Hey guys!!!

How exciting is today's collaboration though??

We linked up with our Awesome Youtube friends Sekora & Sefari(Nicole) and Lady Justice(Joyce and Jayla) and made this great memory and meaningful tutorial!!! Editing this was sooo much fun (more fun than recording it) and it gave me a chance to go down memory lane recalling the good ole days lol.

The hairstyle I did on Londi is one of the ways that I used to wear my hair when I was little but using thread/yarn instead of rubberbands and once Londi's hair grew a certain length, I didn't think it was going to be possible for her to wear her hair like I used to but we found a way to make it work and even though it's some what sloppy and took A LOT OF THINKING AND TIME, I am so glad I got to make this memory with my daughter and now it will be forever etched in our hearts and I also have footage of it now and got to work with some awesome ladies one out very first collaboration!!! IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER!

Hey guys today, I'm excited to announce that we bring you this awesome throwback, hairstyle collaboration featuring two of our YouTube friends, gorgeous decor in Safari and also Lady Justice, with her gorgeous daughter, Jayla, and we're just going to be showing you guys how we wore our hair. As kids on our little cuties so guys in case you didn't know, I am South African living in America and right quick before you get started on this hairstyle, I'm going to insert a clip of how long you reacted when I told her what I'm going to Be doing on a hair guess all you're doing today. That green line here is thinking because I'm going to use a baby, mommy hair stuff is bad bad. How my mama looks like she was a little baby. You didn't know thousand how she's wrong - and this is me at my second year birthday party with my friends and cousins and don't we look like one of those commercials guys, but with your support in just 50 cents a day we can save them. Don'T take me too serious cause I'm just kidding, but that was funny so guys. I tried to do her hair like this, going from the pack which is gon na be so cute, but because of our head shape and the length of her head. That was not gon na work, so I had to go with Plan B and I went into this hairstyle under estimating it. I thought it was gon na be so easy because it used to be, but it was harder on Lana's hair because it was so much longer, but the way I parted the hair is, I just parted it a little over the halfway mark. Just like that and guys just to let you know what we used to use on our head, we use this product called glass friend and I remember it being greasy sticky and nasty, and my parents used to put on me from head to toe and then, besides That we also used to use some vaseline or petroleum jelly also used to put that from head to toe too, and none of these things were made for hair, but our parents use it on us because that's all we had and then guys to do this hairstyle. The real, authentic African way, you just need some yarn or some wall thread and then you're, just gon na wrap that around the base of the hair and tell you how you like almost under halfway with Rhonda's hair, will depend on how long your hair is. Then, once that is wrapped around you're gon na put the next section of hair part that in half and then slide that piece of thread in the middle and then continue to tie it around the hair again. And you would do this until your hairstyle was completed. But I did Google this hairstyle on Google and found an example of how our hair used to look so guys, there's no way on who's gon na work on Nadia's hair, because it's so slippery. So I had to put a modern spin on this hairstyle now. What I'm doing is just parting, the hair once again and once that part is in I'm gon na go ahead and section that part into two just like I'm doing and once it is sectioned. I'M gon na go ahead and add some rubber bands to both sections, and this is just one of the fancy ways that my hair used to get done back in the days and once my two sections are in rubber bands, I'm gon na go ahead and put The next section, just like I'm doing and then I'm gon na put that section in half again matching those parts to the previous parts that I did just like so and then I'm gon na show you how to link the hair, just press, the hair or the Next section of hair diagonally and then just slide the previous piece of hair through the middle and then tie it down with a rubber band. And then you want to do the same for the other side, and I hope my explanations are not too difficult and guys. What you're, basically doing is just crisscrossing the hair and once it's crisscross, it's gon na form an X just like that and guys, if you have not yet please go ahead and hit the subscribe button and then also hit the like button. If you like this video so far, and I'm moving on with the hairstyle guys once you're part going towards the back, is done. You'Re gon na put that part in half and then working on one section: you're gon na part that down the middle in a diagnosed fashion. And then we want to start twisting the hair from the previous section to make sure that it fits through that middle. And it's not getting too big and puffy and then we're gon na add our rubber band. Then we're gon na do the very same thing on the other side, split it down the middle twist that hair to make sure that it's not too big and puffy slide. It in and then add our rubber band, and once that section was done, this is how the hair was looking and since this hairstyle does make a u-shape and curves towards the back you're gon na start curving your lines too, just like so and when you get Towards the back, you're gon na have to start putting your lines going towards the top. Just like that and guys. I ran into a few problems during this hairstyle. First, the hair was getting so big and poufy, and I didn't know what to do and I had to be brainstorming the whole time while doing this, and that was just so tricky but anyways. I figured out how to do it when you get to us the curve you're just gon na have to finesse it somehow and make it fit, and I just added some extra jam to the hair, and then I had to be adding like extra rubber bands on The base because the hair wouldn't fit in the middle of the next part anymore, and I hope you understand what I mean by that. So I had to add the rubber band first at the base of the next section and then take the hair from the previous section and then added on to that section with the separate rubber band. And then her hair was just so and even now, from all the hairs from the previous part, and I just had to figure out a way how to make that work, and once we got to the end, I didn't know what to do with the loose part. So I got an idea to just braid them into three strand braids, just like I'm doing right now and I went ahead and braided the other section too, just like that and once the hair was braided. I didn't know what to do with that again, because I did not like how it was hanging, so I thought to twist it around each other or just twist it, but that wasn't working. So I also got another idea to just pinwheel the hair and then once it was pinwheel that went ahead and added a bobby pin to secure it in place, and I did the same thing for the other piece of hair or for the other braid too. And I really really liked how the pinwheel parts turned out guys and it's too bad that my lighting was bad and you can't really see it. But it gave me an idea for another hairstyle and I cannot wait to film that - and this is how her hair was looking and she was about to go to bed guys. So I just put a scarf on her and those white styling papers that I always use, they call Rapids and you can find them at your local hair store and now for my absolute favorite part of this hairstyle, which is adding the ribbon you guys. This is the only hair accessory we had growing up. You know how you guys have a bull race and knocked out. Both all we had was ribbon and you can see my little cousin there. My aunt tried it. She just put a bow on a bald head. She tried it, but me and my big cousin we had bowls on our head and look at my big cousin, my other big cousin. He looks like he wants a bow too, and the ribbon part is easy. Guys just find a loop loop, the ribbon in there and then just tie it up, and then this is how I pretty much wore my hair is a little girl cut. I let the French theater camp ready and you haven't done this video like and subscribe guys knowledge forever, asking somebody to like and subscribe, which I find to be so funny. But as a final touch to this hairstyle, we did add those hair jewels which we did get from the hair store because they're just cute and they added posess to the hairstyle. And I hope you guys did like my tutorial and please don't forget, to check our friends out, Sakura and Safari and also Lady Justice. I will include a link to the video and their channel in the description box, so please guys go ahead over there show them. Some love also like comment and subscribe on their video too, and thank you guys for watching I'll, see you in our next upload
