No more bleach!!!! My hairdresser is not happy, cause he now has drawers full of my different haircolors! He keeps trying to talk me into coloring again, however this time I sticking with my natural grey‍

Aunty Linda: Woohoo! Silver hair still in! X

Rebba Gal: The secret is in a great cut…while naturally letting the natural silver out

Theresa Bennett: Love! The natural brown with highlights. Yesssss! Great idea's.

Susan Wale: Loved your updates specially because my hair is naturally grey with light and darker highlights, I love it . Thanks

Type1Dmama: Yahoo! I have natural mushroom brown/blonde hair, undyed with my own silver! Guess I’m in style

Linda K: WooHoo! I have trendy hair & I didn’t even know it (or care!) go the un-dyed silver/white/grey!

TK W: Makes me happy because I've decided to stop dying. Toning? Yes!! But I'm letting it be otherwise. I'm so over 8 week dye jobs.

Take Down: I hope that natural silver/white hair isn’t going out cuz I’ve been letting my natural white grow out for a year now and am going to have the dyed brown ends cut off in a few months.

loheotbu: I’m icy white all on my own, and more so with each trim on my pixie cut.

Susan Wale: Love it because I have undied hair and I love my high and lowlights.

Susan Carver: Whew... Glad silver is still in, for I'm not doing my hair again.

Swamp Angel: Let my silver grow while it was in style I love it and wear it in long layers❤

MJ Lamborn: I find naming haircuts after animals hilarious. It's so good to not take things to seriously when it comes to hair.

Jeanelle Matthews: My favorite is the natural hair. Especially since I don't color my hair because of allergies. Luckily I only have a few strands of silver white hair at 58 yrs of age.

Slavi Славица: I've literally never seen the octopus and the wolf cut on anyone.

Leta Robinson: Cherry and chocolate just go together. I think it will trend strong because anyone can do it and communicate it differently.

Melissa At Home 💕🤩: Yes I agree with the brown shades n pixie long that’s how I want my hair color n style

Victoria Carpenter: I don't have to dye my hair it is full silver/white naturally... I just wash it with a purple shampoo....

Stephanie Crothers: I love all the mentioned trends but PLEASE make the Mullet go away!! Some things are best left in the past.

Butterfly 44: My hair has faded out red but I'm wanting more natural so now I'm just gonna keep it red only on the faded areas cause I haven't seen my natural hair in 35 yrs probably lol yup naturals in since everything is going up gotta say perfect timing

Karen Acton: Crap….I never knew 3/4’s of these cuts even existed, never mind the new trends! Just do what you like, stop being trendsetters only to have them disappear the next year.

Southern Grits: Do what you Love !! Be your yourself

Kai Vickers: So what are you supposed to do if your natural hair is hot copper?

Beth Bartlett: The Pink is overly undesirable, I most can't get past a "Clowndish High School Valley Girl" statement, Bubblegum if you will. Colors that aren't in a natural color pallet are a temporary stage statement, they offer individualism for the young spirit looking for their purpose, and when they are a "trend", that individualism is lost, leaving a copy-the-trend statement and it lacks any real purpose. If one just really desires the Pink Hair, I would encourage they make it their individual brand by applying a fade to Pink effect. Using a deep brunette with a slight red-maroon (more to a natural color) use 3 - 5 shades vertically, Crown and back the darkest and arriving at the front with the lighter shade. A sunrise toward the fade from dark to light, giving a bit more natural and Higher Class Professional Color Expert outcome. However, the natural color pallet will always be the mature and classy hair option, and it can stretch to a shade(s) with the reds, red-maroon, burgundy,, giving hints of colors without chunks if obvious fake. Even blondes that have a Medium Ash Blonde base, can weave in a trio if red based colors. The statement by a style or beauty magazine article is little value of true Style, and "Trend" is most definitive of Temporary, expect it on the Sale Rack by Fall and on the "Out of Style List" by Winter Season. Trends overwhelmingly just lack the real Style Statement.

Eszter Reilly: Yahoo for silver hair trend....I'm 62 so glad not to add chemical dyes

Beverly Angermeier: I need something that brings full ess to my hair as I have very thin hair so I need alot of fullness to my hair also I want a haircut that makes me look alot younger

Nicola Douglas: I'm happy with my Kate Bush hair thanks !!!

PaMeLa13: You are Spot on!

2shadowcats2: I already have the Octopus hair due to breakage from a little bleach "mishap"((whoops))

elsa Grace: I am just becoming aware of the trends that you say are out. I didn’t even get to try them and they are out? WTH? What major urban center are you located in?

Jacqueline Holona: Love the new ins Tysm it help I wish you would help those worh thin fine hair

Gloria Hohman: I like the new trends.

Joanne Williams: silver hair is a definite! long flows.

Heather: The Octopus... Known 25 years ago as The Rachel lol

Christine Hutchins: Is anyone out there my age 58, or older, who has no noticeable grays? My mom is going to be 84 and still has salt and pepper hair! More pepper than salt lol.she is Portuguese. I'm half.

Sabine Kreuz: about the blohde I totally agree.

Debra Childers: No w a y I can stop dying my hair or just dye it gray. Having black hair like my native American ancestors was great when I 2as younger but now that black dye looks awful as we age. Losing my mind trying to find a color that looks natural

Rebba Gal: Been so free since 2016 No colors need here I get so many complaints as to where I got my silver hombre…lol

Sandy Sivits: Love my silver.

Teresa Angelena: Both “ animal” cuts are awful! Yick

Andrea oldfield: Interesting! I’m grey however the mushrooms blond is nice and so is the hot pink! Mmmmmm

Caren Burmeister: Go grey!!

Sinjin Monsoon: Well it looks like I'm " in" yippee

Karen Trudeau: What about curly haired girls?

MJ Lamborn: Very good

Tosha Rae: 100

Joey Kruger: Who has short hair?

Anna: Well hmmm. My natural hair is white.

Tracy Seal: Nothing new there are only so many haircuts

Dream Girl: Blonde is boring. Everyone is blonde. Be different

stargwynn1: The octopus is so dated and ugly

Sara Rossborough-Muhammad: Undyed hair looks disheveled and scruffy and ages the individual. Grey is not good.
