Hi, I'm Stuart Phillips and welcome to my youtube channel I'd like to introduce you to my team of fabulous makeup, artists and hairdressers. We'Re gon na help make these beautiful girls behind they look even more beautiful hi. My name is Karen Ann, and this is my model. Steph, I'm going to be doing nice, people luscious, curls, hello. My name is Laura Clark. This is my model, Maria and I'm working with lots of ponytails and structure today to create a huge silhouette. I'M here with my model Elisabetta and I'm about to create a high ponytail to about the crown level, create a nice quiff and add some extra hair to make you look very long, quite simple. To do but very effective takes it quite a few strokes of the brush to get this looking perfect, but once you get it in place where you want the ponytail to be then obviously you're going to put the cover band in, I want to do it quite High on this look, it will give quite a fashionable look at the moment, so I'm doing the the the ponytail right, the crown area, a good little trick to make the ponytail a little bit tighter is once you put the uncovered band in. There is with a brush, keep brushing up and then with a grip grip just underneath here and then with the fingers, push the grip higher up to the actual ponytail, and this will be hidden anyway. At the end, by the false hair that I'm going to wrap around it, I'm about to add some natural hair in terms of ITA's ponytail gon na wrap it round and then grip it in gon na build on that a few times just so, you get a Little bit more thickness with it and a little bit more length, and then you need to grip it in to the underneath part of the actual ponytail. Once you actually place your first weft on there they're quite wide to start with. So I just roughly guess the length so I pre-cut one here before, which is a couple of inches wide, so I'm going to place another one of these wets now around the base of the ponytail I've now ground, all the false hair into an abyss of ITA's Ponytail and I'm going to start back home in now to create a lot more fullness, I'm using a backcombing brush here, start at the back and take small sections working towards the front part of the ponytail. Now I back comb all the hair, I'm going to start to smooth it out, so I want to keep the bulk as much as I can so very gently the backcombing brush. I start to smooth over the answer layers of the hair, so I'm gon na start putting the equipment there now same way that I want backhoes ponytail. We did the same thing with the front gon na stop a piece of hair closest to me back comb at and work towards the front of the hair, and then, when you make the clip itself, it's up to you how you create the shape that you kinda Need a mirror to look in it's easier and you either press it fault that be quick here and then in the mirror. When you get to see a shape that you like, you, then just rip it apart behind it here there or if it has too long. You can always trust it ahead and push it push. It falls this all the extra height and volume as well. So this is what I'm going to be playing with now. Okay, as you can see, my world was progressing. I put a lot of hair pieces in I'm really building the structure, but I'm trying to make it really feminine and soft and to show off these amazing eyes and make that the focal point I'm going to be doing nice luscious curls. That'S a start, Hannah's hair! I'M here with jasmine as well he's going to help me, kill the hair, we're going to be using very small, curling irons on this about 18 millimeters, and once we've created all the cool, we're going to backcomb the hair and make it quite afro. Looking I was in the hair, make sure you place them sort of the end and then start wrapping the tongs around the hair. We'Re often here around the time and the Tom's are in the hair, don't get for too long, maybe 10 12 seconds at most and then, when you take the tongue out, be really gentle and very, very carefully unwinding the hair and slowly open up the tongs as Well, so you get this nice effect here and that will help us when we come to backcomb the hair. It'S taking about an hour to curl. All of this, it's very important than the sections that we take are very small and we need to create as much width and volume as a hair, as plus as we possibly can, and that will help us create the afro. At the end. Now, we've curled the hair without the stock back combing it from the back to the front to create as much fullness as possible and Figaro is possibly last few pieces of hair now to back comb back combing this into the root a little bit here. Just to make you stand up, and now it's gon na back home the ends of the hair to get rid of this curl. It'S gon na work brush in this way hold you the enter the hair, not too tight with the hair itself. So it's easy to claim: it's actually back brush it out. Once you finished all the backcombing, we then can stop pushing it into place without hands to create or change the shape. Slightly nice, okay, a little bit of hairspray now into the backhoe into the roots of the hair hi. My name is Natasha Daniel. I'M a makeup artist on stage shoots we're going for a bohemian trainee. He kind of looks one time. So I'm trying to keep her in very fresh, just got up these skins and not too much harder. I'M keeping these shades on the eyes quite new to using different shades Brown lovely glass with it then nothing's. That was a part of the haircut hair is the focus today. I marry Alexandre. I'M part of the makeup team on today shoots and we're here with the modernist and I'm creating a real glamorous, but still bohemian fresh-faced look as I've just applied some false eyelashes to the level and I'm just gon na be blending some shadows now and just giving It up really intense eye.

Tom Cooper: Great video! As a young hairdresser just starting out in the industry I find you very inspiring! Would love to see some more cutting/colouring videos too :)) Thanks!

tsim4334: Lara great hair, you and Stuart are so inspiring from watching all your videos, this is my favourite hair video so far, love the edit Rebeca!!

Jos Archi: Well done Stuart, all the models look stunning! If only I could have been there... I was actually one of the 17 short listed models in the casting and I have to say we had a great day :) By the way, do you know where I can find the trailer video of the casting? There used to be one but I can´t find it anymore.

Stuart Phillips: Hi Shanna, after looking at your photos this is what I suggest! I feel your layers are far to short for the length of your hair, this makes the shape disproportionate from the length at the back, it also makes your hair a little bulky. If your layers were about 3-4 inches longer this would make the shape better and easier to dry.I would try and use a round brush once you have the layers longer, this will keep some of the body but not make it look thin after using the straighteners. (continued)

christyabb27: Hi Stuart, I've heard of many great hairdressers but they don't seem to have the imagination and artistic levels that you have. I would like to congratulate you on this and please keep continuing to make these awesome videos

Stuart Phillips: Strangely enough when your layers are shorter it becomes harder to blow-dry as the hair just bulks out, when it’s longer it seems to sit better after each piece is dried. I would only use one product on your hair because it would limit the amount of grease that builds up in the roots but will make the mid lengths and ends more health, it’s called constructer by Tec-Ni-Art (Loreal) just spray it in after you have washed and towel dried. (continued)

Sara Ramsey: I'm quite a good stylist and to be honest what they've created I could probably do myself, although I have to admit they do it very well, so well done to the team

Stuart Phillips: Thanks Thomas, on my channel there's lot's more cutting and colouring video's, I hope you enjoy watching them too! Good luck in the hairdressing industry and if there's anything that you'd like know just ask! Stuart

Stuart Phillips: Yes I would use very small irons, the smaller the better for the afro, although the down side is will take you longer to curl but will give very good results!

Joleene White: wow, this is so inspiring :))))

sherribrns: Love the make-up Natasha and Amy, well done girls for getting involved with such a powerhouse of a brand Stuart Phillips!

Selma Peronne: I'm a hairdresser from the states and I use this video channel to get ideas for my clients, it's the best one on YouTube

Stuart Phillips: Thank you Jos and well done for getting to the last 17, out of 330 models was very good. The casting video has been taken off for now as I've just been awarded with channel of the month by youtube and for this all videos without original music content (licensed) has to be removed for now but it may come back at a later date. Hopefully see you at a future casting that I do for my new TV show!! Stuart

Stuart Phillips: Other than that you could use a product called Masquintense for thick hair by Kerastase, you would use this twice a week after you washed your hair! Good luck with your hair! Stuart

angel recendez: What lovely hair Stuart, Lara and Caron!

cyndit434: If only I could afford this great team of stylist!

Angel Lassin: Stuart do I need to use small round hot irons to achieve this afro look? I have similar hair to the model Hannah, can't wait to try it out!

davismarie32: OMG love the horses, never seen a hair video with horses and pony's before, Phillips you rock dude!!!!!

belindawntr: Caron like the 40's style hair you did, simple yet really affective

judybeachlover: I love that first style of Stuarts, I will try this at home, did you call the hair that you wrapped around the model Elizabeta a weft or something?

Stuart Phillips: Hi, if you wet the hair first and place conditioner in it, it got rid of the knots in 5 minutes!!

Stuart Phillips: That's correct, the hair that you wrap around the base of the ponytail in order to make the hair thicker, longer or both is called a Weft!

summersunfun345: How long has Stuart, Lara and Caron been a hairdresser for, I want to be as good as them!!!

Stuart Phillips: Thank you, Caron and myself have been in the industry for around 20 years, Lara for around 12 years!

Shanna Cox: I need some tips on how to grow my hair out. It never seems to get passed shoulder length without going all crazy. Any kind of hair shampoos I can use? Also what can I do to keep it healthy? My hair is thick, also wavy. I use a straightner instead of blow drying it straight. I use heat protectant. My hair is picky. It's either too dry or too oily. And I mean that by using certain hair shampoos and conditioners. I use a body shampoo and it is dry. Moisturizing shampoo it gets too oily. Any ideas?

Stuart Phillips: It will be difficult to explain which shampoo’s to use as i would need to physically feel and see your hair, although a good hairdresser in your city should be able to suggest this to you! I like the Kerastase range by Loreal, this is only sold professionally in salons around the world. I can recommend a conditioning hair treatment as this is universal. The product is Japanese and is called Yuko, there are 2 Yuko’s that hairdressers use (this is an in-salon treatment only) (continued)

Tom Cooper: Thanks! I wanna be just like you!!

parnellrbts: Caron looks very cute, good hairdresser as well!

Alyson Taylor: Great job

tess lemont: My favourite hair was the blonde girl that Stuart made to look like an afro style!

pcicotta1: Natasha where did you learn to be a make-up artist? Would love to be as good as you, your very pretty as well!

Stuart Phillips: Hi, the shoot took place at Bushwood Antiques which is, Stags End, Equestrian Centre, Hemel Hempstead, UK

stan Tuchi: Superb video

mlkfrevr: Good work

Phil Turner: Stuart is the best I have ever seen!!

Stuart Phillips: Thank you

Rita Lang: Love the make-up Natasha. Amy

Stuart Phillips: there is a permanent hair one that keeps your hair beautifully straight for up to 6 months but you want the other one, which is YUKO ANTI FRIZZ DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT, this lasts up to 3 months and is a miracle product, I have just started to use this in my London salon! It de-frizzes your hair, conditions it thoroughly, you will need this every 3-5 months, it costs around £100 but it's worth it. (continued)

Stuart Phillips: Natasha trained at a college in Essex, in the UK, then to finish off she went to the London college of fashion!

collinzellar: Dude how do you think of these things, my girlfriend keeps banging on about this hairdresser in London, we're from the states!

Deandria Walker: I wanna be that pretty Stuart. _(._.)_

Briana Munoz: ...I really enjoyed this beautiful girls here

jeramytollar: What a cool location, where is it?

Jaytheman2100: I Googled Stuart and he his everywhere, couldn't believe his in the Guinness Book of Records!!!!

scottpolston99: Lara's cute!!!

alisha princss: i wanna be a haidresser
