Hey guys so today we are going to do a fishtail updo. So let's get started so to start out. You just want to leave out some hair in the front on both sides of your head and then clip away one of the sections where the fishtail braid will not be so now you want to divide your hair into two equal sections with the front section you're Going to slice off a small strand of hair you're, going to take that small strand of hair you're going to cross it under that front section and you're going to add it into that back section now, with the back section, you're going to slice off a small Strand from the back section cross it under that back section and then add it into that front section now we're going to repeat but we're going to add in hair to the front section. So i'm going to slice off a small strand from our front section hold on to it and then pick up a section of hair right next to it add the two together then cross them both underneath that front section and into that back section. Now, with the back section of hair, we're not going to add in any hair, so we're just going to slice off a small strand from it cross it under the back section and into the front section and then repeat so just slice off a small section of Hair from the front section grab another section of hair right next to it combine the two together then cross them both underneath that front section and into that back section and then you're going to take that back section and just slice off a small strand from it Cross it underneath the back section and into the front section so again, you're going to slice off a small strand from the front section pick up a section right next to it. Combine the two together cross them, both under the front section into the back section slice off a small strand from the back section cross it into the front section, and then you just keep repeating all the way down until you reach the bottom or well. The top of your ear, so this is called a dutch lace braid because we're crossing our strands under and we're also adding in hair to the front section. So if you can do a regular fishtail, you can do a dutch fishtail or even a lace fishtail. It'S super easy once you get the hang of it, it just takes a little bit longer than a regular fishtail braid, but i think the end result is definitely worth it. I ended up wearing this hairstyle to the beach after i filmed this video and i had a girl come up to me and she was saying how much she loved my braid and how cool the braid it was, which was really sweet. So now we just need to pancake or fluff out our braids, so i'm just pinching and pulling on the edges of the fishtail on each side. So i do this about halfway up my braid and then i tie it off with a clear elastic and then i repeat, i just keep fluffing it. You want to make sure you don't overdo it, because you don't want your braid to be frizzy. So this is what your fishtail should look like, and these are the elastics and bobby pins i use. I will link them in my description box. So now i took the rest of my hair out of a clip and i just tied it into a ponytail. I do have a little bit of a section hanging out on the opposite side of the fishtail braid. Now i'm just dividing my hair into two sections and just wrapping them around each other. So it creates this little twist and then i'm going to take that twist and begin wrapping it around itself. So i just kind of bobby pin little sections at a time to my head and just kind of twist it around my finger, continuing to just wrap it around itself and bobby, pin it to my head. So then you just want to take your ends and then tuck it up under that bun and then just bobby pin it to your head. Now i'm going to take that fishtail braid, i'm going to bring it around to the back and just insert a couple bobby pins so that it stays nice and secure to my head. So we just want to drape it around the bun. Now, with some of that hair hanging out on the opposite side of her head, we're just going to give it a little twist and we're just going to tug on it and then we're going to take that twist. We'Re going to lift up our fishtail and then we're going to just wrap it underneath it and then go around that bun and then just bobby, pin it underneath that bun. So then we're just going to take the ends of our fishtail and just kind of tuck. It up under the bun and bobby pin that into place as well, and then you can kind of put the finishing touches on it. Now continue fluffing out your braid pinching and pulling the top of your head for some texture, and then this is what it should end up. Looking like this is such a pretty updo to wear for any type of occasion, weddings going out with your friends going out with your significant other school work, you name it. So i hope you guys found this helpful and you learned something. Let me know what you think in the comments below i did not film an outro. So sorry, but i will see you guys in my next one thanks for watching bye.
