Top 10 Black Hair Books Ranked By Sales

Ultra black hair growth bookI’ve been asked a few times if I ever intend on writing a book on black hair care. When I first started on my hair journey a good few years ago I remember getting most of my advice from hair forums. As helpful as they were, I found that forums were lacking in ‘specificity’. I was a lurker so I never asked anything myself, I just did searches for my questions and I was never disappointed, there was always someone before me who had asked the same thing!

When I reached forum information overload, I remember thinking ‘Surely it can’t be this simple to grow your hair long can it?’. I needed to find out more, a step by step guide, if you will, on how to grow my hair long. And that’s when I purchased my first hair book, Ultra Black hair Growth by Cathy Howse.

Reading the same advice from the forum in book form did something for me that the forums probably never would have. They gave me belief that I could do it. It’s one thing when a bunch of anonymous women online show you back shots of their flowing long hair but it’s a totally different thing when the advice is in book form and comes from a real person who encourages you go meet her at the conferences she holds about hair care and products.

Was I was a bit naive? Maybe but it still gave me the belief I needed to officially create my first regimen. So back to my question, would I ever pen a hair book? Definitely maybe!
