A teaser of my most popular crochet style, BEEstraight and how I manipulate it using volume to aid in its natural appearance ❤️

#teachusBee

Hey y'all, so a question I get a lot is: why don't I press the straight crochet completely bone straight, and the answer is that volume is your crochet's best friend. Volume is what is going to hide the spaces in between your cornrows. After you, tease or back comb. Volume is also what's going to create that illusion, or invisible or seamless perimeter or hairline on your crochet, so that you can wear updos and pull your hair back and it looked its most natural as it can be for a crochet, as you can see here. So um a reason: that's the reason why I don't press my crochets born straight and plus, as your new growth comes in, it's not going to be bone straight and you can't press your new growth because it's braided into your foundation. So I just find that assembly press is best for a blend between your natural texture and the straight crochet
