Bubble Braid Tutorial On Short Hair

Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel, i hope you're all super well so today i thought i would do another step-by-step hair tutorial, for you guys and i've seen that a lot of people have been searching for a bubble, braid tutorial. So that is what i'm going to do today. I absolutely love bubble braids. I think they're super cute and super wearable all year round. You can really jazz them up with different colored hair bands and scrunchies. You can kind of really play around with bubble braids. You can do half up half down bubble. Braids you can bubble braid your whole hair into two sections. You could do a bubble, braid ponytail bunches. Like honestly, the ideas are endless for bubble braids, but today i'm going to show you how you can do bubble braids on short hair, so we're going to do a half up, half down bubble. Braid look and i really hope you enjoy this step-by-step tutorial. Let'S get going and i'm gon na pop a voiceover over the top, so you can follow along so things. You'Ll need for this tutorial are some hair bands. I'Ve got these brown ones, because i've got a bit of a nude vibe going on today and some product to add to your hair just to flatten down any flyaways, frizz and yeah. This one is great for dry damage or color treated hair, as it adds in extra moisture so we're looking after our hair, glass or styling it so pop some product on your hands. Rub it all in and pop it through your hair, flatten any flyaways and any frizz and yeah, then we're ready to get started. So what you're going to do is take a comb then we're going to section the front bit of our hair. So, just in kind of a little bit of a angled triangle shape, we are gon na pop that into a really tight little ponytail and then clip that to the side using a comb like this means. You'Re gon na get really really straight defined patterns when you're sectioning your hair and it just looks a little bit better. Then we're going to take another section behind that front one, and instead of putting this straight into a ponytail, we're going to add the ponytail from the front section into that section and secure with an elastic band. Then pop that aside again create another section behind that. One so, as you can see, i am using the whole section of my hair on the top half on one side of my middle parting. So once you've got all the hair together in that section, take the ponytail in front and add that in and secure with another elastic band. So this is basically the starting point of your bubble. Braids, you would just want to get this kind of sequence going along all the way to the end of your hair once you've popped, all the elastic bands in then that is when we're going to start creating the bubbles. So for this all you're going to do is basically pull out the hair in each section between the elastic bands. So this is great if you've got long nails, you want to put your thumbs underneath the little section and push up and pull out with your index. Fingers just keep doing that. Do it very slowly and gently as you don't want to pull out any kind of short bits of hair. As you can see, i've got short hair, so i've got a lot of sticky outfits, but we'll deal with that later on and yeah, so just keep pulling out and creating that bubble effect once you're happy with that. Take your coconut oil and this is going to be great for some fly aways, so pat that down on the little bubble, sections and flatten any flyaways. If you've got a lot like me, grab some hairspray. I'Ve got this one from redken and spritz on the bubble. Sections and flatten any flyaways down if you're struggling you've got some sticky out bits. Hairspray use a clip to flatten it and hold that down and then leave that for a bit and the hairspray will dry that flyaway down because you've clipped it down good little hair hack there. So i've done the other side of my hair, as you can see, and that is all fabulous and ready to go. We'Re going to take that clip out and just yet grab a hair grip. If your bubble, braids are sticking out like mine, do then just grip behind the bubble braid to the rest of your hair, and that's just going to secure that in and hold it in place the end of the bubble braid and that's it guys. That is it, that is how to do a half up, half down bubble, braid on short, hair, really hope you enjoyed it. So this is the bubble braid guys. What do you think? So, as you could see from the tutorial, i showed you two different techniques of a bubble braid, so we've got the technique of where the bubble braid is kind of attached to your scalp, like so so kind of like a dutch braid but bubbles instead of a Plait and yeah, so this one's attached to your head, where you add extra hair in to each bubble as you go along and then i showed you the technique of just doing a bubble braid on a bit of a ponytail. So i showed you two different techniques. There and yeah - i hope you guys enjoy trying this out on your own hair. This is something that you can do on long and short hair. You just might have to on short hair, do something similar to me, but we could have definitely done a bubble. Braid. All the way down and done two that would look super cute and um yeah, there's lots of different ways. You can wear bubble braids. I will link to a previous video where i've done a bubble braids using faux hair like um, braiding hair and that's super easy to do. I'Ve actually got a tick tock that i recently did for halloween, where i did bubble braid bunches, but using orange um, braiding hair. So there's lots of different ways that you can do bubble.
