Big Curls - A Sexy Hair Style For A Casual Date Night

My husband really has a certain appreciation for a great roller set, don’t get me wrong he likes my hair straight, in a braid out, twist out or just a regular old wash and go, but If I do a roller set I can pretty much get away with murder. I first saw Big Hair Bettyy on Instagram and I was blown away by her big gorgeous curls and thought this style would be perfect for a casual evening out with your guy.

We love how much movement her hair has so we were curious to see how it was done, and of course she has a video that we just had to share. So there are a couple of ways to do this, you can do big curls with a flat iron* just like Bettyy demonstrates or you can do an old fashioned roller set after you flat iron*.

A fresh roller set could work as well depending on the size of your rollers, but there is something about using rollers on the day after you flat iron* that doesn’t make your curls so crazy tight.

Before your date, style your hair with your fingers instead of a brush or comb, you want to make sure your curls do not fall or get frizzy from excessive manipulation. Obviously with a great hairstyle you don’t just want it to last for a couple hours you kind of want it to last for the week so we recommend two things for your night time routine.

1. Re-roll your hair –  Bettyy demonstrates this in the video with her own rollers. We would suggest that when you do re-roll your hair, try not to be too neat, just put the rollers in where it makes sense so that you do not have any parts to worry about.

2. Pin curl your hair – Be careful with this because your can end up with flat curls if you do not know what you are doing. If you know how to do them pin curls are a pretty viable option for preserving your curls if you hate sleeping on rollers.
