Jennifer Hudson Celebrated Her Birthday By Paying Homage To Her Mom And Her Signature Hairstyle

Jennifer Hudson Is the absolute splitting image of her late mother and the songstress decided to pay homage to her mom by donning one of her signature styles.

Jennifer just turned 35 years old and she used her birthday to celebrate her loved ones including the ones not physically present with her.

Her late mom Darnell Donerson had a signature short hairstyle that Jennifer shared with her fans on Instagram and she said that on her birthday here mom would have said, “My baby, my baby is 35 now”. This was the caption she put on Instagram after sharing the picture:

My bday look was inspired by my absolute favorite pic of my mom ! Dolls, doll ! She would have said my baby, my baby is 35 now !

It has been 8 years since Jennifer lost her mom, her brother Jason and nephew Julian. Their lives were taken by her sister’s estranged husband who is currently serving two life sentences for the heinous acts.

Jennifer does not speak of the tragedy much but says she speaks to her loved ones all the time in her head. I cannot to this day imagine what it must be like to have lost so much at one time, but she has found ways to stay positive.

She has a foundation created in honor of her brother and donates school items every year on his birthday. Despite the tragedy we are happy Jennifer found the courage to share her mom’s picture and that she celebrated her birthday remembering her.

That hairstyle is nothing to sneeze at either, it proves that fashion, trends, and styles are cyclical because that cropped bob is one of the hottest styles out now.
