Waterfall Twist Hack | Easy Diy Hairstyles
Today I have an awesome video for you guys, where I teach you how to create an incredibly #EASY hairstyle called the #CGHWaterfallTwistHack! The best part is, you can dress it up or down, and wear it almost anywhere! Where would you wear this #hairstyle?

So many of you guys love the original Waterfall Twist that we created over 7 years ago, however, it's a difficult style to master! This new hairstyle #hack gives you the opportunity to create a darling hairstyle in under 10 minutes, AND it’ll look like you spent much longer on your hair!

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Straighten hair and part down the middle.
Step 2: Pick up a small section of hair in the front (about an inch deep).
Step 3: Divide that front section of hair in half, so now you have 2 pieces.
Step 4: Twist both pieces of hair upward, individually.
Step 5: Cross the 2 pieces of hair over each other, but now, cross them going downward.
Step 6: Repeat this action down the length of the hair. It will start to look like a rope twist.
Step 7: Repeat on the other side of the head.
Step 8: Secure the 2 rope twists with a small elastic.
Step 9: Take small sections of hair and pull them through the twist all the way down the twist until you hit the elastic. Do this on both sides.
Step 10: Accessorize! You can finish the look off by adding an adorable clip scrunchie, or scarf to hide the elastic.

And her very swollen cheeks from having her wisdoms taken out. This one especially.. But today we are gon na show you guys how to hack the waterfall twist.. So if you guys are struggling with waterfalls in general, especially waterfall twists. This is the video for you.. So let's get to it.. Okay, to begin this, hairstyle I've straighten her hair and divided it down the middle.. Her hair is just naturally straight, so we're pretty much just working with her same texture.. You pick up a little section of hair right here in the front.. I don't wan na go too deep, so maybe not like deeper than an inch., And I want some hair down by her ears just to make it look a little more grown up.. So I'm gon na just kinda pick up this section right in here.. I do need enough hair that when I divide it into half the twist will still be a good size.. So make sure you get just big enough to do. That., I'm gon na divide the two pieces in half and when I get them sectioned evenly, then I'm gon na take the twist and I'm gon na twist them upward.. So you take this piece. You can do one at a time or two, whichever easiest. Just twist. It then take this piece twist it., So we're twisting going upward. And then you wan na take the two and cross them over going downward.. Can you see that so I'm twisting them downward. And then you just continue to repeat this action., So we're just kinda giving them a twist as we're twisting them over each other. And that becomes essentially a rope twist.. So when you twist them two different directions like that, it makes the twist tighter and more secure than if you're moving in the same direction.. So just working this down the strand. Like this and then I'm gon na have her hang on to this one.. I'M gon na repeat on the other side., So pick up a section just try to get it pretty much, even with the other side. And again same thing: here. We're gon na twist up first and then over each other, going downward., (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat Music ) ( upbeat music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), Okay, and when we get that done, we're gon na take the two pieces we're gon na secure them with an elastic in the back. Like this.. So it sits like this nice little twist on either side of her head.. Now this is where the little cheat comes in. That makes it so much easier for those of you that can't figure out how to the waterfall portion.. So what we're going to do is take this little piece of hair just reach in a pick up this little section of hair.. The only trick here is you just kinda have to hold the rest of it down until you get one little section of hair like this., And then you reach inside this first twist and you just pull it through. So easy and simple., And we're gon na keep Repeating that step, all the way along'til we have all of these twists filled in.. So just pick up a little section of hair. ( upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat music ) Then go to the next little section of twists. Reach it through pull it through.. This is really so simple. Anybody could do this on themselves. This is accessible and easy for young girls that are learning so new fun, hairstyles., Certainly something you could dress up. If you wanted to wear to homecoming. And we're just gon na keep going. For her, she has a little tendency to almost get like little flyways going. So you can use a little spray wax to help hold that down as you're going along. Or a little texturizing powder would do the trick. Too. ( upbeat music, ), (, upbeat, music, ). Okay, now before I finish going the rest of the way back, I'm gon na just switch since I have like four or five done on this side repeat on the other side and then come back and finish the back.. This just helps ensure that the braid that the twists stay kinda level on her head and don't like get skewed onto one side or the other. ( upbeat music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, Music ) ( upbeat music, ), (, upbeat music, ), (, upbeat music, ), (, upbeat music, ), (, upbeat music, ). Now that I finished this side, I'm just gon na keep working my way along the back and repeating the same steps basically. And how many strands you end up with will just depend on how tightly you twisted the hair too.. I twisted mine pretty tight, so we're gon na have more strands coming: through., (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat music, ), (, upbeat music, ), (, upbeat music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), (, upbeat, music, ), Okay, and when You finished all the stranding, then you're done., You can hair wrap that you could add a little scrunchie. You could add a little clip to hide that elastic is that's bothering you. But essentially you're all finished.. Okay, you guys so I'm gon na show you the finished. Look., What I love the most about this is that it ends up being identical to an actual waterfall twist, except that I just feel like it's way easier for those of us that can't always master the waterfall., So there yah go..
