Today's hair tutorial is this surprisingly quick and easy updo / bun hairstyle. This would be perfect as a bridal hairstyle, prom hairstyle, home coming, and even work. I absolutely love how this hairstyle came out, and I hope you did too.

I'd love to know what you thought.

Hey guys today, I'm going to be sharing with you, this really easy and elegant updo. You are going to be blown away by how quick and easy this hairstyle is. So are you ready to learn the easiest updo ever, let's get started step number one, the step. I always try to avoid, but I find necessary if you want that polished, look and it's teasing your hair, so Parker hair as you like, and work in small horizontal sections around the crown of your head, and I just use a regular comb and you want to Make sure you're only teasing downwards, this help prevents knots and breakage, and it's really easy to brush out later on now, I'd suggest over teasing. You want to look crazy and when you're done just gently comb over the top to smooth it down - and you can see the nice a bump of volume that this gives now section off of the side, sections of your hair. So from your part down to in front of your ear and then just clip it out of the way be sure to do this on both sides, and you could also braid these sections. If you wanted to now loosely gather at the top section of hair, you don't want to flatten that volume and then using a comb too tightly gather that under section and you want to create a tight low ponytail using a strong hair elastic. And, as you can see, I'm carefully wrapping my ponytail around my hair, it just to help ensure everything, stays nice and polished and smooth. This next step is my secret, so place your hands on the back of your head, pushing hard against your scalp and then slowly pulling your hair upwards. Just a slight amount really take your time and you can see the additional volume that this helps create. Now take another strong hair elastic flip, your hair upwards and secure this hair elastic around your hair to create a small bun, smaller the bun, the better. This will work not kidding you guys. I used to wear my hair like this every day in elementary school, if only I knew I was one step away from an incredible updo, all right now, smooth down your hair and are you ready for the magic hook your finger through that second hair elastic at The bottom of your bun and pull it down so that we're able to tuck our ends through it now envision, drawing the number six. That'S how we're going to direct our hair, we're going to bring it down and loop it through the elastic. Now I'm just holding my hair in place with my right hand and with my left and bringing my hair down and over my bun and then I'm bringing it under the hair elastic not pulling it through yet and then up and now pulling the hair through the Elastic where we were pulling it down so all I did was direct the hair under the elastic and looped it up and pulled it through now. I promise this is much simpler than it sounds, but I realized, while editing that it was hard to see. So I just quickly threw my hair up for you guys so don't judge, but as you can see, my hair goes up down and then it goes underneath the hair elastic. Then I pulled my ends through just like the shape of the number six once your hair is looped. Take your time tucking it all through and don't worry. If your bun isn't perfect, you can continue to adjust it later. So once you've tucked your hair, your ends should now be inside of the bun, which makes them easy to hide and if they aren't poking out at all, just tuck them back inside now take your first side section and pull it. So it covers a little bit of your ear and then tightly pull it across the back of your head and then pin it into place. I just pin mine to the underside of my bun and if your hair is long and you still have excess hair hanging out just tuck it in your bun to hide it and on the left side same thing, finesse the section and make it a little bit Wider and then tightly pull it across the back and pin it to the underside of your bun, and you can see it creates a really beautiful cross detailing now for the bun play around with it until you're happy with the way it looks, and you just want To fan out the sides of the bun to close off that hole and then just use bobby pins to pin sides into place and, of course go ahead and use some hairspray to smooth out any flyaways. You guys, I love this hairstyle so much. This is definitely going to be my new go-to. You guys have to try it and if you do don't forget to share with me on Instagram, you can tag me or I send it to my DM if you have any friends or family that have any special events coming up this year, don't forget to share This hairstyle with them, they will thank you later or you can keep it as a secret and keep it for yourself whatever, but I really hope you like this video, if you did don't forget to give it a thumbs up, comment down below. Vanja Knezevic: This is the first tutorial that actually worked on my thick long hair, thank you so much I managed to do it out of first try, but it wasn't neat, so I tried again and it was stunning... you're a lifesaver

Angela Hemauer Keyser: A MILLION thanks!! I have always tried to do this style on my hair for a number of formal events and it never worked. I ended up frustrated, running late and wearing a simple bun. Your tutorial was absolutely perfect! (The “6” technique was key for me!) I only had to practice once. By the second attempt I had my hair looking like it was professionally styled. I couldn’t believe it! I am such a Tom boy when it comes to styling my hair and feel like I have two left thumbs. The fact that I could pull this style off - with your help - has made me absolutely elated! Now I don’t have to stress about doing my hair before an upcoming event. Thank-you!!!

nycSmokes: Omg thank you so much. I have been using about 18 pins for my current chignon, and this one looks exactly the same but so much easier. Not sure my hair is long enough yet, but definately-- thank you!

Aubrey Parker: Looks SOOOOO pretty! Will definitely have to try this one out!❤️❤️❤️

Shell Meech: This is the 1st time I’ve ever left a comment on here, but thank you for showing and explaining a lovely simple chignon! I have been searching through many different ones on various platforms, they were either over complicated or there were no real advice (on several no audio advice at all). I am so glad to find one that seems doable, even for amateurs like me! Thank you soo much!

Nadi Antuane Muñoz: Lindo peinado ☺

Nadine Wirnitzer: My very first comment on beauty-tutorials But this WORKS! And it looks stunning. And it‘s so FAST! Thank you from Switzerland.

Melissa C: I have an outdoor evening wedding to attend next weekend...I'm definitely gonna practice this! Can u tell me what heat protectant you use and what setting is safe to set my straightener on? I'm afraid to cause damage but I can't ever seem to get it smooth. Its naturally curly and frizzy...:/

Flower Pot: Was so looking forward to trying this! But my hair is just too short. Although it comes over my shoulders. :(. Looks really lumpy and strange. Oh! And does anyone else have this problem when teasing your hair? Mine just unravels its self. At first it looks great and than it just starts to unknot itself. Making it flat and floppy again.

Trish Pipkins: Gorgeous. This cannot look sleek and polished on me due to my raging Medusa curly hair. But that's OK. I'm still going to try it and see what happens.

L C: Thank you so much for this. I've been wanting to make a chignon for 2 years but couldn't find a way to do it because my hair was too heavy and thick. Anyone from 2018?

Are you snow boarding this weekend?have a wonderful weekend❤❤❤

Have a magical day: You are so beautiful ahh you uploaded early, it is 10:47pm and I am going to bed soon (I have slept ALOT today and now I am sleeping more I love sleeping), I washed my hair yesterday and used a curling iron with low heat and I used it on larger pieces of the hair and sprayed on heat protectant first and then went to sleep and when I woke up my hair looked perfect, it was a mix of «I woke up like this» and beachy waves. I used large pieces of hair to avoid damage and the waves are still in my hair just like yesterday and looks the same, someone complimented it outside (when I went to the store I was so surprised but happy❤️). It has overall been a great day because I feel well rested and clean and good, I also bought a new perfume I tried out today after showering and it smells so good (it was a cheap one but smelled like roses, almost like herbal essence shampoo with rose smell, I love it I actually just sprayed it on my brush and brushed it through my hair). How was your day? ❤️ I want to try out that hairstyle when my hair gets thicker, it looks to elegant I can buy some fancy clothing and use that hairstyle and it would look perfect together, it looks really good for weddings too and proms etc love you and your videos as always❤️ good night, and I am early❤️

HezSur Narcissus: Elementary school hairstyle--- I used to grab a 1" front chunk of hair, like bangs except I didn't have bangs, and let it hang down the centre of my face. I even somehow managed to turn such a silly hairstyle into a thing. I think it was because I genuinely felt confident about it, and others followed suit.... Kids.
