Hi guys welcome back to my channel in this video. I am going to be showing you everything that you need to know about rosemary oil, for hair growth, i'm going to be showing you how to make it how to use it, and i'm also going to be showing you an alternative, rosemary hair rinse, which is another Way to incorporate this nourishing and healing herb into your hair care routine to promote hair growth, it's kind of like rice, water, but with rosemary, so stay tuned for that at the very end of this video, if you're new, my name is audrey and i make beauty Videos here on youtube, if you would like to see more content from me, make sure you subscribe and now, let's get started with the video so chapter, one of this video, what is rosemary and how does it help with hair growth according to wikipedia rosemary, is an Aromatic evergreen shrub aka, it looks like this and it has a woody herbal almost minty smell. It is both a culinary and a healing herb it's native to the mediterranean, but you can pick it up at your local grocery store. There was actually a study done. That proved that rosemary is just as effective as minoxidil aka rogaine. At restoring hair growth, rosemary oil has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties, it promotes nerve growth and it improves circulation, all of which are said to help restore hair growth. Chapter 2 is all about how to make rosemary oil. You are gon na need rosemary, of course, and then you're gon na need oils. I recommend castor oil, argan oil and jojoba oil, castor oil helps with hair growth. Argan oil helps reduce frizz and jojoba. Oil can strengthen and thicken your hair. It can also prevent hair loss. So first you're, just gon na take three rosemary sprigs. That'S what they're called and take the leaves off then you're going to put them in a colander with really small holes so that they don't fall out and you just want to rinse the rosemary leaves. I have found that herbs well, the ones that i use at least usually have some dirt on them, so you just want to make sure to wash them thoroughly. We are going to be double boiling, this mixture, which basically helps to preserve the nutrients in the oils, while warming them up. If you heat oils up too much, they can lose their nutrients so by double boiling them aka, putting them in a bowl and then putting them in hot water that helps to preserve the nutrients. I place the rosemary in a large metal bowl and i add two tablespoons of castor oil, a quarter of a cup of argan oil and a quarter of a cup of jojoba oil. Then i add four cups of water to a pot and i put the bowl in the pot so cooking times, for this are going to vary. My stove heats things up really really fast. Yours might take a long time. So i'm not going to give you like a straight number to go by. You want to put the bowl in the water when the burner is off, then once the bowl is in the pot, then you want to turn the burner on get it to boil. Let it boil for a few minutes. I think i left it on for like two or three minutes, then you want to turn the burner off and then mix everything around for about a minute, and then you can let it sit for another like two or three minutes, obviously with the burner off after This your goal is to somehow get all of this oil into a small bottle. Like this, i got this little amber bottle off amazon. I will link it below in the description i use a funnel and i put it into a smaller cup. I didn't strain this because the rosemary just stayed in the bowl. You can strain it if you want, but i just kind of found that it's not really necessary. One thing that i will say is you don't want to have the rosemary leaves in the oil once you're transferring everything chapter three: how to use rosemary oil. I have two ways that i use rosemary oil. The first way is that i apply about two droppers full of oil to my roots and scalp, and then i distribute the remaining oils on my hands to the ends of my hair. Then i just take a microfiber towel or a hair drying towel, or i take one of my son's towels, because they're really gentle and i drench it in warm water. Then i squeeze out the excess water and i wrap my hair in it for no longer than an hour. I will show you guys what i do with my hair after, but i want to show you another way that i use rosemary oil. So the second way that i apply rosemary oil to my hair is by doing exactly what i did. The first time where i applied it to my roots and scalp, but this time i just put it in a high bun and i leave it in overnight so after i have left this in my hair for either an hour or overnight. Usually it's just an hour. I wash my hair in the shower using a shampoo with sulfates and a thick conditioner. I use a shampoo with sulfates because my hair is more on the oily side. So if i use a sulfate free shampoo that won't get all of the oils out of my hair and if i do use a sulfate-free shampoo, then i have to shampoo twice. If your hair is dry, you can obviously just use a shampoo without sulfates. This shampoo, i'm using is the redken cleansing cream and the conditioner i'm using is the fable and maine's holly roots conditioner. I do style my hair by blow drying it, but nevertheless the rosemary oil always leaves my hair smooth and healthy chapter four. I am now going to show you how to make a rosemary hair. Rinse rosemary, hair rinses are comparable to rice water, in that i pretty much use them the same way, but the rosemary rinse is a lot easier to make so to make the rosemary hair rinse. I take three sprigs of rosemary, just like i did with the rosemary oil i take all of the leaves off. Then i wash the leaves thoroughly and then i add four cups of water to a pot along with the rosemary, and i bring that to a boil on high heat. So once the water is boiling, i wait about a minute or so and then i turn the burner off. I cover it and i leave it for 20 minutes after 20 minutes. I come back and transfer it to a mason jar. So, unlike rice water, you can just use this right away instead of letting it sit out overnight and make sure that it has reached room temperature when you're going to use it. You do not want to use this hot on your hair because you might burn yourself also. Yes, you can make this one evening and then like use it the next morning or use it two days later, whatever i just recommend to store it in the fridge. So the maximum amount of time that i store this in the fridge is seven days. Chapter five is all about how to use the rosemary rinse. I use this rosemary rinse a little bit different from how i use rice water. So with my rosemary water. I shampoo and condition my hair first and then i use rosemary water within like five minutes of getting out of the shower. So this is because, unlike rice, water rosemary water does not dry out my hair, so i am able to use it on clean freshly washed hair for the most optimal results. This way i can ensure that the rosemary water is getting right into my roots and scalp and there's no like buildup of oil or anything like that. That'S preventing it from penetrating my hair, so i just pour the rosemary rinse into a large bowl and i rinse my wet clean hair over the bowl with a small cup. So i focus on my roots and scalp, but then i also just pour the rosemary water on my entire hair shaft. I just have found that it really really makes my hair shiny and when i'm done rinsing this out through my hair, i usually do it for like five minutes. I just gently squeeze out the excess rosemary water, and then i style my hair as usual. By the way, this does have a smell to it. The smell was really refreshing and clean, but it was also subtle. So it's not a really strong smell. Also. I haven't noticed this happening to me, maybe because i already have dark hair, but i have heard from a lot of you guys that it can darken your hair. This is how my hair looked after doing the rosemary rinse. Okay, you guys. So this has been all about rosemary for hair growth, how to make and use rosemary oil and how to make and use a rosemary hair rinse. I really hope that you guys enjoyed this video, please let me know if you guys end up trying it in the comments below. I love all of you and i will talk to you guys next time.

MarlenyNunez: Yesss Well Done girl!

Hasan Miah: One study showed Rosemary oil to be as effective as topical minoxidil when applied consistently over the course of six months. Whilst there were no significant changes in hair count in the first three months, the effects started to be noticeable by 6 months of usage. It has a wide range of benefits along with less scalp irritation compared to topical minoxidil.

Swati: I watched this video when she first uploaded it 4 months ago and I quickly ordered the oils and bought the rosemary. I told myself I would use it 1-2 times a week, however it ends up being 1 every two weeks. I've noticed such a difference! I'm losing way less hair and seeing a baby hairs growing back. I have PCOS which is my root cause of hair loss.

Shweta Baskey: I use castor oil mix with rosemary essential oil once every week and it is the best thing ever.. it is making my hair thick and long

Mrs Rawc: Thank you thank you thank you for making and sharing this video! It’s spot on perfection. I’ve recently started researching this topic because I’m a 43 year old woman who has always had baby fine hair but a lot of it! But my hair has started (drastically) thinning throughout the crown area. It’s most likely caused by major unavoidable street and an illness i somehow acquired almost 3 years ago that my doctors cannot diagnosis regardless of the crazy amount of tests, blood work, scans and specialists I’ve done or seen plus an over 3 weeks hospital stay. Female version of Rogain was recommended however it is far too expensive since I cannot work and while dealing with unknown illness and it’s symptoms I want to go the natural way and do not want to add chemicals into my life. You are the blessing I desperately needed and I wholeheartedly appreciate and thank you so very much for this. ❤️ from Shannon in Canada PS I probably missed it but how long can you safely keep the Rosemary oil? Refrigerated? Can you use the oil and water the same week? Or should you alternate using one week A and the other week B for example? Thanks again

Berlina18: I have done your recipe and it does work. My baldness patches had been considerably reduced after using the oil once a week for three weeks. In recent months my hair started to fallout a lot, I was concerned I was going to be bald, but I saw your video and followed your instructions and I now I can gladly say it works. Unfortunately there is no way I can upload photos on my comment. THANK YOU!!!

Lily Eichelis: there’s nothing more satisfying than applying oil to a dry scalp!!!!

amy khoo: Is it safe to use it with a shampoo that has rosemary in it too? Or will it be too much?

April83: Rosemary oil is amazing! I used it 3x(once a week) so far because my hair was falling out in huge clumps. After 2 uses, the hair fallouts got smaller significantly.

kim milberg: Great video! Easy to understand and and follow. I lost about 80% of my hair after a reaction to some antibiotics. I wish I’d known about it then. But I’m going to start these rinses after thanksgiving. Thank you so much for sharing!! Plus, you have gorgeous hair!!!

Nickolyte S: Not only she has an amazing shiny hair, she has good skin. ✨

joannaaa: hi audrey, how long does it take to see healthy hair results?❤️

Arfa Kamyabipour: I love all your positive energy you have and it’s amazing, you share your morning routine, night routine, and this is encouraging for many I’m watching your page for sometimes now and I really like what you’re sharing it’s very helpful, I made the rice water yesterday and I used it this morning and I like it , anyways Thankyou and you’re beautiful and a great mom too New subscriber ‍♀️

Natalia: I really like rosemary water, I used to use it every week in my hair. It makes hair grow and stronger and shinier, I don't like very much the smell after a few days in the hair but maybe cause I used it as a toner instead of a rinser (? It really darkens hair after a long time using it, but its really good I swear by it.

Rosy Natural: Rosemary oil is such a good one for the scalp. I use it together with peppermint oil for my scalp all the time and it’s great.

Karen Ramirez: Thank you so much for this video! I seriously need to start using the rosemary oil because my hair is super dry and frizzy, and I’ve recently started using a rosemary rinse because I’ve been getting dandruff too I’ve tried so much stuff, but hopefully this works!

Marianne: I put rosemary essential oil into my rice water when I’m making it… gets rid of the gross smell of rice water, makes it less drying, & doubles the positive results!

Trace S: Another thing I want to blame the pandemic on - hair loss! But I'm at 'that age' where it can happen. Anyway, I hate it but started researching the benefits of rosemary oil. I purchased a high quality oil and tried mixing it with a carrier oil which I didnt like at all in my hair. So I mixed it with miscellar water and I like it much better!

Jane Theresia: Hey Audrey, Can you give me the composition of the oils if I use a store bought rosemary oil ? Thanks

Andreea Ilie: Pepermint oil is also very good. Lavender and ownin essential oils are also very good, but you must combine them with normal oil

Vixen: I haven't tried rosmary as rinse, just the oil but i loved thyme rinse, made my hair shiny and soft. Will try out your rosmary oil mix ❤

Isolda: Thank you for a very thorough presentation on rosemary. I've not used it before, but at 60+ hair darkening sounds good to me!

yashita: It's amazing to see how long your hair has gotten Take good care of yourself, s/o and your son

Karoline Alves: Thank you so much for this! How often do you apply the oil and the rinse? Thanks!!

Plant Based Folk: There is an easy way to pick the rosemary leaves off the stem. Hold the tip of the sprig with one hand and then with your other hand pinch down slightly and run your fingers down the stem. Done, the leaves come off on in swift move.

MakeupMommy: Can you use the oil and rinse in routine together? Like oil once a week and rinse or would you have to do them in separate days?

chilolu20: Where has everyone been when Farah Dhukai was teaching us this 8 years ago? Because of Farah’s oil recipes my hair transformed and strangers even stop me to ask how I get my hair so silky and shiny. Both Farah’s Sweet Almond oil mix with rosemary and Grapeseed oil are life. I even lost almost all my hair a few years ago due to stress and I started oiling again; my hair grew back with a vengeance

jjkvibes: I use crude oil and it really makes my hair shiny and silky.

Derryn E. Hahn: Easy way to transfer oils or creams in a small mouthed bottle is to place the cooled solution into a ziplock bag and cut the lower corner off to pour❤️✨

Esme 10e: This is a great video, thanks. Can you use Rosemary Essential oil instead? Also, how often do you do the Rosemary water rinse please?

Karima El ouahmani: how long it takes to see results once u start applying it ? and is it normal for ur hair to shed a lot on the first couple times using the treatment?

Tanisha Zaara Sultan: How long does the oil stay good for and how would you store it?

big bang: Can I use dried rosemary instead of the fresh ones ?

Sjms13: Is it just the rinse that can darken the hair or is it the oil treatment, too?

KJunctions: Hi there Audrey! I really love your hair, I mean the texture and everything is amazing! But I just wanted to ask what color is your hair, also, can I get your hair color using any natural method/home remedy like coffee because I don't wanna put chemical dyes into my hair.

toni sumner: Can the Rosemary rinse be used more than one time?

Kendra Lee: Can other oil use instead of the ones you use in this video....oils like lavender, jaba and peppermint oil

Kim K: Could you use a clairifying shampoo everytime you use this?

BlackGoth Goddess: Wouldn't it be easier to put the rosemary water in a spray bottle for the rinse since you don't need to wash it out? I do my hair rinses that way

Nola: I love the way you edit your videos. Also, cant wait to try this!

قلب الأمل 369 the hope: I trust your recipes, thank you, I'm Arab and we use the same things you put on your hair

Wiki: is there a way to use the rosemary water without it darkening your hair?

Giselle Rhruby: Do you paint your own nails? If so could you show us your nail care routine? They look soo pretty
