This is a hair tutorial on how to do an up-do on medium length hair. Curls are secured with bobby pins and the ends are left out for a soft and wispy look.

These are the results from our updo. As you can see, we got it all up and nice loose curls hi, I'm Tammy and today we're going to be doing an updo, I'm going to be working with shoulder-length here, we're gon na be putting it all up in curls, and you have some pieces hanging Out and it should be really cute so we're just gon na curl, her fall had I've already started from here down I'm going to use my hat tools: curling iron, it's a one-inch, curling iron am using Paul Mitchell cut off the press before we curl we're going To use the hot off the press - and this is going to protect the hair from the heat I'm just gon na - go through her all have and curl it we're not looking to get it some perfect or anything. I just want to get a bend in there. So I can do my hat too so now I'm done curling your hair. We just did some loose curls in there to be doing the up two back here, I'm not looking to have it up high and I'm not looking for low I'm sort of looking somewhere in the middle. I'M gon na section some of these front pieces out of the way and we're going to work them back into it, but first we're going to focus on this this area here, so we're going to add some teasing in underneath teasing is so important. That'S what's kind of hold the updo, you don't tease it's just not going to stay teasing doesn't have to show you tease it underneath or smooths it out with those she'll, it's good to work with a little aerosol hairspray, I'm actually working with the generic shaper Sebastian. Hair spray and I'm gon na - take this and make a nice big curl out of it. Pin it up here, so it's a little higher crisscross, your bobby pins, so they stay. And now this is going to be kind of flowing out and I'm just going to wrap this up just so, it's like a loose girl like that and that's going to sort of be my center point. I'M just gon na be moving things up into here. Pin it underneath and then I'm gon na just loop it a little bit but leave that out. I'M just gon na keep working everything back into that. That first piece I made first I'm going to pin it then I'm gon na I'm doing. I was I'm actually securing it in a curl here and then letting that fall out. We'Re just going to pin this section on like this, and if you can try to connect it with other bobby pins within what you've already done, because locking your bobby pins in with other rabid fans, definitely helps. This might be a little. I want to keep a little heights up in here, so just before you pin it, you can just kind of push it forward a little you want to go flat on their head. These are the results from our updo. As you can see, we got it all up and nice loose curls, but it's nice and secure underneath with bobby pins. So that's it.
