Hey guys, so I'm starting off with my hair stretched as usual. I didn't use any heat to get this blown out look and, if you'd like to see a tutorial on the method I used, you can click right here on this video and there will also be a link in the description box that will take you to my Wash day routine showing how I wash and stretch my hair, ok, so to do the style on first parting, my hair, going straight across from ear to ear, to divide the front and back sections for the front. Half I'm going to make a deep side part, and I kind of already had a part in it, but I'm just going back and making it a bit neater. And once you have your part, just take the larger section and put that away for now. We'Re going to come back to that later for the back half we're gon na take that out and make a part going straight down the middle like so I'm working on one half at a time I'm going to be making two cornrows and before I start I'm Spraying my hair with some leaving spray just to make it a bit more manageable and easier to braid, I'm beginning the first braid in the front where I made that side part and I'm just going to braid over and then downward doing a basic cornrow taking out The other side spraying it with some leave-in and braiding straight down once both braids are done, i'm criss-crossing them, so the hair is connected in a u-shape tucking the ends and pinning the hair in place with a few bobby pins back to the front. I'M taking that part down and spraying on some leave-in again, just so it's a little more manageable and then I'm gon na be doing six chunky twists. So I'm sectioning off pieces of hair and two strand twisting all the way down all twisted up, and now I'm pretty much just gathering the twist and making a like a mound or a pompadour at the center of my head, I'm tucking in the ends and pinning It down and then I'm just playing around with the placement until it's in the shape that I like and pinning it here and there so it's nice and secure for the last step, I'm using some gel and smoothing down my edges of course, and here you go Guys this is the final result. I really like this style because it's easy to do it's really quick in real time. I can do this in less than 10 minutes and none of the ends are exposed, so it's a great protective style as well. So anyway, I hope this video was helpful to you guys, and I will see you all on the next one. Bye

My hair is so thick and I be wanting to try out semi straight styles and stretching it out with no heat helps! Thank you for your videos keep them comin. Very inspirational, informative and beautiful.

Angenetta Ivy: Thanks. With a little help with extension braids, with all my new growth from the big chop, I was able to achieve this look similar to yours. Love It!

Ashley Gobert: I absolutely LOVE your tutorials! I do have a question: when stretching your hair, how do you control frizz when it's time to style? I've tried your stretching technique and I love it. However, when I get ready to style, my hair is so frizzy it makes the styles appear less neat and essentially unappealing. I like to limit heat use so I shy away from blow drying my hair, but I may need to once I take now my twists after stretching, which somewhat defeats the purpose. Any suggestions???
