Warmer weather is on the way Naturals! Warmer weather and blooming flowers are making way for proms, spring break and WEDDINGS!! Yes, weddings are on the list of events that you must attend especially if you are the bride or a bridesmaid.

Spring and summer are the most popular seasons for saying “I do” and despite the hit TV show Bridezilla making wedding sounds like a nightmare the reality is wedding are fun, festive and flourishing so it’s time to get ready!

Every bride wants three major things:

► To be the most beautiful woman that day

► To be beautiful

Um…see a pattern? Ok, now I’m not saying that every bride is a superficial ogre wanting the world to revolve around her and her day…. but, any woman who claims she is not concerned about how good she looks on her wedding day is lying! It’s your day so you want to glow, shine, and literally take everyone’s breath away and darling…you damn well should!

Natural hair and weddings

They are a match made in heaven and as the natural hair movement has exploded to monumental proportions we are seeing more and more natural hair brides all over social media.

There are sites and magazines that focus only on natural brides and as traditional weddings are going out the window, you can expect to see just about any style of bride, bridesmaid and even groom you little heart can create. It’s up to you natural so think outside the box and allow your essence flow into your style for that unforgettable day.

Tips for every natural bride and/or bridesmaid

Flowers – Flowers are essential in any wedding and not just in your hands or on the church pews and tables. Every bride or bridesmaid looks better with flowers in her hair and natural hair is no exception!

It’s even better because our natural hair coupled with nature….see, the fit? Yea, flowers just bring your natural style out even more so find some way to incorporate flowers into your hair and don’t feel that you have to use real ones either, you can find pretty realistic looking artificial hair flower clips.

Romance – Romance is the center of a wedding so it should be the focus for your hair. Waterfall curls/coils/kinks are superb in a wedding so make don’t feel you need a straight style for your big day. Romantic hair is dreamy hair so let your imagination run wild.

Big hair – The bigger the better and NEVER feel you will go over the top. This is your day and you are supposed to have all eyes on you. This means dramatic, big hair that is not flat or boring.

Most of us have big hair with our lovely texture anyway so don’t try and tame the lovely tresses but rather work with them and allow them to show their greatness with big hairstyles whether wild or pinned to the hills. Work the big hair baby!

Color – Now, I’m not seeing a lot of color in wedding hair but why not? If you have some curls water falling and framing your face why not add some color that matches your colors in the wedding?

What better way to add even more attention to you than some highlights that bring your entire look together? Don’t forget hair chalk or even the cream make up temporary highlights trick. Someone has to do it first and why not let it be you?

If that is just too much for you then you could just get those colored flowers or accessories in your hair bringing your wedding colors together and completing your look.

Bling – There are so many hair accessories that are bright and sparkly so add that to your hair for added effect and beauty. Shiny pins, balls, headbands* and yes, even a gorgeous, over the top tiara. DO IT UP! This is the day to bust out the glam and your hair is DYING for the chance to be seen and admired.
