(, dramatic music, ), Hey everyone, Kayley here. Today we're doing some Star Wars hairstyles.. I am so pumped for the new movies. So I'm releasing this early. So you can wear these hairstyles to opening night if you want to or if you end up loving them. You know how to do them.. Obviously, we've got Rey, who is one of my favorite characters ever and Carrie Ficher, slash General Leia., And I'm sad that this is probably the last hairstyle that I do for her, but I'm so excited for this hairstyle, because it's perfect.. So hope you guys enjoy this., Let's get into it., So in The Force Awakens Rey rocks these buns and it looks like they're back again for this movie. So, let's recap: shall we Start by taking a tiny triangle at the top of your head and secure with an elastic.? If you have bangs, this step will be a lifesaver. Now bring the hair from the ears to the crown of the head into a ponytail and leave it looped on the last rotation. And now bring the hair from the ears to the middle of the head into A ponytail and secure it with an elastic and leave it looped on that last rotation., Repeat one more time with the remaining hair, and if you have extra ends, you can wrap them around the elastic. Finish by wrapping the base of the buns.. I used a bit of leather cord for this, but in the movies they used a little bit of wool, so whatever you have just wrap it around the base. And that's it.. These buns immediately became iconic with the last movie and I'm probably gon na wear them to opening night. For the new movie. Rey is letting her hair down a bit and it's even easier.. The texture seems to be her natural, slightly wavy hair in some clips and in others it's straight, so you can go for what you want. Here. Now pull back your hair from your ears to the crown of your head and secure it with an elastic.. You can also wrap this with a little bit of leather or cloth if you like., To make the texture look a little bit more natural and lived in, I scrunched some gel through my hair because it already had a little bit of wave in it.. Again, you can go with a wavy or straight hair texture for this. And that's it.. This hairstyle is really easy.. It is truly meant to just get your hair out of the way, so you can go fight, some bad guys. And now for General Leia.. I am so sad that this is probably the last Leia hairstyle, but it's a great one in so many ways. Start by sectioning. Your hair in a rectangle on top of your head and secure in place, then secure the hair over the ears, one each side and pull all the remaining hair into a ponytail for safe keeping.. Let the top down and tease the base of the hair for dear life and then smooth over the top and clip the hair out of the way.. Now let down the sides and grab a section of hair from your right side and twist., Bring it over the top and pin it in your left. Section. Now bring the sides up and secure them just under our top section.. Let the ponytail, with the rest of the hair down and tease the base of the hair slightly. Section in half and place the hair into pigtails, making sure to preserve that volume. And we're almost there.. Let the top down and pin the ends of the top section. Just below the occipital bone then arrange a small curled piece of hair from the right pigtail over the bobby pins. And finally, we're gon na make each side into a bun by bringing any extra ends into the pigtail typing, a loose knot and pinning in place. Wrap Any extra ends around the base and repeat on the other side. And that's it.. It makes my heart so happy to see Leia repping the double buns again.. I couldn't think of a more perfect style., ( inquisitive music ) Um. Hi.. Did you just have that laying around ( laughing )? What is this? You said we were doing a Star Wars. Video. I did.. I said I was doing a Star Wars video.. I remember you saying we. Okay. And here I am. ( laughing ) Yeah. When I told you I wanted you to get more into the behind-the-scenes of my YouTube channel, this wasn't what I had in mind, but I love it. Should've been more pleased.. This is so good.. I love you. And that's it for my Star Wars, hair tutorials.. I hope you guys enjoy these hairstyles.. It'S always super fun to recreate character. Hairstyles. Hit the like button. If you want me to keep doing this kind of video. And don't forget to subscribe as well, so you never miss it. If I do. That's it for today's video. I'll, see you again on Wednesday. Mwa., Bye, (, dramatic, EDM, music, )
