My Hair Transformation | Jaaackjack

Hey guys, it's Jackie and welcome back to my channel, so today is a really exciting video, because I am sharing with you my hair transformation and how I got this blonde color. I am blonde now this is my new hair whoa, I'm finally blonde. You guys know if you've been following me for a while. I have been transitioning from dark black hair to blonde and it's taken about two years and I'm finally here and I'm so excited to share this with you guys. So yesterday I went up to LA and I saw Tiffany from Union salon South in the Pasadena area. I actually heard about Tiffany from my girlfriend Jessica. You guys know Jessica, Jessica Mae. She is my youtube bestie. I love her so much and she recently got her hair done by Tiffany and she was like raving about Tiffany and like how she is so good with Asian hair, and I was like huh. I thought check her out. Let'S go ahead and jump into the video. So to start this hair transformation process, I drove up to LA I am in San Diego, but I drove up to LA to union salon south in the Pasadena area, and I saw Tiffany and she is just such a talented, hair artist and hair stylist, and so The first thing she did, she just sat me down and looked at my hair and tried to determine what we were going to do with it. I did give her a reference picture. I had this picture of a Khloe Kardashian that I showed her, and so she was looking through my hair and she said that we were going to have to do a two-step process. So the first step was we needed to bleach my roots because my roots were super super dark. So to bleach out my roots. She used swartz cough blonde me, 9, +, 40 grams, with 30 volume developer and she did a 1 to 2 ratio for mixing and then also added 1/8 of B at 3 brazilian bond builder. The reason I'm sharing all this with you guys is for other hairstylists who might be interested in trying to achieve the same. Look that's why I'm sharing it for those who aren't hairstylist. This might sound like another language and believe me, it's like another language to me too, because I don't really know hair and the formulas and all that kind of stuff, so definitely glad that Tiffany. Let me write down some notes to be able to share this with you guys, so she put that all over my roots to lift out the natural pigment and then applied saran, wrap and left it for about 7 minutes and the saran wrap helps to enclose the Heat and it helps for faster, even lifting and the processing time for all. This was about 45 minutes and then, after that, she went ahead and rinsed and shampooed with our anko Atlantis moisturizing shampoo, our encodes, a new brand that I just heard about thanks to Tiffany and I'm so excited because they are a salon brand. But they are vegan and cruelty free, which you know makes me so excited, so I definitely have to grab a few iron Co products before I left the salon. So after she rinsed my hair, she went ahead and towel dried it and then blow-dried it. And then we began part two of this process, so the reason that this was a two-step process was because we couldn't pull through everything with bleach. Because of my previous highlights in my hair. So, for the second step, we were going to work with the mid shaft of my hair down and for that she mixed the Schwarzkopf blonde meat 9 + 40 grams, with 70 grams of 7 volume and 10 grams of 30 volume, and it was a 1 to 2 ratio mixing and then she also added the 1/8 b3 Brazilian bond builder. So the processing time for this part can vary because of the previous highlights that I had so. She just kept checking on the foils pretty often, but once that was done, she rinsed out and shampooed with the finola, no yellow, shampoo and left it on for 5 minutes and then went ahead and rinsed and towel dried, my hair. So now that we've done the bleach now it's time to tone everything, because right now we're looking a crazy yellow. So for the toner again we had two parts, so we had a toner for the root shadow, so it was gon na be a little darker and then we had another toner for the mid-shaft and down for the rest of my hair. So for the root shadow. She used the Redken shades. She used two ounces of 7n 2 ounces of 7 GB and 4 ounces of processing solution, and then you just shake that up and she applied it to my roots for the mid and ends of my hair. She used the Redken shades 3 ounces of 8 and 2 ounces of 9 GB and then 5 ounces of processing solution. What I loved about Tiffany was that she really took her time with the details of the hair. If you follow me on snapchat, I was there for a full 10 hours and it was so worth it because she really took care of my hair and she really made sure that she did everything correctly without damaging my hair or making it weaker. I had no breakage or anything like that, so she really did take good care of my hair and I think she does an excellent job and she knows what she's doing, especially when it comes to Asian hair. So if you do have kind of stubborn Asian hair, I definitely recommend you check her out. So the toner stayed in for about five to ten minutes and then she went ahead and rinsed it out and then conditioned with a Finola, Neutrik hair reconstructing mask. She left the mask on for five minutes and then rinsed it out and now we can move on to the styling of my new colored hair. So to begin styling she applied the Rho Park, Avenue blowout as a heat protectant, and I actually did pick that up before I left the salon. So I do have that now and I can try that out for some hair styling videos and then she also used the Armco high dive for moisture and shine, and then she sprayed grid for structure and hold and then blow-dried with a round brush to smooth out. My hair and then when she was done blow-drying my hair. She just did a dry point, cut haircut for texture and to take out some of my dead ends, and then she used the Finola Neutrik hair oil for smoothness and shine and then last but not least, sprayed the dry, shampoo called Death Valley from aren Co. After that, she went ahead and curled my hair and then finished off with the outerspace flexible, hold hairspray again from our eco. Our eco has a really really cute packaging, so I'm really excited to have discovered this brand from Tiffany. But again I will have all her information linked below.
