Undo hairstyles can be used for so many occasions whether it be work, a party, a wedding, prom, homecoming, or even just a nice date night out. This undo is no exception but I can imagine it being used as a beautiful prom hairstyle! It would work especially well as a prom hairstyle for long hair or a prom hairstyle for medium hair. It wouldn't work well for a prom hairstyle for short hair.

What do you like to wear for your prom hair? Do you look on Youtube for ideas for your prom hair and makeup? If so, I hope this Stacked Fishtail Undo will help you!

To see your own photo recreations of this style featured in our app, feel free to tag your photos on IG with: #CGHStackedFishtailUpdo

Begin this undo hairstyle by taking a medium section off your top part and separating it into two smaller sections. Make sure to leave a little hair near the front of your head for later.

Begin a dutch fishtail braid adding in new hair near the top and then only using that hair near the bottom. Secure with an elastic.

Now go back and pick up the hair near the front of your face. Divide it into three sections and create a dutch braid near your face and then continue a regular braid at the bottom. Secure with an elastic.

Pull all the loose hair from the other side of your head back and gather all hair except the small dutch braid into a ponytail near the nape of your neck. Pancake the fishtail as needed.

Take the dutch braid and run it along the top of the fishtail braid and use bobby pins to attach it and create a stacked look. Secure the dutch braid to the hair with a clear elastic. Only pull the hair through halfway the second time. Take a section from the top of the loop and use a bobby pin to secure it and create a nice bun shape. Repeat on the bottom until you have a perfect bun.

( upbeat music, ), Hey everyone, I'm Jordan from Braids By Jordan and today I'm going to be showing you how to do a stacked, braid updo.. If you haven't already subscribed to Cute Girls, Hairstyles make sure to hit the subscribe button and give this video a big thumbs up.. So let's get started. For this style. I started off with my hair parted to one side and then took a section of hair from the heavy side and moved it out of the way.. Take a section of hair from the front of the head and divide it into two equal pieces.. Take a small piece of hair from the outside of the top piece and cross it under and add into the inside to the bottom. Piece. Then repeat that with the bottom section so take a small piece of hair from the outside of the bottom piece and cross. It under and into the inside of the top piece. And we're going to repeat that again, except this time, we're gon na add in a small new section of hair.. So take a small piece from the outside of the top piece. Add in a small section of new hair and cross them both under and into the inside of the bottom piece., Then repeat those steps with the bottom piece so take a small piece from the outside of the bottom piece. Add in a small new section of hair and cross them both under and into the inside of the top piece., Then repeat those steps to create a dutch fishtail braid. Every so often go back and pancake the braid. By pulling gently on the edges to give the braid more volume., Once the braid reaches the ear, stop adding in new hair and continue a regular fishtail braid for a few extra stitches. Secure the braid with a clear baby elastic. Take the section of hair. We left out at the beginning and divide it into three equal pieces to start a regular three-strand, braid. Braid. It all the way down and then secure the end of the braid with a clear baby elastic.. Then I went back and gently stretched out the braid with my fingers., Then pull the remaining hair into a side ponytail, including only the fishtail braid., Remove the extra elastic from the fishtail braid and go back and adjust the pancaking. If needed. Take the braid and pin it along the center of the fishtail., Secure the braid to the ponytail with a clear baby elastic and then remove the extra elastic from the braid., Take a small elastic and wrap it halfway around the ponytail to make a loop.. Take a section from the top of the loop and pull it to one side and secure it with bobby pins.. I like to cross two bobby pins to keep it secure. Then take a section from below the first one and pull it to the opposite side and then secure it with bobby pins.. Then take the bottom piece from the loop and pull it back to the same side as the first one and secure it with bobby pins., Adjust any of the pieces with bobby pins. If necessary. Take the remaining hair and split it into two., Take one of the sections and twist it up and around the bun. Pull on the edges of the twist to give it more volume and then secure it to the bun with bobby pins.. Repeat with the remaining section and wrap it around in the opposite, direction. And that's it., I hope you guys like this hairstyle and if you did make sure to give it a thumbs. Up.. If you wan na see my last tutorial, you can click the link here.
