Hi Jaybugs!!

Another quick tutorial on 4c natural hair. No combs were harmed in this tutorial! One of my go to morning hairstyles for work.

Natural hair is sooooo versatile! I missed my loose natural hair sooo much when I combed out my locs I had in for only 9 months. If you recreate this hairstyle please share with me.

Hi guys welcome welcome back to my channel, so we are going to see how i do a quick hairstyle in the mornings before i go to work and before you watch this video be sure to watch the previous video on how i prep my hair for bedtime And so what i do? I use a little bit of eco styler gel. I love eco styler gel, especially the green one, because it doesn't make my hair dry, it doesn't contain alcohol and it contains hydrolyzed wheat protein which helps to strengthen the hair and i'm going in with my ball brush. Now i only use four brushes, so the bristles are made from the fur of a ball, a wild, boar or otherwise known in dominica as a kosho mao and the importance of this brush is that because the bristles are natural, it contains the same protein content as Our hair and it helps to distribute the oils in from our scalp to the length of our hair. So that's a problem that we naturals face quite a bit because our hair is kinky and not straight then the oil from the sebum glands. It'S a bit difficult to get it along our hair, shaft, and so this brush the bristles help in doing that. So i love my bow brush, it's a little bit on more on the expensive side, but it does the job for me it doesn't snag my hair. It glides through very easily, and it's not really hard - it's very soft and malleable, so it doesn't snap my hair too much and then i brush all around my nape just a few stripes, and then i go in with my old paper piece of all tights. As my hair band and like i said before, i always give it a slip knot. So it's easy to remove and i don't do it too tightly. So i feel i get a lot of headaches when i do my hair bands really tight, so i don't do them as tight as before guys. I think my hairline is really resilient, because hairdos, where i put it up in one, are my go-to's and i have never experienced receiving hairline. I owe it to the fact that i don't put my hairband very tight, so that is very important that you don't do a lot of tight hair styles um. That will cause a lot of tension and breakage along your nape and your hairline and your peaches. So keep that in mind guys so this hairstyle most times i have an idea of what i'm going to do or hairstyle that i have done previously, but sometimes it's according to the moon. I am in when i wake up in the morning. I just take a section of hair. I twist it i play around with it put it in different angles, on different sides of my hair and just run with it yeah. That'S how some of my hair hairstyles my best hairstyles that i had are created and yes, so i don't use combs. I only use my fingers to detangle and i do like my major detangling when i wash so during the week. I will go in there and just do some slight detangling, but nothing too extensive. So i take little sections of the hair and i twist it - i don't twist it from the from the hair it's from the base or itself. I just twist like halfway up the section and twist the ends properly, then i hook it with the hairpin here and doing the same thing at the back, so guys, as you have noticed, i still have a few locks in i'm getting to it. I did half tonight so i'm getting to it so soon fully. My hair would be all loosely natural, so i'm doing the same thing as the back just taking a section of hair twisting the end and pinning it in usually what i do so that i don't get like a gap in the middle is try and pin them Together so they stay put and they're connected the different sections are connected to each other, so you don't see any gaps in the bun so to speak, just grabbing another section, just giving it a gentle brush just to get all the loose hairs in twisting it. You see i'm bringing it to the side. I don't know what i'm doing guys. That'S the whole part of it. I have no idea what this hairstyle is going to look like. I just go with the flow, so i take a little section twist in my fingers. Just looking at the different directions that i can put it, which one looks cuter, so i decided to go with it slightly to the front and then just pinning it in the sections that are pinned at the back and then i'm doing two more sections here and Yeah, so i have a lot of shrinkage. My hair shrinks quite a bit, but it doesn't faze me. I know now how to stretch my hair at night so that it comes easier and shrinkage is really a sign that your hair is healthy, that your kinks are intact, that there's no heat damage that it's not overly straightened and your hair is just healthy. I think we just have to learn to embrace our shrinkage it's hard. I know, but there are ways if you want different hairstyles with your hair stretched that you can do and guys, i'm all about showing you what i've learned along my journey. So i hope you stay tuned. I hope you subscribe to this channel as i will be showing you guys the different methods that i use to stretch my hair to get this cute classy hairstyles, i'm on the last section and pinning everything together now yep just patting it down a bit and i'm Done so usually, it depends on the mood i am i am in and if i'm rushing or not to work, i will just pass a little gel along the edges again going with my brush along the nape area, and this is key so to make the hairstyle As neat as possible, i undo my hair band and i put it back up again. I find when i do, that it stays a little neater. There'S no bulkiness around the hair, yeah just smoke it down a bit, go back with the brush and then tie back. My old piece of tights, so this is the technique that i use. I hold it taut in the front and then just use a single finger at the back to slide it up. This is my little wing face that i do to ensure that it doesn't um that it's not too tight on the hair, so the winky face loosens it up a bit and that is it guys, cute little hairstyle and my all faithful hair up that i can't Do without sometimes it depends, like i see on my mood, i'll, put a little um edge control, but today is not a bad day tied down. Then i go, take a shower, get dressed, eat breakfast and then yeah. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial guys until next time. Tamar Daniel: Such a beautiful hairstyle with wonderful instructions!! For most of my life I had locs and never got into a rhythm of daily styling my hair. I'm very happy to have found you now that my hair is loose with some length!! I can't wait to try this, thank you for the tip about tights for tying the hair as well! As a crocheter I really appreciate the genius idea to use a slip knot for easy removal, I would never have thought of that ❤

Danesha McKoy: Your tutorials have been such an inspiration for me. For so long, I've wanted to embrace my texture in all of its glory with FEW products, LESS time and LOW manipulation showcasing BE-A-UTIFUL hairstyles. GONE are the days of styles with pounds of gel, swooped edges, hours of upper arm workouts and so much manipulation that even I forget what texture I have. LONG LIVE JAYDEES NATURALS & THE JAYBUGS!

Marsha Maloone: This used to be my go to before cutting my hair

Jeanne Dely: c'est vraiment magnifique!
