Hi guys welcome back to my channel today's video is going to be me testing out uh the first of three wedding hairstyles that i'm interested in trying. I am going between a twist out a perm rod set and wand curls. I opted to not have a hairstylist because i have not sat in anybody's chair since i lived in nashville. That was probably in 2012 2013. i've been the only one managing my hair. I'Ve been the only one cutting my hair coloring, my hair, all those things. So i'm gon na try these hairstyles out in separate videos see which one i like the best see what you guys think and go from there. I wanted to do my hair today, as i am having my first wedding dress consultation tomorrow, and i wanted my hair to look nice, so i could actually get an idea of what the dress is going to look like. So what i'm going to be using uh. I have a garnier fructis heat protectant. I have my trusty one curler. Hopefully it still works, it's hot. I got it uh. I think when i lived in arkansas - and i have not used it since then - and i've been in dc for about five and a half years um after i finish, i have some aussie uh hairspray and just to get my hair out of the way got clips And then trusty comb, my hair has been deep, conditioned washed uh blow-dried, and then i had it twisted because i took a shower um and i'm gon na go ahead and get started. Um. It'S not perfect. I wasn't trying to make it like super super flat. Just good enough so that i could do the uh, the wand, curling and then also i do not have the uh. I don't have the glove anymore. So if you see me struggling that's why? But i'm gon na go ahead and get started. So the first thing i'm going to do is section off the front of my hair because i do like to have a curl bang um a lot of times. I have to bobby. Pin it as my hair is pretty long in the front, but i like having hair come down and then from there i'm gon na separate into four additional sections. So this side, i'm just going to use this little metal, alligator style, clip and then on this side. I'Ll use the two colored clips, i showed you guys some of my sections they're all ready. When i blow dry my hair, i use the melanin hair care leave-in. I used uh this heat protectant and then i went in with the uh. Camille rose brown butter melt. So i've done my leave-in heat protectant in oil. I have not done cream because i'm not sure how that's going to go. So i'm going to start off with a pretty small section, as it has been quite a while, since i've done any kind of heat styling. All right, starting with a pretty small section and i'm gon na, put this out the way and um. Let'S see how this goes and i have a mirror right here. Oh first off i'll say i haven't won 360, the hottest is 400 and i'm just gon na wrap it kind of like i do. My primary set hold it for a few seconds, drop it off and do a little cut motion there. We go might be too much hair. Actually all right come on. This is future editing here, and i do not know why i make these really weird faces. When i put my hair on this wand curler, it is so weird. I look like a little bunny rabbit. So please bear with me i guess that's my struggle face, but it is tearing me up. While i am editing you see, i'm already sweating. I haven't used heat on my hair in this manner and probably five. No, i straightened my hair in 2017, and that was the last time i did that, but once i take it off scrunch it up, let it cool down there you go so i'm gon na go ahead and just go through my hair. All right all done! Um doesn't have to be. You know super perfect, but you know my hair is longer in the back. I got a little rick james mulling situation, i'm just gon na go in with this uh anti-humidity spray and then i'm gon na go in and try to gently, separate and all right. So this is it before i like, pin stuff out of the way. I can't even see to see what the back of my hair looks like, but i'm sure it's a little bit flatter right here at the top, so to make my bangs something that i can actually see out of i'm going to go in with some bobby pins. I just have three random ones. I just go in flip my hair up the bobby pins, it's about maybe two two and a half inches back all right, so i took my uh glasses off because i don't plan on wearing them that day i can't see, but i took them off. I just have right now my bangs are kind of doing whatever i might need to do some cutting but they're a little bit shorter, still in my eyes, a little bit so i'll figure that part out. I pulled everything kind of to the front and i have this little headpiece that i got from michaels. They actually had a sales david tutera, i'm not sure if you guys are familiar with his show. I used to be in love with it back in my college days, um. So at the moment, i'm just thinking about doing something very simple like right in the front, i don't want a veil, i don't want a bunch of stuff. Just something simple might not be this specific headband, but i just kind of wanted to get something to try it out. Um this one kind of gets tangled in my hair a little bit. So i'm not sure i feel about it all right guys, so you smart style with the headband. This is just another option. I just slip this back, put it behind my ear, have a little tendril situation, combed it over um, i kind of like this too. Actually, i kind of think i like this more than the bang headband and i think it'd be really cute. If i could put a clip right here, i forgot i had this for another wedding. Okay, all right guys, so this is option two. I kind of like this one a little bit better. I just did a little edge slick back, nothing, crazy, pulled everything over to the side. I have a bobby pin holding it over in place. Um kind of push this piece back and have my little curlicue here and a little clip to push it out the way i probably wouldn't wear this one specifically, but just to kind of show you guys what i'm thinking - and i think this is very cute. I actually kind of like this one better than the other ones, so i hope you guys enjoyed this video you've seen what i'm thinking with this look. I have two different styles in mind. Um. Let me know what you guys think down below in the comments. I hope you enjoyed this quick hair, video and i'll be coming back to do an updated, perm rod set video and um. I think i've done enough twist out videos y'all know how those work, so i don't have to do that again, but updated perm rod, video. If you like this video, please give me a thumbs up.
