Valentine'S Day Makeup + Hair | Ft. Merit Beauty | Tykara Ann

Hey y'all welcome back to another video, as you can tell by the title, i'm going to be getting ready for valentine's day. I am going to be trying some new products from merit beauty. They sent me some products to try out today. So keep on watching to see how i incorporated this highlighter and this tinted lip oil into my makeup. Look for the night! Let'S get straight to it! I got all my products laid out all nicely lately with my makeup. Routine. I'Ve been starting off with my eyebrows. I just been liking like highlighting underneath my brow with some concealer only underneath like right here, i'm not the biggest fan of the halo brown. Look if you know what i'm talking about when you put concealer up here and down here, i'm not a big fan of putting makeup on my forehead. I feel like i've been through this before. If you watch my makeup videos, i'm still weird, i'm still like that. I don't like putting makeup on my forehead, i'm just going to be taking this elf eyebrow duo brush on one side, it's like a spoolie that you can brush your eyebrows with and then on the other side, it's like a really thin brush so that you can Kind of go underneath and underline your eyebrows. You know what i mean concealer that i'm using today is the same one that i normally always use in my everyday makeup, routine, and normally all of my everyday products are linked. I'M just going to take this and underline under my brow, then i have one of these little tiny, baby beauty blenders. I'M just going to use this to kind of blend it out a little bit so that it won't be such a harsh line. Okay. This is just like a little side note i forgot to moisturize my face. I know how could i do that, but i did so i'm just going to go in and do that very very quickly now, taking that same concealer, i'm just going to put it underneath. My eyes and then i have some blemishes, because every month i break out like on my chin. Let me know if y'all like that too, because that's really annoying to me, because my skin is never clear right here, because every single month, it's a new breakout for the same reason i still push through either way. I'M actually gon na go in a little bit. Heavier with the concealer than i normally would, because this is a special occasion i got ta look cute, i'm just gon na add a little bit more. Another new thing that i've been doing with my makeup is using this flat eyeshadow brush to blend out my concealer, at least for the most part, and then i go in with my beauty, blender afterwards, because with this you can be a lot more precise with where The concealer is - and i just find that it looks a lot better. So that's what i'ma do today, then, at this point i'll go ahead and go in with my beauty blender i like to get it damp just a little bit, not too wet, but just a little bit damp, because i like for my makeup to look kind of Dewy last minute i decided to add a little bit more concealer. I just used this elf hydrating camo concealer, with satin finish in the shade medium sand. This is very very light for me, but i just used it in the middle of my chin and then also the corner of my eye so that it won't look too crazy, but it'll still blend out well just to make the look a little bit more dramatic Than normal, because otherwise my earring just fell out, i'm just doing this to make the look a little bit more dramatic than normal, because otherwise this would just be like my regular everyday makeup routine, and i don't want to do like the same thing that i would Do every single day, i still want it to be like a little bit different. You know, okay, i don't know about y'all, but i already see a big difference: wow the things that concealer can do: okay, concealer, yes, and so now that the concealer is done. I'M going to go ahead and go in with my powder. I use makeup forever in the shade y 425, so this is a special occasion, so i just decided i will go ahead and put it on my forehead too, even though it irks me. I don't know why y'all, i don't know like uh, i'm putting this on. My forehead, i don't know my forehead, gets so oily. That'S probably one of the reasons why i should be putting makeup on my forehead or like at least powder or something to kind of try to prevent all that greasy looking oiliness. But i just can't like the fact that my forehead gets so oily makes me not want to put makeup on it, because i just get disgusted thinking about. Okay, makeup is on my forehead and, like my skin is oily, and it's just all mixing it together in i'm shocked that i don't have a lot of breakouts on my forehead knock on wood. I want to speak too soon because i normally don't break out on my forehead. I hope that i don't, i probably don't break out on my forehead, because i don't put makeup on it and look at me doing it today. So the base of my face is already done. We did the concealer, we did the powder and this powder is kind of like a full coverage foundation powder. So i don't wear foundation because i feel like this foundation powder plus this full coverage concealer. It should be fun right today. I want to be trying out a new blush. Normally i do the maybelline fit me blush, but this one is by mac and it is in the shade. Breezy give my cheeks some color a little bit. Oh my gosh, my earring. Okay, blush is done now. I want to move on to my eyes i'm going to keep it really simple today, not doing eye shadow because not the best at it, and i don't want to risk it we're just going to go for what we know today and i'm going to be using This maybelline falsies mascara for my lower lashes, oh actually before i do that, i'm actually going to line my waterline with this la girl ultimate intense stay, auto eyeliner. I like to do this because i love how intense it makes my eyes look. Now. I'M gon na go in with the mascara. I actually got some products in the mail that i want to try. Today i got a package from merit beauty. They sent me two products to try today and the first thing is the day glow. This is a highlighter balm. What'S really cool about this highlighter is that it comes in a stick like this, so you can literally just draw the highlight on which is very convenient, so i'm going to be using this today and then also they sent me this lip oil in the shade taupe. I'M really excited to try this out today, but first i'm going to go in with this highlighter, i'm just going to put on a little bit and then i'm going to blend it out with this beauty blender, so that it's not as harsh, but it's really pretty. On my skin, i really like this: it's in the shade cava, i'm also gon na put a little bit on my nose, okay, ooh and i'm putting a little bit right here too. You keep this though. Yes, i, like i like that. The last step in my makeup routine, is the lips. So i'm going to be lining my lips with this and i'm going to go over top with the lip oil. I was going to do like a red lip, but the only red lipstick that i have is like not this shade, because i typically don't wear makeup or red lipsticks. That'S this bright of a red and i feel like it'll, look kind of funny with like a different shade of red on my lips and like a different shade of red on my dress. So i'm just going to go with a nude lip today. I know that, typically, when you think of valentine's day, you think of red lip bold red lip winged eyeliner. This is not that video. This is a more chill natural type of video. Okay. Now i'm going to go in with this lip oil. I really like this really pretty. This is like kind of exactly the shade of my lips, my natural color. I have worked with merit before, but in case y'all don't know about them. I want to let y'all know that married is completely vegan and cruelty. Free and their packaging is recyclable, so i love all their products because they really focus on minimalism. They are all about the minimalistic beauty. I'M not shocked that i love these products because i don't really do too much with my makeup routine generally. I just did this to get it out of my face, but i'm actually kind of liking. It i feel like it, fits it's very cute, very girly, half of half down type of moment. You know, but i am going to spray it with this tiny locks, nourishing mist that i got from candy sweets, beauty, her products smells so so good to be walking around smelling like a candy shop.
