Hey welcome to my channel, I'm Ted, and today I'm gon na be showing you guys how I got this super cute, the natural-looking protective style. Just what I do when I need to like get my hair done. Super quick, don't really have time to sit here and do full-on box braids, oh yeah, let's just get straight into how I achieved this look. First off you want to start with blow dried or stretched hair. Now I will say this: stop is better suitable for thick hair and I'll. Explain why and a little bit, but if you have thinner, hair, still feel free to give this a try. So the products that I use for scrunchies clips a Denman brush this tgin daily moisturizer, the shine and gem in the red, I'm not sure what it's called but I'll link it down below this all Avoyelles. This tgin repair, anti breakage, serum, a comb scissors and expressions. Unstretched in the color one you're gon na start off by taking your jam and putting that on your part, and what this does is just make sure you have a super clean part. So you take your rat tail or rat tooth. I don't know what it called the comb and you're just sectioning your hair down the middle, and you follow the same thing for the rest of your hair. So I section it into three. I do two in the front and then one in the back and I follow behind my ears, quick side, no guys, I'm so sorry for how bright this light is. I have to fix that. But yeah, oh, you want to just start. Creating your boxes feel free to do them as big or small. As you want, I didn't want them. The section is a little bit bigger so that I wouldn't be doing this for a full day. Then you're gon na put your jam on your part again to clean everything up now. What I'm doing is just measuring the length I want my hair, so I put it towards the middle because that's where I'm gon na start adding the hair to my own. I did not stretch this hair out, but you can, if you want to so now, you go ahead and you get your section and you section into smaller pieces, make sure that you guys apply your products as well to each section of your hair and in order To make your braids like super snatched at the root, you want to put your jam all over your roots and really like rub it in and just make sure it's super smooth. So to start your braid you're gon na go ahead and separate it into three sections: try to make them as even as possible, but you're gon na braid. It just like you would a regular braid and if you guys don't know how to braid. I suggest looking at some YouTube videos they're super helpful, alright. So the reason I said this is better for thick hair is because you don't add to your first piece of braiding hair until you get towards the middle. So most of your thickness on the braid is coming from your natural hair. I don't know if it's just me but starting a knotless braid is so hard and that's always where I messed up. So this cuts it out completely and that's why it is so easy. So once you get towards the middle of your braid, you can go ahead and add your first piece of the expressions hair in so you're gon na hold it like. So you place it on top of your pointer and your thumb finger, and then you insert it in between your middle and your pointer finger on your opposite hand and don't worry guys, I'm going to show it a couple more times. Just in case you guys. Don'T quite get it alright, so the mistake I made here you guys will see. I didn't make sure I braided down enough before I put this second piece, so it does end up creating a little knot right there, which I didn't worry about too much, because this style, like I said it's just to get it done, super quick. So I didn't worry about perfection or anything like that, but continue to braid, and I think I added around three pieces for that braid. So now I have you guys at a closer angle, take your product and place that over your roots, make sure you have enough to make your hair look really really smooth on your roots, because that is the key to have a nice braid. And then you want to go ahead and section your hair, okay. Also, if you have any flyaways, you can just use your jam. You'Ll see me unbraid the hair and apply more product just to smooth everything out. All right so grab your braiding hair and it slowed down a little. So you guys can really see you want it on top of your pointer and your thumb and you grab the rest with the rest of your fingers and you just place it in between your middle finger and your pointer finger. And then you want to braid down like you normally would try to even forget that that piece is there, because if you mess up the flow of the braid, you will get enough. So you'll see how I can just place it in there. And then you just want to start braiding normally for the back of my hair. I did not record it, but I just parted from one ear to the other and did the bricklayer method, and then, after that I put mousse all over my hair and dipped. My ends when you dip your ends, please do not dip your natural hair; it will damage it. People get heat image. One of my ends. I did not stretch my hair, so I went ahead and just tied a knot and then once I had the knot, I took a lighter and quickly burned where I tied the knot so that it would stay secure, so yeah guys. This is the final result. I really really loved how they turned out easy. There were, if you guys made it this far. Thank you so much for watching and don't forget to Like comment and subscribe for more

My braids are flat and clean and I parted it just like you did!!!! I was watching 30 min parting tutorials but just watching this simplified everything, even adding hair!!!!! It took me almost 12 hours to install all the braids and then I had to go back in and braid them all down, dip them, and add beads, but I'll get more proficient with time. Thank you for this video it was so simple yet effective!!!!!
