How To Cover Your Bald Thin Edges! (Traction Alopecia)

What'S up welcome to Living Irving in today's video, I will be showing you how to cover up your bald spot using two products for under ten dollars. So what I'm using here is some Biore micellar water and what I'm doing is cleaning up any excess oils around my edges. Next, you want to take a brush and you want to brush your edges down away from what areas are balding, and this is where we're going to apply the product. So what this is called is the kiss quick cover, gray hair touch up. Stick. It has jojoba oil in it, so it's very tacky but yet nourishing at the same time. So it doesn't move around once it's on the the skin and I will show you a technique later on how to make it adhere to the scalp even better. So what I'm doing is taking the cover, stick and I'm filling in the areas that are balding and sparse, meaning where you can actually see my scalp through my hairline. So you want to get a good little amount of that in the areas that you want to cover, and you want to take your finger and just blend that out very well like the little patchy areas. You can do this as well with a brush, but I find that using a brush. It seems to take up much more product where you have to keep reapplying it. So I like to just blend it out with my fingers. It'S less Messier now this right here. The got to be glued hairspray. This not only helps the product adhere to the scalp better, but it just helps me to brush up any sparse hairs that are out of place up into a bun. So I just kill two birds with one stone and use them. Both just to make the cover stick: stick a little bit better to my scalp and brush up my hair in a bun, so I'm taking a hair tie and I'm really not pulling my hair tight guys, and this is just a temporary hairstyle. I don't wear updos a lot. I do have traction alopecia, so I'm fully aware that you shouldn't be pulling your hair up all the time. This is just to show you guys a method when you do want to wear an updo. I am in Florida. It'S extremely hot, so you know wearing updos is a must and yeah it's very hot. So what I'm doing is taking this ponytail from my local drugstore and it has a drawstring and two tuck Combs and you're just going to push the two tuck combs in and pull the dress drawstring around the ponytail make it tight as you want, and now I've Pinned up uh the bun and I'm spraying a little bit more got to be glued because now I'm taking this cream of nature, Argan Oil edge control and it's all black. As you can see. I love this stuff, it's very nourishing, and it also helps to fill in any sparsed areas that I did not get with the cover stick, and this is where I like to lay my edges down with the black gel and you'll, see it all. You know ties in at the end, so you just want to take your time and apply the product, and you know just put your edges down the way you like them and then we're going to tie them up for about 10 minutes and spraying. That got to be glued hair spray on there does help. All of this adhere to the scalp a little bit better and being that it's nourishing it has like jojoba oil in it. It doesn't make it look hard and crunchy, and that's what I love about it. The most so I'm spraying just a little bit more around the edges, and now I'm taking my hair wrap and I'm just going to go ahead and tie this around, make sure there's not a lot of bumps and you're, not tying it tight where it makes like A little Groove in the scalp, you know just tie it lightly, but tight at the same time. Wait for about 10 or 15 minutes, and then I'm going to take this down and everything should be dry. I'M peeling it off carefully. It'S a little sticky but, as you can see everything stuck down very well now, I'm taking my Biore charcoal micellar water, that's all it is - is very gentle and mild, and I'm just going to take a cotton ball and you just want to clean up. You can see where it's kind of like black on the the skin and you just go ahead and you know clean up that area, make the hairline look as natural as possible. So right there, where my finger is you can kind of see that little Gap there? What you can do is you can go back in with your cover. Stick and just uh gently, you know dot in those areas and then you're just going to take your finger and blend it out. If you'd like you can spray some more got to be glued. There and just make it kind of just like like uh. How can I say, settle in and it'll hold a lot better with the product right now, I'm just cleaning up any excess cover. Stick that got on my ears and um. Just kind of you know getting my makeup back right, I'm taking a sponge with a little bit of makeup, where I remove some of it with the micellar water, and this is about it guys. This technique works very well. I'M just pinning up my bun a little bit and getting it. You know situated here and I have a perfectly cute updo. I love my little sundress, I'm ready for today.
