Hey guys and welcome back to um, hey guys and welcome back to my channel. Today'S video is featuring one of my best friends erica because she has great hair, i'm going to be showing you two different looks um one is more easy going effortless and really what would you say, relax, relax, yeah and the second one is a little bit. Edgier sleek tight for that person that just wants to try something different both of these looks, are great for valentine's day and do not require heat, which is essential, especially if you're in a hurry. So if you want to see how we get both of these looks, then just keep on watching all right. So for the first look, it's going to be a half up! Half down! Look! So i'm going to start by teasing the crown of erica's head so that she has some volume so taking a teasing comb. I'M going to take the back section of her hair and start teasing upwards you're, just going to go section by section so that it creates a natural volume once you're happy with the volume at the top of her head, you're going to be taking some bobby pins And just pinning it in place so that the volume does not decrease throughout the night. Now, with leaving some of the front pieces out to frame her face, i'm going to be taking a larger section about two inches and braiding it and connecting it in the back to make the braid appear. Thicker. If you find that you have thinner hair around your face, just start pulling out the sides of the braid and it will appear a lot larger so, and this is the first look, it's really natural and easy going and just great if you have a lot of Hair to show off - and you don't want to put it all up - it's a great kind of boho, look so on to the next one, okay, so for the second one, this one's a little bit more sleek and edgy. So she has a middle part, and i think this looks the best on her instead of a side part. So i'm going to keep it middle and behind the ears and create a very tight sleek ponytail, taking a clear elastic, i'm going to secure that. So splitting the ponytail into two equal parts you're going to twist the one section away and the other section towards and then twisting on top so that it becomes one massive twist. It'S probably easier to just watch. You just want to make sure that the twists are going opposite ways so that they stay together. Taking another clear elastic, securing the bottom of the twist. Now you can either just leave it as a regular twist and keep it really simple and sleek like that. But i'm going to take it a little bit further and kind of make it a updo. Sarah highland had this at the sag awards and i just thought it looked really cool. So this is my recreation kind of of it. So i'm just going to thicken up the twist so that it looks fuller when you put it up so just pulling pieces and kind of playing around with it now taking the twist, and this is where you can have fun, placing it you can kind of do It to the side and bring it down or straight up, i'm going to bring it straight up and then flip it at the top and bring it straight down. This is where i'm going to start pinning it so with some bobby pins, i'm just going to be attaching that to the back of her head so that it stays well. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and you learned something from it. You can take some things from it and make it your own. There'S, definitely two different options, something a little bit more effortless and easy going and this one's just. If you want to try something new and kind of different and if you guys actually do end up using one of these hairstyles on valentine's day or any day, in fact, make sure to tag me at elle.
