BeautyHealthTravel: I agree, originally we did plan to do something unique for the back part of the hair; even twisting the same way as the front, but during demo some time related obstacles held us back doing it. In any case, leaving the back part out helps the beginner hairdressers have more control of the hair when doing a ponytail, because the back part usually needs more smoothing for the hairline flyaway hairs, and it is useful for covering the uneven ponytail parting if it happens when we we are in a rush :)
